I had originally given Scott Roofing an A, based on showing up on time and seeming to get the $400 gutter cleaning and minor shake roof repair done well. That was until the rains came 2 days ago and we found out how lacking the work was. When the young men from Scotts were cleaning the gutters I asked if they wanted me to hand up a hose so they could flush the gutters and make sure they were clear. ?Not necessary, the rain will flush them.? Well, the rain didn?t flush anything as all the gutter elbows were packed with what was probably several years of debris. All the guys did was dip out the roof gutters, and not very well at that. After two irate phone calls to Scotts in the midst of a heavy rain 11/29 and a promise by their receptionist, that she would have someone call back, (no return phone call or message on the answering machine), we took matters into our own hands. So a 66 year old woman and a 70 year old man got to go up on a 24? ladder, in the rain, to do what two 20-something guys didn?t do on a nice warm sunny day three weeks earlier. Using a plumber?s snake we cleared all the elbows so the gutters, full to the brim, could empty. We also dug out more rotted vegetation and a bird?s nest from the roof gutters, which I?m sure the heavy winds from the day before didn?t put there. Based on our experience, I wonder if the roof repair was done as well as the gutters, time will tell. Instead of an F (which they may really deserve), I will give Scotts a D because the receptionist was nice and the original work was done on time.

These guys did an excellent job. I had five bids done, and they were the lowest. They were professional, on time, and left our yard cleaner than it was before!

They performed the work as and when promised. The finished roof looks good. I will have to wait for the wet weather to see how it holds. So far, I am very pleased with my experience with this company. I will update this review if I run into roof problems.

They charged me 10,000 less than what other company wanted to charge me and they did a better job too. They came to give an estimate and made me a price offer which they kept to. They gave me 5% discount on cash payment. They did a full job.

They have been out twice. They did a fine job with no problems. I liked how they were prompt and arrived when they said they would.

The crew arrived on the date specified, They started the day by 8am and did not stop until 6pm every day. The intire crew were very polite and very hard working. The job forman Manny was always there on the job and would answer any and all questions. They cleaned up every stick and nail from all the flower beds and left it better then it was. If they only mowed.

It is good but it hasn't rained yet. They came here when they said they would be here.

I called several companies to obtain quotes, but only Scott Roofing was available. They were actually recommended by Sparks Roofing (who was too busy to do the job). Francisco came by within a week or two for the quote (which they emailed and mailed to me). He was polite and seemed reasonable. Then 2 men came out to do the job soon after I signed and sent back the contract. The only issue I had was that they didn't call to make an appointment for either the quote or job and randomly showed up for both (fortunately, I was home both times so it didn't make a difference for me). They took away the dish for me (couldn't even get one of the local Dish Network guys to take down their own equipment for a fee!!). Overall, I was happy with the job.

Quotation and followup were professional and responsive. The crew worked efficiently and the quality of work was excellent. All questions were addressed courteously and comprehensively. The final result has survived a major winter in excellent order. It looks great. While it wasn't inexpensive, there were no surprises and I feel we received good value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Scott Roofing.

We bought a craftsman style house with wrapping eves which gives the house a unique look. I was a little concerned about going with the company that was the least expensive because I wanted the roof to be perfect and worried about the experience of the "lowest bidder". We decided to go with Scott - they had the lowest bid and the most knowledgeable person to give us information about shingles, reinforcing tresses and our roof style. I was not disappointed! Scott roofing was quick to put the new roof on, worked really hard to do quality work on the eves and still keep the style and look of the roof appropriate for the house. The crew worked hard from the time they arrived until the moment they left and were so respectful. They checked in with me often, making sure the little decisions they were making were acceptable. The curved eves proved to be a bit of a challenge and slowed them down a bit but I appreciated that they took their time to be careful to make the eves look great. The eves required hand nailing the shingles which they painted to match the shingles when they were done so the nails did not stand out. There were 100's of nails and they painted every one. I think this attention to detail is hard to find these days so I was impressed by Scott Roofing. In addition, they cleaned up after themselves each day and left the sidewalks and patio cleaner than when they arrived. I would highly, highly recommend this company to any of my friends or family - no hesitation!
