Description of Work: I did the $49 service call and then got charged another $99. Just shocked. They were really good and all but I won't be getting any coupons in the future off of Angie's list.

Description of Work: I purchased a sump pump with installation for $389 from Angie's List. I thought the price was high, but I wanted it installed quickly because I was going away. I set up a mutually convenient appointment with Farrell Brothers. The plumber called a few minutes before he was supposed to arrive and said he would be there in 15 minutes. When he arrived he looked at the sump and the old sump pump, and discovered the PCV pipe that carried the water outside the house was broken. I asked if there would be an additional charge to replace the pipe. The plumber said there would be a charge, but he didn't say how much. I had to leave for a dentist appointment and my wife was there for the remainder of the installation. When the installation was complete, the plumber gave my wife a bill for $299, which my wife paid. That's $299 to install 6 feet of PVC pipe, a PVC elbow, and rubber connectors and clamps. I thought that was too high for the amount of work and parts. I called the owner the next day, but he did not return my call. I called the owner again after I was away for a week. This time he returned my call, and lowered the price from $299 to $199, which I think is still too high. For someone who doesn't mind spending too much, Farrell Brothers is a good service. But for someone watching their wallet, you may want to look elsewhere.

Description of Work: fixed flap in toilet...even with the angie discount it was $103.00...a little pricey..so total was $152.00 to adjust the flap in the toilet tank

Description of Work: Replaced the ignition controller panel on boiler. |They came out in the middle of the night when the heat wouldn't come on. They had the right part in the truck and they had it up and running in an hour or so.

Description of Work: I contacted them for a plumbing estimate. They were extremely knowledgable and helpful. I am waiting until the summer to get the work done.
