It went very smoothly. They scheduled my job 4 - 7 weeks after signing the contract - I only wished I had called them sooner so the doors could have been replaced earlier than December. I tried calling smaller outfits / private contractors to comparison shop but most did not return my calls. I think the quality of the materials & labor is excellent but the price seems high - never done this before.

Steve from Bennett Contracting came to give us an estimate on replacing a garage roof, remodeling a kitchen and adding a half bath for a house we were thinking of purchasing. We were quoted at $200 for an estimate, but he charged $75 because he couldn't give an accurate estimate on the kitchen/bath. He was late, but apologized. The roof estimate was a bit high ($20k to remove existing roof and add a gable roof to a two car garage built into a hill). As for the kitchen/bath, this house has *the oddest* kitchen setup so figuring out where to add a half bath and how to remodel the kitchen was very hard. Steve said a kitchen expert on their team would need to come out. He gave us a ballpark estimate for the kitchen/bath which was $30-40k for the kitchen (which included knocking down a structural wall) and $10k for the bath, again I feel this was a bit high for the kitchen at least. While he was there he took a quick look around the house at some other things I was concerned about, and was able to tell us that the floor under the glued on carpets was indeed hardwood. He also noticed that the windows which had Pella latches were NOT in fact Pella windows (tricky homeowners!!!). He was very nice and was able to give us some good expert opinion on the house and said we could call if we had more questions. His opinion helped us decide to not buy the house as it could be a money pit.

They are knowledgeable, courteous and their work ethic is remarkable. They clean up after themselves. They are honest and are just wonderful. They are so professional in every way. We are going to have them back because we were so impressed. Their price was a little higher than their competition, but you get what you pay for.

The work was done promptly and the workers were very curteous. All work areas were cleaned up at the end of each day. I was kept informed of their findings and what also may be done to improve the finished product. Overall, this firm performed the work professionally and with the least disturbance to my life. I would definately hire them again.

The experience with Bennett was wonderful from the initial estimate when the job supervisor met with us and went over our options for fixing our problem, to the gentleman that came out to do the work. He was a real pleasure to work with, and I hope to use Bennett again in the spring for some tile work. We are thrilled with the quality of the work, and the professionalism of everyone at Bennett.

first window instalation went well. door installation went well. second on was not done as well, but the company was very responsive, repaired/corrected all problems in a matter of days after completion an even spotted a problem with the door we hand't noticed nd fixed that. all thefollow up was no charge. there price was on the high end, and they use alot of contract crews , so that is a draw back for us. you never know who will be doing the work.

From the first visit from Brian, the estimator, to the last day of construction Bennett was more then I could ask for. Their work was out standing. They took an old cabin and made it look new again. They were up front about everything including price. Answered all my question and concerns right away. Clean up was good the crew was pleasant and helpful. I would use them for any further work that I might need

Our interaction with them was excellent. They were very professional and on time. They gave us a good price but we decided to do it on our own. We would consider using them in the future.

We had two guys on the job for about four days. They took the windows out and repaired the water damage in the wood framing of the wall. They replaced the wood sill and windows, caulked, wrapped the sill and window frames in aluminum siding, and caulked again. I didn't get a lot of bids on this job because most contractors who came out to the house seemed intimidated by the work involved. Bennett was not intimidated. I feel their prices might be somewhat high but we got professional work done for our money and are very satisfied with the results.

The other two estimates that we got are slightly high. We don?t know how long we are going to stay here, so we are not sure if we would use their services or not. The quote for the railing was $5000, the ceiling was $3000 and the crown molding was $500. I thought that the service technician who came out was extremely good. If the price was not so high we would just go with them.

Their quote was a bit high so we went another direction. We did use them for some other work though at my husband's office but they did a good job replacing windows. We were happy with the window work.

Everything went fine. They were punctual and did good work.

I love my ?new? house. Bennett Contracting Inc. did a major ?curb appeal? update on my home. The building materials, roll off, inspector etc. showed up at the designated time and all materials were the correct size, color and model the first time around. There were no delays encountered for any of those details. The workmen were very professional. I believe I received good value for the money I spent. The whole experience exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Bennett Contracting, Inc. to any of my family members or friends. My neighbors are very pleased with the new look of my home.

It went very well. George, the estimator, was prompt and thorough. People from Bennent Contracting were very accomodating in scheduling the work. (They scheduled around what was convenient for us.) And I can't say enough good things about Bruce who did the work. He did a beautiful job and definitely had the right temperament for dealing with the inevitable glitches that arise in such work. The bathroom fan vents seemed to create the biggest problems. The master bath fan was almost completely clogged (hence the mildew problem) and there was a kink in the vent tubing which took some time to straighten out. The fan/light that was initially purchased for the hallway bath was square shaped whereas the previous fan was a large round one. Bruce tracked down a larger round shaped fan/light so there was no delay in getting the entire job completed. Plus he added a dab of paint where a previous job-doer had "torn" the ceiling adjoining the previous fan, so the area looks great. The vent hose had become disconnected so Bruce fixed that problem, too, before hooking the fan to it. All debris was removed and Bruce kept our bedroom and closet as dust free as possible. He also kept us posted on his progress and consulted us when a decision needed to be made. Very professional. We have two cats which we kept out of the work area, but they did race to the front door a few times in hopes that Bruce would let them out. He didn't and just spoke quietly to them.

They did a good job. This entitled a full remodel, lights, woodworking, etc.

We had several small fixture repairs that had to be done quickly. In addition, the wires that run from pole to house had been pulled away from the house in a storm. While National Grid handled the basic repair on the main feed, we needed a more permanent fix. The contractor was very responsive to our request, fitting us in among other work. The electrician was helpful, cheerful, prompt and professional. Communication was excellent. Everyone we dealt with at Bennett did a great job of keeping us informed and checking with us about schedules, job requirements, our needs. We are pleased with the service we received. I would definitely use them again.

I was happy with them. They started exactly on time. There was a bit of a delay completing it. They put trim around a sunroom and they did a great job on that. The cleanup was perfect. They are a little pricey.

A true professional. Called about shoring up two-level porch. Steve showed up early, was thorough and thoughtful in his assessment and explained things quite well. I received the estimate when promised and it was detailed but easy to understand. They were quite expensive compared to other estimates received but were by far the most professional - many times you get what you pay for. Because of the cost involved I have decided to postpone having the work done but would certainly consider using Bennett Contracting in the future.

No problems, this was a month-long job. And it was done during the 9//11 experience.
