Was the only contractor to get back to us immediately to look at our roof and probably wouldn't of used anyone else anyways because of the great experience we had.. Ed explained what he thought the problems were and that there might be some other problems that he wouldn't know until he got things tore apart. Two days later we had a very reasonable estimate. Came back a week later to do job, texted pictures of the damage, which was very extensive, and we came to a reasonable agreement on the extra cost to get roof back in proper condition. Ed was very forthcoming and honest and explained everything that had done and what the previous contractor didn't do that led to the problems. Also offered some suggestions for someone to do our inside repairs as well as some insulating that we should do to prevent heat loss. Also said if there we any questions to give him a call. Great person to work with and will be using him again.
Description of Work: Replaced roofing on addition where there was extensive water damage from winter snow and ice and poor workmanship from previous contractor who built addition. Tore up shingles replaced old plywood sheathing and I stalled metal roofing.

The crew including Ed the owner showed up at 7 am as agreed to begin the project. The crew set up ladders, ladder jacks etc... for safe work conditions. Tarps were laid where debris was landing around home and a trailer was pulled in for debris. The crew worked together to clean off the old roof material. One guy was in charge of clean up on the ground once all the material was off the roof. One half of the crew began installing new roofing materials and shingling began on the front of the home where the dormers are located. The other half of the crew worked on the garage roof. The garage roof had some degraded plywood In need of replacement and the non-continuous eave had to be repaired to help smooth the hump in the roof. This set them a bit behind schedule yet was a repair that needed to be done. After talking about how to repair the hump as we now could see the cause, an agreement was made. They had to remove the entire 20' length 4x8 sheets of 1/2" plywood roof base on top of the base 1? roof boards to repair the hump as well as the facia. This repair was completed, plywood reinstalled, bad wood replaced and eave and facia rebuilt with new lumber. Two guys began installing new material on the backside of the garage roof while two guys worked to repair the front of the garage roof with the hump. The crew worked till just before dark. The crew returned the next day around 7 am to finish as much of the roof as possible. Again the owner Ed was on site to work with the crew to ensure work was done to his expectations. With the front of the garage roof repaired, new materials were laid down and shingles installed. Again just before dark the crew picked up all their equipment stored it away in their trailer and picked up any construction debris around the house. The crew took Sunday off as they should to be with family and came back Monday at 7 am to find slippery frost on the roof. The owner Ed consulted with home owner and agreed to come back in a couple of hours to give the roof time to warm and dry. Crew showed up, roof was finished in the late afternoon. All visible debris was picked up and all signs of construction disappeared. Ed the construction company owner looked the roof all over to ensure it met his expectations. One spot did not meet his expectations. The next morning he sent one of his crew to fix a spot that would not have leaked yet wasn't up to his/ Ed?s standard. Roof complete! Of course there was rain the next day and high winds yet no leaks! Happy homeowners!
Description of Work: Ed promptly returned our phone call for estimate of re-roofing. Visited to preform estimate, examined roof, measured and took notes. Estimate was quickly delivered to home owner. Ed the owner took time to talk with us about products, fixes for current roof issues and answered every question Contract was signed and work begun soon after. Local lumber yard was used and material were delivered day before construction began. Removed old t-lock shingles down to wood decking. Removed degraded plywood areas where roof had begun to leak and replaced with new plywood. Rebuilt roof eave to repair hump in garage roof created by previous roofer. Built a water break behind chimney as there was none from previous roof job. Properly flashed all necessary areas, Installed new drip edge. Installed water and ice 3' up for roof edges and in valleys and synthetic felt paper on remainder of roof. Installed shingles on entire roof to include 3 dormers on home and attached garage. Clean up and removal of all construction debris. Also installed an exterior door.
