Description of Work: Every person at Scott Roofing that I talked to or who worked on this job was prompt, polite, professional and personable. I could not have asked for a better crew. It was not a straightforward job on a typical roof so they were put through their paces. Ken Dixon explained why he recommended the process he did, and Manuel and his crew always had time to answer my questions. Every person I met was a pleasure to be around. They came and went on time, worked hard, and left without a trace! I could not have asked for more, and recommend them highly. I will say that they were not the low bid, but you get what you pay for and I would absolutely hire them again.

It all went smoothly.
Description of Work: Scott Roofing removed multiple layers of shingles and composition roofing and replaced it with triple-laminate roofing. To get the full manufacturer's warranty they added 3 additional roof vents. At no charge they fixed a gap between my greenhouse and roof. All vents were painted to match the color of the roofing. They protected plants under the eaves with tarps. All waste was hauled away.

A very very BAD experience
Description of Work: Bought the house from the previous owner who spent $30,000 on a new 30 year roof. Called Scott Roofing company many times there-after to fix leaks in roof, which were never fixed properly. Calledfor the 4th time on 2/24/2010, had major leaks Again. Was told to go _____ myself, WOW. These people are the cream of the crop. Do yourself a favor, use someone else. They want your money and don't care if they do the job right.

was not aware of any reports on this website until May 26, 2011. If we had known sooner, we would have responded right away. Our reputation is very valuable to us and we safeguard it carefully. First of all, we installed an Elk brand 30 year shingle roof for the former homeowner in March of 2003. The complaining party did not, and never has paid our company one cent. The roof was installed for $11,828.00. Sometime in 2009, the complaining party contacted us and said her roof leaked. We explained that our warranty was for three years, (now five years), and that she may be billed for any needed repair work. She demanded that we take care of any problems because it was a thirty year roof. We explained that the thirty years referred to the shingles and that the manufacturer carries that warranty in case the shingles are defective. All of this is very clearly explained to all people we contract with, but since the complaining party never contracted with us, she did not understand the difference between our warranty and the manufacturer's warranty. Even so, we did go out and inspect the roof. The roof was intact and did not leak. The house has open beam ceilings and the framing extends out the side of the house about 8 inches below the roof. We caulked the top of the beams, and this seemed to do some good. We explained that this was not part of the roof and that additional work may need to be done. We did not send her a bill, even though we did hundreds of dollars worth of work, in the hopes of creating good will. This was repeated two more times. The fourth time she called I personally spoke with her, since she demanded to talk to the owner. I explained that some sheet metal caps should be made to cover the beams and extend up under our edge metal on the roof. I told her that we would provide an estimate for the additional work. She became very angry and told me she was going to sue me, that she was going to have my license, that I was a liar, that she was going to do everything that she could. I told her that that was her right, but if she would like us to fix it, we would send her an estimate. She then yelled at me, cursed a few times, and hung up. I did not curse at her. I never heard from her again. I believe that since the complaining party did not complain to any organization that tries to resolve any conflicts, such as the Better Business Bureau, the Nevada State Contractors Board, or through the courts, that she realized that we had tried to treat her fairly. She chose to lash out with this very damaging and blatantly false report which attacked our reputation and, most likely negatively influenced potential customers. We have been is business locally since 1948, we are locally owned, we have worked on thousands of roofs with thousands of satisfied customers, we are an accredited business with Better Business Bureau, and we always strive to go the extra mile as this case points out.
