From the salesman coming to my house to look at the job and giving me a price on the spot, to the actual installation, the company did a very good job. The new window is beautiful and tight fitting, and I'm glad I hired Bennett Contracting to do the work. The installers were great guys who knew what they were doing and also didn't make me feel uncomfortable being in my home. They were polite, friendly and had a great attitude. There was one hitch, which was taken care of promptly. On the first attempt at installation, it was discovered that the projection of the window unit came through a tad bit too deep -- 1.25 inches to be exact -- and would not fit because of the gutters on the house. Things happen. I wasn't upset. That afternoon, the installers took the window to the manufacturer and that company made the necessary adjustment. I was given an appointment to install for the very next day. Unfortunately, extremely bad weather postponed the installation for another 2 weeks. The work was started and completed on December 13, a very cold day. The installers were efficient and professional and cleaned up as they went along. They removed all debris, swept and vacuumed. If it wasn't for the beautiful new five-pane bow window, I wouldn't have known any work had been done on my house. If I could change anything, it would be having phone calls returned from the scheduler. As instructed by the scheduler, who said to call if I hadn't heard from him by a certain date, I called him on a Wednesday, a week after the "certain date." I didn't hear back from him until the following Monday. He had what I'm sure is a good reason, to him, for not returning the call right away, that being he was waiting for more information so that when he called, he'd have a complete scenario to give me. A quick phone call telling me this would have been appreciated. I've worked in customer service, and I would never let someone hang for three business days. Even with this, I still gave the company an A for responsiveness because overall, that's what it deserves. I plan on hiring Bennett very soon to replace all the windows in my house, and I know I'll get the same good service and product.

The work crew was on time both days, worked all day, kept everything as clean as possible, answered all question and did an excellent job.

The carpenters were on time and professional. We had several different workers because of the type of work performed. We were always kept informed. We highly recommend this company.

The person who came to install my windows was prompt and extremely professional. He didn't make a huge mess and cleaned up after himself. I even asked him an unrelated question and he gave me an answer, which I appreciated. I would definitely use them again!

From the first visit, we wanted this group. We hoped other estimates would come in higher so we would not be faced with a tough decision. We were not since Bennett's estimate was far lower than a company we had used before. Measurements (windows and siding) were taken to help with accurate estimate and re-taken even more precisely once the contract was agreed. When the materials were ready (about three-four weeks) work began. The crew was outstanding, especially Chris the manager. All were friendly and knowledgeable but, beyond that, totally professional in everything they did, an so hard working. They seldom stopped for a moment (did they even eat lunch??) Each day everyone arrived on time (Jared was 30 minutes early every day!) Materials were kept under control throughout the working day, cleaned and stored every evening. All questions were answered completely and in a very understandable way. When some old siding was removed it was revealed that there was a substantially dangerous situation with our electric wiring (due to another repair after a storm). The situation was explained very carefully to me, but the wheels for a safe and timely correction of the problem were already in motion by that time. Even the glitches seemed to run like clockwork with these people! When I showed some frustration at the way earlier repair (NOT by Bennett) must have been done, Chris explained why the other carpenter might have done it that way. Who knows, but I was impressed with his professionalism when he could have just as easily complained about the other guy. "Professionalism" was the name of the game with this crew. The house looks great. The windows work so well. The iron railing (an after thought on our part, but easily managed by Bennett, and cheaper than another estimate with lesser quality materials) finishes the whole project. Our only regret, was that we had not called them earlier for other work. We will definitely use this company again!

Originally contacted Bennet to replace 1 small basement window that I had broken. I originally contacted in early September. After playing phone tag numerous times with the planner, I finally just went to the office and dropped the 150.00 deposit to get this done before it got cold and snow flies. I waited and waited for someone to come look at this, and played phone tag yet again, this time with the estimator. Finally scheduled it for early October. He came and looked at the window, measured it, and stated that they would get back to me as to when it will be done. That was about three weeks ago and no contact still. So, after almost 2 months, 150.00, and a couple dozen phone calls along with a trip to the main office, the window is still broken, and I am still waiting for any word at all as to when this will be done. And yes, snow is in the forecast. I sincerely thought 2 months time would have been plenty to get this done. I have to wonder if they tend to overlook the smaller jobs and smaller cost jobs. The people I have dealt with have been mostly pleasant, and I will work with them again for my next project. Positive review this time, but if the responsiveness is the same in the future, I will have to go elsewhere. It just felt like I was small potatoes for these folks so I wasn't high on the list. Any time it takes more than one phone call to get a result, I get wary. John did a spectacular job on the window. He was pleasant and easy to deal with.

The kitchen was gutted and remodeled in a 1925 house. The kitchen was previously remodeled in the 1960's. The salesman visited and discussed the job with us in the late spring. He gave us an estimate of the cost and the options. He suggested suppliers we could use for the cabinets, flooring, and tile but we were not required to use the ones he suggested. We ordered the cabinets and countertop on our own and they installed the cabinets. The countertop was installed by the manufacturer. We selected the flooring and tile and they installed it. We wanted the job to start in August or September and they began the job in late August. They gutted the old kitchen and then re-wired, plumbed, sub-floor, insulated, sheet rock, cabinet installation, flooring, trim, painting and tile installation. The carpenter was a true craftsman. Here was here on time every day and was very easy to work with. There was a delay in finishing the job as the tile we selected was back ordered. Once it arrived they arranged for the carpenter to come and finish the job.

Bennett Contracting replaced 5 skylights. They were neat and professional. The workman communicated with me throughout the replacement.

Bennett did a great job and I would use them again and recommend to anyone looking for replacement windows.

All the work went on schedule by experienced workmen. We loved the end results.

The men doing the work were friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. They were comfortable answering any questions I asked during the project.

Excellent. They responded with the first phone call I made to them. Set up an appointment for an estimate within a few days. Steve D was polite, responsive and thorough. I contracted to have the work done which was to start in November. This was a little ways out but I understand that work schedules may be booked. Well, within a week and a half Steve contacted me to say he had a crew who could start the next day. Great. The painting and scraping was very good, and I still haven't been able to find even one paint chip from the scraping. Paint job was excellent and the porch now looks excellent. The next person to show up was Shawn, well I hesitate to call him a carpenter, He's a craftsman, an artist. He removed the old back stairs which were poorly made by another person and replaced them with new stairs and handrails which completely matched my porch and looked like it had always been there, not easy for a house built in 1842. He then repaired the soffit on my garage, which had rotted in some places, replacing only the wood that had truly rotted. and it looks neat, tight and ready for years of service. My small back entry porch had been rotting and dripping on my head and driveway for years. Shawn removed the rotted plywood with fresh plywood and new shingles, rehung the gutter with the correct pitch so water would drain away from the entry/driveway. It all works well and looks nice and neat. He next replaced the two dilapidated doors on my sheds with new ones which he had to reframe to get a proper fit. They look good and work well. I'm very pleased with this contractor. They completed the work ahead of schedule, were neat and professional.Their work was quality.

First contacted Bennett early June 2013. Bryan arrived June 7 and gave me an estimate of the work. Contract arrived a week later and it was signed and returned along with the deposit for work being performed. No contact from Bryan so I called him July 17 and he emailed be with a start date of second week in August. Emailed Bryan again August 12 to see if we were still on schedule for my project. Bryan said probably the following week. He called August 16 and said Monday would be the start date. The old floor was removed and new one poured. Aug 22 the cabinets were put back in after the floor dried. When I asked about the window I was told it hadn't come in yet. Sept 16 the window was replaced. I was told the concrete truck had to empty/clean the "shoot" (not sure what its called) on the vehicle, so I tarp was placed on the side of my lawn for that purpose. A lot of small concrete pieces were left in my lawn and driveway, some of which I could clean up, some of which I couldn't. (I thought a better job could have been done with this.) Overall I think a good job was done. Love the new window and floor. Wasn't impressed with the clean up I had to perform after they left. Unsure whether I want to use this contractor again and but this site only has yes or no, so I'm submitting no because of this.

Work went well everyday except when it rained.

The crews were impeccable prompt, professional, concerned to complete the job to the highest standards. Friendly and ready to explain everything.

Very impressed with quality and service. Crew was always very professional and handled everything. Even when something didn't go exactly as planned, they worked very hard to get these issues resolved and make sure we were 100% satisfied. Cost was right inline with estimate and they even handled some small changes we made on the fly with little or no additional time or cost. I would defiantly use them again.

Overall, they did a great job at what I contracted them to do. I had them install a new Shower Door in my bathroom. They were very good at communications when it came to scheduling and also fitting me in their schedule to complete the work. The worker they sent was clean and professional. I did not use them for the window repairs/replacement The owner/manager was very polite as well. As for rates, they charge from the time they leave their shop, actual work time was 2 hours travel time charged was 3/4 of an hour at $75.00 per hour

The man was very cold to me and acted as though he didn't really want my business. I asked for an estimate and have not heard from them since.

They did a complete gut job. They worked out a time schedule. They were always willing to work with me in terms of changes. I was very pleased with them. I picked out the kitchen cabinets and countertops in a timely fashion. They were very flexible and I worked with a great team that were assigned to my job. An electrician and a plumber and carpenter were assigned to my household. They gave suggestions and pictures. They were a one stop shop.

It went well. Contractor was proffessional and employed skilled carpenter. They were on time and finished on schedule.They had to do some modifications for us with out too much trouble.

Bennett did an excellent job. All the personnel were punctual,courteous and professional. Very satisfied with work and results.
