Description of Work: I bought the $99 deal to have my hot water heater flushed and the long list of items listed on the deal carried out. Perhaps I am naive, but to me "flushed" entails more than removing one bucket of water from the heater. And the list that was outlined on Angie's list looked like a lot more than what the representative offered to do, which was look at two faucets running and agree that the pressure was low. On the plus side, he seemed very knowledgeable and answered a number of questions that I had about my water heater and some other plumbing questions. I did end up getting a new hot water heater, but from somebody else. This company may be fine, but I think that if offering this deal is a means of getting new customers, it back-fired in my case. I felt a little taken.

Description of Work: They did a great job of cleaning out the drain told me how to do preventative work in the future. | | This was a good deal. I did have them come back at a later date and I thought their fees for the proposed work were little bit high. That was for some pump reinstallation. Also they did not have the equipment needed to replace the sump pump and would've had to schedule another time and service call after the repair call. I was not so impressed by that

Description of Work: I had a drippy outside faucet and the Farrell plumber fixed it in a wink. Then he fixed a kitchen faucet the had come loose and was wobbly...an issue caused by an error in the placement of the faucet by another plumber and granite installer. He used a special tool that worked really well. I'm very pleased and would recommend Ferrell plumbing to everyone.

Description of Work: I bought the $199 for $400 worth of plumbing services package, intending to have 2 toilets installed. Knowing what I paid in the past in other towns, and what the big box stores charge per toilet, I felt that $400 would more than cover what I needed done. The guys showed up when promised, but they were not plumbers, they were HVAC techs. Both toilets were installed, the guys gave me a bill for $278 (after the $400 credit was applied). I was astounded but paid the guy because it wasn't his fault. I then called Farrell Brothers and asked to speak with a manager, and gave the receptionist a message for him. Next thing I know, the guys are back to return my check. The upstairs toilet started leaking water almost as soon as they left. The tanks on both toilets were so loose, they would move if touched. I called Farrell Brothers again and had to cancel evening plans to wait for a plumber to show up to fix it. He was very professional, spent some time fixing the upstairs toilet, then tightened up the downstairs toilet. He wasn't gone an hour before there was water on the floor again. I turned the water off and went to bed, then called them again the following morning. They sent the plumber back, scheduled for "first thing" the next morning, first thing to them means around 10. Third time was the charm and finally, no more leaks. I just moved to the area and was looking for a plumber to have on my list of pros to call if needed. I thought the Angie's List big deal was a great way to make contact with one. If Farrell Brothers was looking for new customers, they won't be getting one in me. Between the over charge that went away when I questioned it, sending guys who weren't plumbers to do plumbing work, and the time I spent waiting for the fix to be made, it just isn't worth being a customer of theirs.

Description of Work: replaced 2 shower valves complete and fixed a leaking value on the hot water heater - They arrived on time and provided a professional job. The initial bill was not correct so we notified the office and they corrected the bill to the right amount. Anyone can have a problem but I believe it's how the company responds to an issue that is important, and we were very pleased with the response of Farrell Bros Inc. Now using for all our plumbing and heating needs.

Description of Work: Came out and inspected my furnace. I was having a problem with it shutting down in mid cycle. Brian found that my chimney ceramic tiles had collapsed. The chimney was totally blocked and the furnace was shutting down due excessive heat. I was quoted a price to install a stainless steel sleeve at that time. I called them later that day and made an appointment for the following week. They showed up the morning of the appointment installed the new sleeve, and cleaned up after themselves quite nicely.

Description of Work: Leak in valve under kitchen sink brought down ceiling in basement. Water damage to cedar closet. Came right over in the evening (after hours) and shut off the water, checked damage. Gave a reasonable estimate to fix everything. Set up fans to dry out damaged areas and removed damaged ceiling tiles. Gave plenty of time for the water to be dried up before arranging to finish. Did excellent job removing the damage and repairing the cedar closet and the damaged ceiling tiles. Very clean and very well done!

Description of Work: I called, the owner came out once and told me he'd get back to me with a plan of attack and a more accurate estimate. He never called me back, and did not return two calls to his office.

Description of Work: We had an energy star rated water heater installed. While doing the work Nick identified one additional problem and took care of it quickly, fairly and with no hassles! I'd very much recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right the first time!

Description of Work: VERY COMPETENT AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. ERIC AT HOUSE ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS - BOTH TIMES EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH HIS WORK AND HIS SUGGESTIONS. LOST MY OLD PLUMBER (OUT OF BUSINESS) THAT i LIKED VERY MUCH BUT FEEL FARRELL BROS IS JUST AS GOOD.

Description of Work: I had several phone calls to set up appointments with this company. |They advertised they work in my area. |At the last minute I was informed they only work to 4:30 in my area. |That is not good for working people or honest advertising.

Description of Work: replaced an outside faucet...did well... We were pleased with their work and responsiveness.
