w can't say enough about carmen. he is meticulous, honest, trustworthy & just a really nice guy. if there is something that he missed, when pointed out to him, he does it, without additional reminders. this is the second job he's completed. the first was major since he painted & repaired a very large area of our house. he also vacuums daily if needed, covered & moved all furniture. no paint on the floors or where it didn't belong. works by himself and got the jobs done to our satisfaction. iwe'll be having him return to replace our large deck. if you had a+ rating, he'd get it. he does business the old fashioned way-with a handshake. his prices are very reasonable.

Carmen is a hard working, very pleasant person. His attention to detail is impressive and his price was fair. He consulted with us on each phase of the work as to our wants and desires. The entire job took about a week and a half. He was prompt and courteous. Needless to say that we would hire him again.

Change out light fixtures, fix fence and secure gable vent

Carmen was quick to reply; assessed the job and called me on my cell phone; had the job done within 48 hours of my initial call. Everything was completed in fine order.

He said he would show up on Monday to check the job out.......never showed, never called !! Very professional... thanks for the reference Angie's List !! I would be better off asking outside here.

Carmen was great to work with. He was always prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He cleaned up nicely at the end of each day and throughout the day, which I appreciated. He was meticulous in every aspect of the project. This was the neatest and most organized demolition I have ever seen! He was a perfectionist when it came to finishing off the wall and did a great job working with our old custom baseboard trim to piece it together as seamlessly as possible. The most challenging part of the project was patching the hardwood floors. We knew this would be difficult, but did not know the extent of the patch work necessary until the walls and closet doors came down. Carmen tackled it extremely well. We did not want to be forced into refinishing the entire floor and he worked within those guidelines, going the extra mile to match the floor as well as he could. He had to do a lot of work on the new floor boards to get them to fit and even matched the grain on each board as closely as he could. I appreciate the extra time he took to do that. I would hire Carmen again and recommend him to others.

Carmen called me back within a few hours of my initial call. He came punctually (5 minutes early) and looked at everything. He told me that we would be better off paying hourly, since I had a bunch of odd jobs. Carmen was wonderful, a very NICE guy, with a great work ethic. He did everything very professionally and made sure to clean up after himself. If he couldn't do something, he would let me know. When he repaired the drapes, he went above and beyond the call of duty. He fixed more than I had asked him to, because he saw that it would break eventually also. I would definitely have him again and recommend him to others.

This was my first use of Angie's List and I was very pleased with the result. When I called him, he was here within a day to look at the job and take measurements for an estimate.This was in late April and he set up a time at the end of May if we agreed with his estimate. When he called with the estimate, it was agreed that he could go ahead with the job. The original date had to be rescheduled because of the rain. It was set for one week later. He came a couple of days before to get a contract signed and to receive a partial payment. When the day arrived, he was on time and he had his brother to help him.. They worked from ten in the morning until about two in the afternoon to finish it. When it was finished, I was completely satisfied with it and would recommend him to any one who asked. One of the things that impressed me was that when the job was finished, they noticed that a small section of the railing was not quite level. I didn't notice it but they worked for 15 or 20 minutes to make sure it was right. I would certainly call him for any other handyman work I would need. I would certainly use Angie's List for finding people to do the jobs I may have in the future.

I was happy with the handymen services but not so much of the carpentry services of C&L Handyman Services. He was pleasant. He came when he said he would. He was busy so it was hard for me to get a schedule.

We discovered the damage on the day before we were to leave to visit some family members and contacted Carmen. He was very understanding of circumstances, and made time to inspect the job while we were home. As he did not have all the equipment needed, he had to return to address the problem the next day while we would not be there. When we returned in a few days, we found the job finished as promised. Carmen is totally professional, and his work is of the highest quality, and we highly recommend him.

Carmen was able to give us an estimate within just a day or two of us calling. He was able to schedule the work within the next week. We were very happy with how smoothly it all went.

From first contact for an estimate to the project was complete Carmen was a pleasure to work with. Carmen puts his customers desires and schedule first and is very accommodating. He stopped by to do the removal so I could paint and promptly completed the install when I was ready. He is very good. He was very honest and reliable.

I called this company to replace an old basement door, and rebuild the frame on a house that is more than 100 years old. When Carmen came to do the estimate, he added a couple of other smaller jobs--stabilizing a hallway stair railing, rebuilding around a door knob on an old interior door. I was very pleased with the quality of work he did, and I thought the price was reasonable, especially since he had to replace the entire door frame. He was very responsive and returned phone calls; he was very busy and had to postpone the original estimated day, but came on a weekend, and completed the job within one day. I was extremely pleased and will definitely call him again.

We were looking for many tasks small/large that needed to be completed in a house we currently are renting. We had hoped to get things started and finished before Aug. 2nd. So I contacted this business hopping we could get some legitimate service. I have a son who suffers severely with autism so my house is rather, one would think, destitute looking and empty. However this is for his never ending behavioral issues and safety. Service provider did come and was showed the various jobs that needed to be done. I also explained that my son would be in school 7- 2:30 which I figured was a good working slot. We discussed the time frame and we were told we would be emailed an estimate. That was fine! So three days go by then a week and now we are going into the middle of the month. As it is now I have VERY little time for personal task. I have to look again for help! I feel this service provider was very unprofessional and judgmental for not following through. Maybe he thought the work was too much or I was too poor to pay for the task! Whatever the case be upfront! Please!

Mr. Amedio of C&L was prompt, professional and friendly. Repair was done to our satisfaction. We have already scheduled him for another job. He has also been very good at returning phonecalls and answering questions.

My phone call was returned and the next day he showed up and looked the job over. He was going to price the materials needed forthe job and call me back with a price . Two days later I received a call with the price and when he could do it. They showed up promptly when they said they would and finished the job when they said they would. Very nice to work with and plan to use them again.

He was very thorough, fair, and professional. He was on time. The reason why I did not take him is because their was a guy who was closer. But he was fine.

Fine. He did not pressure us and totally understood the project was quite pricey. Rethinking a cheaper alternative.

I contacted C&L for estimates on a variety of things I need or would like to have done. They responded promptly, gave me an itemized estimate. I went with the most pressing "need"....storm/screen door replacement. That was done today, and I'm very happy with the service. I would definitely call them again for my "needs" or "wants".

His name is Carmen Amedio, and I got him off Angie’s List. I can only tell you wonderful things about him, he is absolutely terrific. I absolutely would be using him again in the future.
