Terrible...Carmen was suppose to come on Thursday, 9/22. Never showed up, never called.

I think he is the one that came and then never called after he saw the project.

Carmen was great! I needed the doors hung right away and he rearranged his schedule to hep me. I thought that it would be a somewhat easy job, but I was wrong! Carmen ran into issues and too everything in stride. When the walls needed additional support, he went out and obtained matching wood for support. Then, when the bypass door would not work, he went out again and got a matching door for me. He never complained and was very professional. The mess was completely cleaned up for me too! Prior to Carmen working here, I was used to cleaning up the mess left behind. I cannot say enough good things about him! I will definitely use him again!

They returned my phone call. They were clean and they were fast. They were affordable. They showed up.

He was wonderful. He's not here anymore. He was fabulous. I just love him. He gets A plus plus plus. He charges by the hour. He is well worth it. He comes in and he doesn't talk down and he talks about what you want to have done and asks some questions, look around and look at all the things you want done. He goes shopping, he comes back, he does the work and then he just asks if you want to take a look and then he hands you your bill. He's quick. I never had to ask him to do anything over again. It was really nice. He did a great job on everything.

I called and left a message requesting a call back to schedule work that I needed done at our office in Albany NY. I never heard back from them so I called again the following day to follow up. I left a voicemail once again and requested that they call me back even if they were unable to help. I have not heard from them and it is now a week later.

He called and came when he said he was going to come. He looked over everything and even took pictures. He even replaced light bulbs for me. I just never heard back from him for an estimate.

Very happy with the work performed and will be using this provider again. Very responsive and professional, polite and did everything he said he would and for the price he quoted.

Because I read that this is not the first time Carmine hasn't responded, I decided that this was an indicator of his reliability, and that it was not worth my time to pursue him.

Carmen brought the new door Wednesday morning around 9:30. Although there were challenges, he was able to complete the job by that afternoon. He left the remains behind. Another time if I wanted him to do a job, l'd ask for a quote including removal of the discarded material and cleanup. He did a wonderful job of replacing the old door and setting it in its place dispite the sloppy work made by a previous owner who had been careless when he added the hallway ( where the door is) to enlarge the small cottage.

This handyman was not able to address the problem, but recommended a certified electrician. I did obtain an electrician and had to pay an additional charge for this electrician to identify that the affected outlets were out due to a GFI that was tripped and not reset. I did not think that I needed a handyman to replace the faucet that was leaking and the replacement of a broken transom window hinge operator. I did those things myself.

Carmen was wonderful. Everything I read about him was true. He is very professional and personable. He calls and confirms the date and time he will be there. He is meticulous in his work. He takes the time to explain what he has to do and why. When he was finished, he inspected the work with me to ensure I was satisfied. He even noticed some work that was not done properly on my windows and fixed that as well. He is busy, due to his excellent reviews, but the wait is worth it. I definitely plan to use him again

My wife and I met with Carmen in May, and went over the 20-25 repairs needed inside and outside of our home. Some repairs were minor. He was very pleasant, and seemingly took good notes on each repair. He was honest in that he was inundated with work, and wouldn't likely be available until July; however, he would try to get some of the inside work done, should he have "rainy days" with his other work. We didn't hear from him, so we reached out to him again at the very end of July. He was honest in that he forgot about us, but then scheduled us for the following Friday at 9am. He said he would call us several days before to run over the repairs that were pressing. As such, I took that Friday off of work. When we didn't hear from him prior to that Friday, my wife called him the Thursday night before. He admitted that he forgot us again. He offered to reschedule it to the following Wednesday, but my wife and I both have limited opportunity to take days off in our field of work, so that Wednesday wasn't good for us. To his credit, he did return my wife's call the following Tuesday, but at that point, neither of us felt that we could rely on him to keep his future appointment with us, so we went in a different direction. Because of limited vacation time, and a somewhat limited budget, we held off on other projects until Carmen could fit us into his schedule, which unfortunately never happened, and we are now back to square one.

Carmen Amedio is outstanding! My husband and I searched Angie's List to find a contractor for our kitchen renovation project. Based on the reviews we read, we called Carmen to lay out the specifics of the project. We left a message...he returned the call the next day. Carmen agreed to come to our house to assess our project. He came within three days. He said he would be at our house between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. He arrived promptly at 5:15 p.m. We immediately clicked with Carmen. He was polite and pleasant and really tried to understand what we had in mind for our project. We also mentioned some other unrelated work we were interested in having done. As we were waiting for Carmen's estimate, our garbage disposal (which had been failing) separated from the sink and caused a small flood in our under-the-sink cabinet. We called Carmen and left a message hoping he might be able to help. He returned the call the same day and came to fix the problem the very next day. He was again on time (in fact early)! Carmen reaffixed the garbage disposal and stopped the flood as a temporary measure until we could pick up a new disposal. He charged us a very reasonable fee, particularly given that he responded on an emergency basis. The estimate that Carmen subsequently provided for the kitchen project was also very reasonable. We agreed to have Carmen complete the work, but told him some parts of the work were more immediate than others. Despite Carmen's very busy schedule, he agreed to parse out the project to address our immediate needs. First, he anchored the upper kitchen cabinet that holds our stoneware and glasses, which was coming loose from the wall. This allowed us to once again utilize the cabinet, which had been emptied for several months. We feel very confident using the cabinet now as Carmen took extra steps to be certain that it is secure. While not part of the original kitchen project, we also asked Carmen to install a new toilet and a new garbage disposal. He took care of both installations as priorities. He agreed to "officially" start the kitchen project when he returned from his vacation. Carmen actually called from his vacation to confirm his start date! Part of the project was installing intricate crown molding and top panels to our existing kitchen cabinets. Carmen did a phenomenal job! His work was meticulous. His attention to every detail was evident. He even offered ideas (which were great). My husband and I are both perfectionists...Carmen is too! Not only did he want us to be 100% satisfied, he would not rest until he felt the work was perfect. Carmen is an extremely hard worker. Each time he arrived at our house, he got right to work. He took no breaks and worked straight through lunch to the end of the day. Carmen even worked on a weekend. We had absolutely no qualms about leaving Carmen in our house by himself to complete the work. Carmen is professional, reliable, skilled and a very nice person, as well. He will be installing a new tile floor in our kitchen and entryways later this month. We are looking forward to what we expect to be another excellent product. He will also be repairing some cracks in our walls/ceiling. We feel very fortunate to have found Carmen and plan to call upon him for other projects in the future.

Carmen examined my old tool shed and said that he could build new doors off site and install them later. He took some measurements and returned a few weeks later (I was in no hurry) with perfectly fitting new doors and a piece to replace the shredded plywood near the tool shed door. He was totally professional and courteous and I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Carmen arrived in a timely manner and set to work immediately replacing the faucet and drain. He quickly removed the old plumbing and installed the new faucet, but there was a problem with the drain that came with the faucet not fitting the sink. This issue was quickly resolved and the faucet and drain now work great. Next he wired the outside electric receptacle, crawling under the porch to drill access holes. Everything went fine until he found the receptacle box we were connecting to was too small for the new wires. Carmen was able to solve the problem with an extension box and now I have electricity on my back porch. The porch railing repair and installation of the freeze-proof faucets went off without a hitch, as did the touch-up painting on the side of our house. Carmen performs quality work in a timely manner and is very good at problem solving when unexpected issues show up. He is professional and knowledgeable. He is also dependable, returning phone calls and showing up when he says he will. C&L Handyman Services is very reliable and does an excellent job. I would have no problem hiring them again or recommending them to anyone else.

I reached the answering machine when I called. I left my name and number but no one ever returned my call.

Carmen responded to my voicemail within the hour and made arrangements to come out the same afternoon. He showed up early and was very friendly and courteous. Although he was not familiar with the unit, with the aid of instructions and my advice he got the job done in about 20 minutes. I would hire Carmen again for any job I needed done and highly recommend to anyone.

HomeDepot delivered the materials to the wrong address so we needed to reschedule our appt. C & L is not at fault. Carmen will call me to advise when he has available times.

Carmen was all you could ask for! He called ahead to set a time, was flexible enough to accommodate my Dr.s appointment, explained in detail what he was going to do, and then worked it to perfection. He was very professional, and cleaned up after his work. I'd recommend him to any of my friends without hesitation.

This was a great experience. Carmen returned calls promptly and provided clear cost estimates. He followed through with each item and did great work - thorough and good detail. He had good ideas about how to approach certain repairs. He was totally dependable with both scheduling and work completed. I would recommend C & L Handyman Services wholeheartedly.
