After getting fed up with gathering arm loads of wood shake remnants from our yard after every wind storm, we decided it was time to bite the bullet and get some estimates for a new roof. More than one company (including Sparks Roofing) came out and went over what was necessary for our job, left samples for us to choose from, etc. After listening to what we had in mind, Stan suggested an appropriate shingle for our job without ever trying to upsale us. He actually recommended that we not use the more expensive option, based on the shape of the roof and style of our home. We felt no pressure to hire Sparks Roofing; a comment I cannot say about another prominent company who also gave us a bid. Stan's quote was well below the others; we even compared each bid carefully to make sure he hadn't left something out! Needless to say, we awarded Sparks Roofing the job.. Stan's crew showed up when expected and was very professional at all times. They were very careful to clean up every bit of the mess, even to using a huge magnet to make sure that no nails were left behind in my flowerbeds. They also made sure our rain gutters were clear of any and all debris. They did a fabulous job; we couldn't even find one thing to complain about, with the exception of our dog barking for days on end at all the banging on the roof!! Finally, we no longer have to worry if our roof will survive another horrible wind storm. Thank you, Sparks Roofing, for a job well done.

I contacted the company based on reports I found on Angie's list. Stan came out and looked at the job and gave me an estimate and explained all about the materials he would use and put everything in writing. I had a good feeling about the process as he was very patient explaining to me and was not at all high pressure. After a few days and two other estimates, I gave the job to Sparks Roofing and he gave me a date when he could do the job, which he completed on time and as agreed. I feel I made a very wise choice in Sparks Roofing.

I chose them because they gave me the best deal and did more work than the other company quoted. For the same price quoted by the other company; they include work on the flashing of my roof plus tile replacement.They were efficient, nice, and seem to have done a good job. Eventually I will have to replace my roof and I will probably use Sparks Roofing, LLC for the job.Teresa

They did a good job, at a fair price, excellent quality. They were all around great and I will refer friends and family in the future. They put in two skylights and a ridge vent as well

Everything was very courteous, prompt, professional. They were very reasonable in cost and cleaned up well afterwards, hauling away extra junk we wanted to get rid of. Recommended them highly to a co-worker who also used them and was extremely pleased.

I spent about $300 on that service. They had to come back a couple of times, but eventually they took care of it. The people I dealt with from that company were good and they were helpful and wanted to get it taken care of.

It was just fantastic. They did a beautiful job, were always on time, and answered all of our questions. The workmen were quick, clean, and the owner was quick to respond to my calls. He always listened to what we had to say, and his recommendations were never pushy. I wouldn't go with any other roofing company.

Roof was leaking in our Foyer, Called Sparks Roofing, and they came out the next day to give an estimate... Jed came out and was very polite and showed me the problems on our roof. A couple cracked tiles was causing water to seep inside the roofing paper. Quoted me $400 to fix - very resonable. They came out the next week and fixed it all up within a day. So far so good, but we havn't received a decent rain yet to confirm it doesn't leak anymore. So time will tell, but a great experience overall with Sparks Roofing - would recomend...

Replaced leaking roof in 1 day as stated. I had been told on signing of the contract on 10/11/2010, that it would probably be 4-5 weeks before they could get to me.Even their with busy schedule, they got me in on 10/22/2010 before inclement weather that was forecast for the weekend arrived. Stan Schwartz gave estimate, and checked work when it was finished. Courteous, professional crew and service.

From the initial phone call, a quick visit presented a written estimate and the estimate was acceptable as well as the scope of work to be performed was what I needed to fix an ongoing leak problem. They scheduled the work within a couple days of approval, and the job went exceptionally well, no issues---- until the first time we had a lot of snow then the leaks began again. I contacted the contractor who told me what I had to do, which was get on my roof and remove the ice that it was building up in the area where they repaired. They did not offer any type of guarantee of the work because it was a "repair" to a roofing job they didn't initially install. The leak problem continued throughout the winter as long as there was snow on the roof.

Called Sparks Roofing for a quote after searching Angie's List. Stan responded promptly, and was very professional and upfront about charges and the work that needed to be performed. Unfortunately, I did not get an additional appraisal, but took advice off Angie's List that there company was quoting better offers. The job was expensive, to which I can't compare with other company's or make a comment. I was more concerned with quality, service, workmanship and reputation. Which Sparks Roofing delivered. Once I figured out financing, I called Stan for the job to begin. They showed up on Mon Sept 23rd and finished on Thur 26th. The workers were professional, the removal, installation and clean up was great, and they did a great job overall. I am well pleased with their quality, and I can rest easy now with the winter weather coming on. Oh yea, and now everybody walking by the home are looking our way.

The price was very fair we thought. The gentleman that came out was very knowledgeable. The roof is beautiful. The entire staff were great to work with.

Stan and his guys produced a quality product from the looks of things and I guess time will truly tell. I received 3 estimates from a variety of jobbers. Stan's was the highest and he did negotiate with me. While I am on a limited budget, his professonalism, knowledge of his trade/product and enthusiasm convinced me to go with Sparks Roofing. The job was completed to my satisfaction and in the time he promised (even with the wind and snow of northern Nevada Spring weather!!) His crew was courteous, competent and diligent. One of the days the guys were here, it was extremely blustery (I think it was one of those Nevada's April Fool's Day tricks that we so often get to experience here). When I departed the house for the office, I noticed that Stan was up on the roof with his crew battening down the hatches, so to speak, as the cornsnow was beginning to fly. The next day it wasn't much better, so I thought they'd probably not start as early or continue when the weather cleared. And while it wasn't really snowing, the guys tethered up and braved the wind from jump street. I was very impressed. On the second day of roofing, I received a call at my office from Stan saying he needed to turn off the electricity so they could roof around the swamp cooler. Luckily my housekeeper was here and let him in the house. He needed to climb into the attic to see where it was connected. Well, lo' and behold...he found that water had collected in the ducting and was near the electrical wiring. He disconnected the wiring, emptied the water into a bucket, checked for leaks into the insulation (none there!!) and referred me to an electrician. Then upon completion of the project, Stan told me he had broken a hinge on the double gate. He said he'd fix it when he came back to check on the inspector's signature. Come to find out, not only did he fix the gate, he even had to buy new bolts, etc .because the lower gate board had begun to rot and the old ones were broken. So it probably wasn't even his fault that it broke and would've eventually any way. He took the responsibility and was accountable anyway!! What a guy! So as you can see, Sparks Roofing was everything Stan said it was. I enjoyed employing a local Sparks company with a local, efficient crew and will recommend them highly when someone asks. And as we all know, this is a 'word of mouth' community and people already have!!!! Thanks guys!!!!

Stan showed up as scheduled to make an estimate. It was 40% lower than another estimate we had received. We scheduled the repair for the next day. It was done in an hour or two more time than he had estimated, but he did not charge any additional fee. It was done in a professional manner for the estimated price.

Owner Stan Swartz of Sparks Roofing was great to work with. From bidding to clean up, Stan and his crew were professional all the way. They did a great job of addressing some unforseen issues and completed the job in a timely manner without affecting my business during business hours. Stans bid was very competitive and I was more then satisfied with the job done. I would and have recommended Stan to friends, family and neighbors.

We started calling for estimates around 8/10. We had one contracter not show up at all, or even call after setting up an appointed time. One contractor showed up and was very professional but quoted our roof for 8900.00. Another showed up at the appointed time, but was not as professional, and didn't give a professional looking quote and still at a higher price than we wanted to pay. Stan showed up at the set time, answered all questions and made suggestions. He gave us his written quote the next day. After we let him know we were going with Sparks Roofing, everything from getting the building permit to completion of the job went just as he said it would. They left our driveway and yards clean and free of dust and debries. The County inspector (set up by Stan) showed up the next day and approved the work. Stan came on the 11th to pick up the check and thanked us for our business and the referrals we had given to others for Sparks Roofing.
