Description of Work: He restored and refinished a Cushman table for me. It was old and the leaves were not functioning. The table is beautiful and solidly put together. We were very pleased with the way it looks now.

It took longer than expected, I was not happy with service. Father recommend son to do the work after purchasing bed from his antique store in Troy. I would not recommend his services.

Mike Davis did a fabulous job restoring and repairing our antique hutch. There was a large crack in one of the legs, which now that it is repaired, it is not visible at all. He strengthened the leg and the entire piece and tightened any loose areas. As far as restoration, the wood tone is now a magnificent brown and all the drawer handles and door openers are polished to a bright shine. He restored the glass to pristine quality. He replaced the worn suede material in the upper drawer with a soft, high quality fabric. All in all, I can't say enough positive things about Mike Davis -- he picked up and delivered the piece, which was no small feat. He was prompt, professional and his price was very reasonable for the quality of the work that he did.

Mike Davis, owner of Bournebrook Restoration Services, came to evaluate a large crack in one of the legs of our antique cabinet/hutch and to examine what it would take to restore this piece, which had never been refinished since at least the 1940's. Mike assured us that he could repair the leg and explained how he would do it. He also explained what needed to be done to strip and refinish the piece that had been neglected for much too long. We were more than curious to see what the final outcome would be. When the piece was returned to us, we were just overwhelmed with its elegant beauty. While we had always enjoyed having this antique piece in our dining room, we had no idea just how stunning it really is. The quality of the restoration -- the glasswork , the brilliant antique gold of the handles and knobs, the glow of the carvings in the woodwork, the beautiful brown shade of the oak -- it is just an amazing transformation. The care and attention that Mike gave is clearly evident , and the skill with which he restored the entire piece is of the highest caliber. Mike and his helper took great care in transporting the piece to and from his workshop. His reliability, attention to detail and courteous manner are all added pluses to the quality of his work ethic.
