Description of Work: It's been months since we had our dryer serviced, but I had to go on Angie's List and give this company a wonderful review. | |Our dryer had broken over the weekend and I figured it would be days before we could get anyone here to fix it. I went on Angie's List and liked the reviews of Sierra Nevada Appliance Co. | |I called the number and I believe I spoke with the owner of the company. I explained our situation to him and I was thrilled when he said he could fit me in that very afternoon! He was not only very professional and knowledgeable about our dryer, but he took the time to explain what he was doing and was even able to fix a future problem. While he was working on our dryer, he noticed how much lint we had in our vents and recommended we have our dryer vent cleaned as our dryer wouldn't have lasted much longer, or worse, could have caused a fire! | |We took his advice and had our vents cleaned...it's like we have a new dryer! I will always be happy to recommend Sierra Nevada Appliance Co to anyone needing any one of their numerous services.

+ -1 moreWe needed to have our washing machine checked because of a flooding issue in our laundry room. We we're sure what was wrong, so we called Sierra Nevada Appliance to come diagnose the problem and fix it. Of all the companies we called, they were the only one that would come out the same day. The technician arrived on-time and was professional. He took apart the washing machine to make sure it wasn't broken. He couldn't find anything wrong with the machine, but when he checked the drain in the wall, it turned out it had been so cold that the water in the pipe trap had frozen and was preventing proper drainage. So it turned out the flooding was from the blocked drain overflowing and not from a broken washing machine. They charged $100 for the visit, which I found just a bit steep since they didn't have to fix anything. Overall it was a good experience and I would use them again. However I wish it had been a bit cheaper since the technician was only there for an hour, and didn't have to do much.

+ -1 moreEverything went very smoothly. Technician was on time, thorough and knowledgeable. Part was a rather obscure one, so took a bit of time for it to be received by the company. Replacement of part went smoothly as well.

+ -1 moreNeeded to have our top-loading washer looked at for overflow issues. This was the only company that could come all the way out to Cold Springs on the same day. The technician arrived on-time and was professional. Was very thorough in investigating the problem. Turned out the only problem was the standing water in the drain pipe trap for the washer had frozen solid, so when the washer went to drain it all flooded out the drain hose in the wall.
Description of Work: Evaluate washer and hookups for leaks.
