I read many good reviews and chose Capital Electric because of them. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. After waiting several days for a return call, Mr. Smith said he could do the job a week from when we talked. When the appointed day/time came, nothing happened. He did not show up and did not call - I gave him my cell and land line numbers. Too bad. I guess he has plenty of business and blew me off for something else. Now I have to start over.

Capital District Electric was the first place I happened to choose on here and I’m glad I did. Eric got back to me within a few hours and was able to come over the same day. He was polite and professional the entire time. He got right to work, explained the issue, got a new part, and installed it the same day. He moves fast and is focused on getting the job done. When he installed the new breaker, he even cleaned up a ground wire that we didn’t know was just hanging in the old box. I’m very happy with his work and will definitely use him in the future.

I called and the technician came right away. My chandelier had dropped down and I thought it would come crashing down any minute. He determined it wasn't actually an emergency and a very easy fix-turns out the kids had been playing with the key that controlled a mechanism that automatically lowers and raises the chandelier. We just moved in so we had no idea what this key did. It literally just took a turn of the key to make the chandelier go back up. Even though he came on an emergency call, he didn't charge me! It's hard to find nice honest people like this these days. I will definitely use him in the future for any electrical work I need done!

Made room in his schedule to ensure he completed the job on day he promised. Better yet...he came in $50 under his estimate price. Will definitely consider contacting on future electrical work.

Eric returned my initial inquiry in a timely manner. We scheduled an appointment and he arrived a few minutes early. He completed the necessary work and made recommendation for a fix to prevent further issues. His professionalism was evident from the beginning. I immediately inquired about the cost of additional work, new wiring and installation of overhead lighting in our family room which has been too dark since the day we moved in. Eric made some recommendations for that work at a price that was well within our budget. He came back in time when scheduled, completed all work in the time promised, cleaned up after himself, and was genuinely thorough. The best experience I’ve had with any contractor I’ve hired for any work around the house yet. I will recommend Eric without hesitation to anyone I know and I’m sure will be having him back for additional projects in the future.

I had an excellent experience with Capital District Electric. His response to phone or text was very prompt. He called ahead of time to let me know he was running a little late. When he arrived, he got right to work and handled the job with professionalism. After everything was done, he cleaned up the mess he had made. He was wonderful to work with and stuck to the estimate quote he had given me prior to the work. I will definitely be using Capital District for my future electrical work.

Excellent the appointment was scheduled for 9:00 am on 8/23/17 and Eric showed a little before the appointed time. I explained the problem and after looking at the dryer connection he installed a new 30 amp fuse. He also installed a new ground fault outlet in my kitchen that was not installed correctly when the renovation was originally done by another contractor. We also discussed a number of other services I am planning on doing. In all he was here approximately 45 minutes and the cost of all work was around $200. This was much better than the other estimates I received on the dryer work alone. I am planning on having Capital District Electric do more work on my house in the coming months.
