Description of Work: We had two different plumbers on two different dates because the first guy would not do all the work we had requested. The second guy, Eric, did A work! Hire him any time, just make sure you request Eric. Really nice guy, very professional. Unfortunately, that was not our first experience. Using a coupon found on Angie's List for a water heater flush and faucet inspection throughout the house, we also asked if we could get some other work done. When the plumber showed up he flushed the water heater fine but barely glanced at the faucets and refused to do the extra work we'd requested because it wasn't part of the coupon. We knew we would have to pay beyond the coupon since this was indeed extra work but he wouldn't do it. Not wanting to pay another company $100 just to walk through the door, I called Farrell brothers again, and nicely asked for a different plumber and they very nicely obliged. There was some miscommunication about the arrival time which was frustrating but the minute Eric walked in he took care of everything. On top of it all, he gave us very good plumbing advice for the future. So A for Eric, D- or F for the first guy.

Description of Work: They replaced a burnt out thermocoupler and got my boiler back in functioning order. The work was done quickly and efficiently and I can recommend them unreservedly.

Description of Work: Was told I needed to purchase an Angie's list $50 special deal just to get them out their to give a "free estimate." Even though I know exactly what I needed done and told them the scope of service, I had to buy the $50 service call. Guy shows up, I tell him what I need, he quotes me a price (200) and I have him do the work. All seems well except TXV valve isn't installed properly and I have to have some of the work re-done. Neither Angie's list nor Farrell brothers wanted to address the issue after multiple communications with both. I am no longer an Angie's list member nor will I ever use Farrell Brothers.

Description of Work: They installed a new sump pump in my basement. It was pricey, but it is still working properly, the serviceman was quite knowledgeable and I trusted his opinion.

Description of Work: Called because there was no heat in half of house. Company came and bled the radiators and fixed a part in the basement thinking that was the cause of the problem. A couple of hours later, my pipes burst and they had to return and repair the pipes and bleed the lines again.

Description of Work: The technician repaired my furnace but left a gas line leaking a bit.The whole house,even the upstairs,was filled with the smell of gas.I called the next morning to see if this was normal,and the technician returned in under an hour to check it out.He found the leak and repaired it,but I wouldn't use this company again.

Description of Work: He looked at our boiler and he diagnosed a problem with it. We asked him for a recommendation for replacing the whole system, but never heard back.

Description of Work: Replaced a defective sink pump quickly and efficiently.Re-routed condensation runoff from furnace into another conduit. It did take several days before they located the new pump to install.
