ERIC, the ultimate professional electrician, really KNOWS HIS BUSINESS!! He arrived right on time and reviewed the Ring Video security device for doorbell replacement, got his tools from truck and had the device up and working in less than 20 minutes!!! EXCELLENT SERVICE!!

Eric was efficient, knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Work looks great and no observable damage to walls. Very pleased with service! He also came back to take care of a few other things he noticed without any problem or charge.

Eric came when he said he was going to be here, was easy to work with, explained everything he was doing, and gave us great advice on other things we asked him about. We would hire him again without question! Wish we'd known about him sooner.

Got a call 20 minutes before appt time Eric said he was running 10 minutes late. Was thoughtful to call. He showed up at 910am looked over work to be done gave price quote and immediately got to work fixing our long list of problems. I was unable to explain all our problems over the phone so he did have to leave to drive a half hour to nearest home depot to get correct supplies. He finished all other work he could then left for supplies. He was back in about an hour and about 45 minutes after his return all work was completed then tested. He was great to work with. He answers his phone he does all the work no middle man. Would hire again and recommend his work.

The house I live in is approximately 90 years old. We upgraded from fuse box to a circuit breaker in 1993. We once hired an electrician, who placed GFCI receptacles in the kitchen, and we thought we were doing well. He left one receptacle with a loose connection to the wall, and we learned to live with it. The front porch lights were out, and he said he could not fix them. So we learned to live with it. He installed a two-way lightswitch in a three-way light fixture area, and advised us to use only one of the switches. So we learned to live with it. When I met Eric, I was expecting to upgrade our electric service to the house. He was amicable, and looked at the areas I wanted to update/fix, and he gave me an estimate. Once work began, we realized that Eric not only met our expectations, but exceeded them in every way. My kitchen outlet has a dedicated circuit for the convection oven, and the connection is tight, not at all loose. I can go upstairs and use a hall light instead of a flashlight to navigate around. The entryway lights work for the first time in 20 years. The dining room light works. When I turn a light on, I don't get the crackling noise from the switch or the bulb in any of the rooms. I have a dedicated circuit for my air conditioner, another dedicated circuit for a space heater. A new outlet was installed in the bedroom, so I don't have to string a surge protector across the room to plug in my cpap machine. There are numerous issues Eric took care of, he is very neat and knowledgeable.

Eric is professional, friendly and extremely competent. This is the second time I have hired him. The costs are good & reasonable. I will continue to recommend him.

Arrived on time, removed old ceiling/light vents, installed new ceiling/light vents. Very meticulous, professional, cleaned up all areas and removed waste. We will definitely use this company again in the future.

Very well satisfied with the quality and how long the service took. Only small hiccup was that perhaps he was TOO efficient; had a miscommunication at the beginning that sent him in the wrong direction, but this was very quickly resolved and couldn't be happier with the result.

He had to drill 2 access points through my garage wall for the camera writing, mount the cameras, and then run the electrical wiring to the cameras inside the garage. Even though it was a garage, he insisted on fishing the wiring where possible to make the job as neat as possible which I appreciated very much. He was very responsive to my questions and concerns, and his work was very professional, clean and I'd highly recommend him. I also plan to have him return for additional work in the future.

He worked for over half an hour and went from the kitchen down the stairs to the basement to the electric box many,many times. Since he could not fix it, he absolutely refused to take any money. Also, he was very personable.. I certainly would hire him again. Update: Eric said he thought the problem was in the modem for my computer. After many conversations with different Time Warner employees, I finally insisted on speaking to a supervisor. ( It was so difficult to understand their English and they apparently thought I didn't know what I was talking about). Finally a technician came here and checked my computer. He found the problem was the modem. When he replaced it, the static disappeared, If Eric hadn't identified the problem, I would still not be able to listen to the radio.

Eric provided OUTSTANDING service. He did major work at our home. He was professional and and very competent. Eric came when my regular electrician was asking me to wait a month before he could get to me. He is now our regular electrician, I HIGHLY recommend Eric.

Eric was prompt, professional, and a tireless worker. He was neat and made the single wall repair required very easy to do. He installed six lights in each room and two lights in the attic space. All the installed lights look great and work perfectly. He also rewired a switch that now allows me to turn on and off a light in another room from two locations.

We were having trouble with power in our bathroom. The light and fan would flicker on and off, then stopped powering on all together. I called Capital District Electric and Eric was able to schedule me quickly. Eric was on time and got right to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem and found the root cause. Eric took the time to explain what the issue was and how he planned on fixing it. I will definitely call him again and would recommend his services to anyone in need.

Terrific! Eric called the day before with time of arrival. He arrived on time and was completely prepared for all the jobs. He worked straight through finished everything, cleaned up and did a very professional job. Eric was pleasant and extremely competent. I would call him again and refer him to everyone.

I called Capital District Electric and spoke to Eric. I informed him of the problems I was having in my new construction home of two years and he scheduled me for the next day. I was having problems with circuit breakers tripping constantly....ex: garage door not working, security system not working, awning not working, sprinkler system not working along with many outlets that were not working. After getting no satisfaction with the builders' electrician that originally installed the electric in our home, I decided to look up electricians here on Angie's List. I read excellent reviews about Eric at Capital District Electric and I must say.......HE LIVES UP TO HIS REVIEWS! He did an excellent job replacing all that was improperly installed buy the builders' electrician. He did this work in July 2015 and It is now October 2015 and NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!! Eric will be the electrician that I will call for all electrical work in the future.
