When I called they said they were busy that day and would try to fit me in between 12 and 4 but that it might be the next day. The technician arrived before 12 noon for which I was really grateful! He was timely and professional and knew what he was doing. He even gave me recommendations to try and prevent another occurance in the future.

It went fine. He called me 5-10 minutes before he was due to arrive. He let me know what he was doing each step of the way. He had to return to the shop to pick up some parts and apologized for that but was back fairly quickly.

Turned out to be a bad capacitor. Kudos to the tech for NOT putting in a new fan motor....which he could have and it would have cost much more. What I didn't appreciate was that I paid on Angie's List in advance for the service call but still got hit with a hefty bill and was told "I saved $100" which I did not. In fact, I do think it was overcharged a bit. I reminded him I already paid for the service call. I assume the fees were for the capacitor. No idea really.

In both cases they came quickly and addressed the problem very professionally. Explained options and considerations with the job. Each of the techs were very knowledgeable and thorough and polite. One service was on a holiday weekend at night. The member coupon was honored both times which was a nice bonus.

Quick, completed in 2 hours, old tank removed.

Peter came out. He seemed to know what he was doing, he was timely. He offered advice to save money in the future, he did not try to sell me anything.

Farrell Brothers sent one of their most experienced plumbers (they told me) and all he did was a partial install. He said he did not activate the softener because I needed to find out from the builder where the main drain was. I got no help from the builder or his plumber who originally built my home. After unsuccessfully contacting another softening company who installed softeners in homes like mine, I finally got my answer from my neighbor who lives beneath me. She showed me the drain which runs down our shared wall. I contacted Farrell brothers. The receptionist said she would have her plumber, who did my original install, call me. He never contacted me. All I received was their bill and a strong request that I needed to pay them, which I did. Haven't heard from them since they received payment.

The two gentleman were very communicative and made sure we understood what they were doing and why. We used this vendor the first time because of Angie's list now we call for all of our plumbing needs

Water heater work went fine, as did additional work, although I am always stunned by cost of plumbing repairs. If all you want is your water heater services and drained, this offer is great, but the 'come on' price won't apply to any additional work.

Farrell Brothers Inc were good. They came on time, they were courteous, reliable, honest and hard workers.Their price was fair and reasonable.

We contacted Farrell Bros because of a frozen pipe in our outside bathroom which was also part of a pending homeowners claim. Therefore we told our insurance company that we would get an estimate before the insurance appraiser arrived which was scheduled for later that week. We called Farrell Bros and explained the reason for the requested service call and after getting a scheduled service date for mid week, the company assured us that someone would arrive within a stated 3-4 hr window. They were very professional and attentive during the initial call. However no one arrived within the window or called to inform us about the delay. We only found out that a service rep might not be able to make it at all when we called the office after the window expired. Although Farrell Bros was apologetic, they didn't have a service rep available for the following day. Since our insurance appraiser was coming 2 days later, we had to contact another local plumbing company who showed up on time as scheduled. Emergencies and other unanticipated things happen, however it was dissapointing that a larghe, reputable company didn't have a quality control-customer service process in place to inform a customer about an unanticipated delay.

Noticed my water heater was leaking this morning and then found out that I had no hot water. Contacted another repairman recommended by Angie's List, but he wasn't able to come today. Contacted Farrell Brothers at 9:15 this morning, they were at my house by 10:30. Indicated I did need to replace the unit. I gave the go ahead, and by 12:45 I had a shiny new hot water heater installed. Cost was $924 - $55 coupon from Angie's list = $869. Very satisfied.

Very good. Main pump failed, but back up previously installed by and at recommendation of Farrell Bros. continued to operate preventing flooding. After diagnosing problem, the main outflow line was checked for blockage (it was not) and a new main pump was installed.

I found their service very good. They came and fix the pump so it would work for awhile but he said it would eventually give out and then he gave me a price to replace it with, so I told them I didn't have the money at the moment but I would in the future. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, showed up early, called me and asked if he could come early and I was very happy about that because I was home reading. I just find him very pleasant and very helpful. I find the quality very good. I would definitely call them back.

Please be careful with this ad. When I called Farrell Bros I described the service I needed and asked if their Angie's List price of $129 was applicable for this service. I was told no, that the $129 price applied only to the cleaning of a single drain line, such as the kitchen sink. I called to confirm the price because I thought that $129 was a great price; Farrell's had cleaned out my neighbor's main drain line about 5 years ago and charged $275 then. What bothers me is that the wording of the Angie's List ad is vague, and can be construed as applying to a main drain cleanout. Worse, had we purchased this deal online, we would've been stuck with a higher bill than expected when the service tech came to the house--and I would've felt misled and even cheated by the ad.

My daughter was getting ready to move into a condo she had just purchased when she realized the sinks were not draining properly. I went on Angies List and purchased a drain cleaning service from the Farrell Bros through Angies List because of their great scores. After scheduling the service, two gentlemen showed up at 3:30 Friday afternoon and spent two hours trying to clear the drain. They explained that they did not actually work for the Farrell Bros but were sub contracted at times when the Farrell Bros were busy. They also explained that their equipment was not working properly as it had just been repaired, apparently not correctly. After two hours they claimed they had taken care of the problem and left quickly. On Sunday afternoon my daughter moved into the condo and immediately discovered that the same drains were still not draining properly. On Monday morning I called the Farrell Bros back and they said they'd send someone out on Tuesday. On Tuesday a gentlemen from Farrell Bros arrived and cleared the drain in less than 10 minutes showing me a grease buildup that had caused the problem. He then explained that this call was going to cost $190. I told him that was not fair based on what happened. He called the office and spoke to the manager and/or owner who extended the discounted Angies List price of $130, which I then reluctantly paid. The documentation claims there is a warranty for workmanship, and it does not exclude drain cleaning. Obviously the drain problem was never corrected the first time as no one was living there to use the drains, and the drain problem was discovered again two days later. I'm trying to understand how this company has such a great score on Angies List. My daughter now is shopping for a new heating system and guess who she is NOT calling?

On a Monday night my husband noticed our >15 year old water heater leaking at the bottom. That night I put in a request for service on the Farrell Brothers website. The next morning I received a call from there service scheduler. After a few questions we determined that since I was at work and didn't know what size our water heater was, I would meet Joe, their service manager, at our home at 12:30pm. He was there promptly and we found our water heater to be 50 gallons, not the usual 40 gallon. He put in a call to Eric who would do the installation. At around 2pm Eric arrived with all the appropriate pieces and by 5PM we had a new water heater replaced. This is the second service we have had Farrell Bros perform. In December they worked on our furnace. I will use them again.

I joined Angie's List to get a reliable plumber and used a coupon with Farrell Brothers. He repaired the disposal and the kitchen faucet with efficiency, and no attempt to sell up. They have continued to work well since then.

He was very expensive and wanted double what another plumber wanted.

Went well. When the company gave me the estimate, they only included the dishwasher installation cost, but the service tech quickly explained & said he would still do the work, he just needed to get some supplies. He added on some money for the extra work, but gave me a deal. He was quick & clean & it works great.

I had a very simple job of putting in a new faucet in my garage. I called Farrell Bros. and they sent someone out to give me an estimate. He also showed me where the water entered the house, which,since I just moved here, I did not know. When the estimate was a little more than I wanted to pay, he said he would reduce it down if I could wait until they had a tech in the area doing another job. I look forward to having the work done .

I feel as if I was misled about the services this company provides. I will not use them again. I don't recall the appointment date, so I entered 07/04/12.

JAKE was on time and on task. Worked quickly and professionally. Would recommend.

The gentleman was kind and very thorough. He tried to take the least expensive way to solve the problem. I would definitely use them again.

Work was done in a professional manner however the plumber did not understand the Angie?s ?deal? and billed at the normal rate. The office adjusted the bill after the fact so it worked out in the end.
