Description of Work: Charged me 100.00 just to show up and then did not have the right part to do the job said he would come back but he would have to see whether or not I would be charged the 100 again. Just to unclog a drain and replace a fault yup and down spout in my shower.

+ 0 moreAnother service provider (not a plumber) told me it appeared one of my pipes was leaking. He thought all the pipes might be damaged due to rusting. After researching Angie's List, I called Farrell Brothers and I am so glad I did! Brian arrived right on time, examined the plumbing, and assured me everything was fine. He was very nice and courteous and explained that while there was some rusting, it was minimal. I am a widow and know nothing about plumbing. Farrell Bros could have told me all or some of the pipes had to be replaced. Instead, the company chose to be honest and walk away with a $49 payment. Farrell Brothers is now my forever plumbing company and I will recommend them to everyone I know.

I had attempted to replace thermostat but still couldn't get furnace to come up. Tech arrived when expected. He was very nice. Explained why furnace/thermostat wasn't working and fixed quickly. I am happy. I'm not 100% sure that I remember the price correctly. I located Farrell Bros. from an Angie's list Deal.

+ -1 moreI had called the plumbing to fix an issue of a water leak on my first floor bath ceiling. I had done some initial work and spotted that the second floor bathroom screw was leaking water and that the gasket/washer was ok. The plumbing effort involved ratifying my find and identified the issue as the screw being lose. This is fine, but what shocked me was the amount of $158 (99 is just to come home and the rest is the service fee) that I had to pay for a 5 minute job. It literally was 5 mins and settling the payment took more time than the issue itself. I also found that the provider was not very forthcoming in the answers to follow up if the issue resurfaces.
Description of Work: Tighten the bolt.

+ 0 moreThe woman who answered the phone was terrific. She put us at the top of the list. Eric Lawrence was very professional and knows his stuff. The job was completed in 1 1/2 hours (including leaving to get the new end caps) Great service. I will use them again!
Description of Work: I called at 7:00 AM because our sinks and toilets were backed up. Eric Lawrence arrived at 9:00 AM and cleaned the main trap and replaced the end caps.

The technician who came to the house was very experienced and found the source of the problem. He was able to fix it fairly simply. I would hire them again.

+ 0 moreAs I said, he replace a defective part, and thoroughly checked the operation of the unit. Brian was prompt, courteous, and left everything in apple pie order. They are a bit pricey, but you get your moneys worth.

+ 0 moreAngie's list is a very big let down. This was the first time I have used them and I will never do it again. The customer service was non-existent and they basically just stole my money. I will fight to get it back but do not have much faith. Do not use Angie's List, they are thieves!
Description of Work: Unfortunately when the technician showed up he was unable to do the install because of the way my heating system had been installed. They offered options to fix the situation and explained them in great detail however the cost was too much so I passed. They were very professional and I would absolutely use them again in the future. I wish I could say the same for Angie's list. They would not refund my money and now I paid $400 for nothing. Very disappointing. The customer service was terrible and as soon as I find something to try and replace the cost, I will cancel my membership and NEVER work with this company again.

Although not the lowest price for a seasonal heating system tune-up offered on Angie's List deals, I've used this provider before (another Angie's List deal for plumbing inspection), and knew them to be professional, thorough, and very much informative as to what was being done. There were no problems at this time - service was routine maintenance. Brien was personable and informative about what he had done. I would definitely use this provider again!

Based upon Angies list reviews, I contacted Farrell Brothers and representative(Randy) arrived within 2 hours after my call to assess the request and provide an estimate.Agreed to having work performed and based upon my concern regarding possible basement flooding he accelerated installation to the next day or Friday ,October 2nd.. Contractor(Tim and Bill) arrived on schedule and completed work soon after noon. Pleased with the installation and their successful efforts to clean up the work .areas.Also impressed with the responsiveness of the provider's employees.
Description of Work: installed 2 sump pumps and redirected discharge beyond house perimeter.

Description of Work: Checked heating system and suggested to change a zone damper t which was giving the problem with the control of the thermostat .it was costly more than $340 with tax . And charged service charge. 3eThe problem was almost solved but still the thermostats were not showing the right temperature,and lower level of the house gets very cold when we start air conditioning. so we called him. He came back and said everything is OK. Only problem is the construction of the house. 20 yrs old multilevel home .so it will be difficult to control the temp at every level.He charged $105 the next visit . We thought that was little high but over all we like their services. They know what they are doing. That's all that counts . We also did not have your coupon for thi visit
