We live on a ridge between two ravines and get a lot of wind. I see shingles in the yard after almost every wind storm. We asked for an estimate to replace the entire roof (about 10 years old). As we have a very steep roof with lots of valleys, we knew this wouldn't be inexpensive. The estimator said that we had an excellent roof, highest grade materials, but a few installation errors. He could have up-sold us ($30,000), but he showed us how we could get a few more years and what to watch for. (We are retired, and will probably plink off before the roof needs replacing.) The workmen came, were cheery, worked quickly, explained everything they were doing, cleaned up, including scouting around for any nails. (It's something I always do for myself after workmen leave; including the street where they parked their trucks. I hate flat tires, don't you?)

Refused to give a written statement as to the condition of the roof. Would only provide a cost estimate of repair. Told differing stories about the situation to myself and the realtor.

Great service from beginning to end. Response was always fast. My questions were answered. Staff was polite and respectful of my property. After clean up not one nail could be found. Product quality was excellent.

About four days later I received a call from Francisco, who told me that they could not fix my roof because their supplier didn't stock my roofing tiles. This was frustrating since I had just used them last year to do the same job. He didn't even give me a recommendation for someone that could. Well I did a google search and within a minute, found plenty of suppliers that do stock the very same tile that is on my roof. Update: The owner called and offered to fix the roof, but I had already hired another company. I respect the fact that he called me personally.

Roofing crew punctual, courteous, and professional. Gave me a good rundown of what the plan\process was prior to actual work. Estimate and was spot on with no surprises. Great company!

We could not find a roofer who would come to Silver Springs to give us an estimate until we called Scott Roofing. They sent out an estimator within a few days and emailed the estimate back to us by the next day for the repair of a large area on our Garage roof that was leaking and down to the wood plus several smaller areas of missing shingles from wind damage. When we submitted to our insurance carrier they thought the price was very reasonable. Within about 10 days they scheduled our repair which was completed in one morning. They did a great job and you cannot tell where the damaged areas were - they matched the tile color perfectly. The clean-up was perfect, you couldn't tell they were there. They also nailed down a few shingles on our house for no charge. The office staff was equally as professional and very nice. I would definitely call them again without hesitation and recommend this company!!!

Based on a few recommendations, we contacted Scott Roofing to provide an estimate to replace the roof on our house. Ken Dixon was the estimator. He arrived right on schedule, took about 15 minutes looking at the roof, and we had an estimate within 2 days. Scott Roofing's price was about $2,000 lower than another company we received a quote from (a third recommended company never got back to us) for the same product. The crew showed up on Monday morning at about 8:00 and worked efficiently throughout the day. When I got home, all the work for the day was cleaned up. This same scenario happened the next two days. This crew worked quickly and quietly (for re-roofing a house). When the job was finished on Wednesday afternoon, I walked the perimeter of the house and didn't find 1 nail on the ground. They did a terrific job of cleaning up. If you're looking to replace your roof, give Ken Dixon a call. Based on this job, I would highly recommend Scott Roofing!

Even though we did not use Scott Roofing to do our roof repair, they contacted me to explain that they had made improvements in their scheduling system as a consequence of our experience. I was contacted by both their scheduler and manager. That is outstanding and exceptionally professional performance, and it is not the norm in my home contractor experience. Well done Scott Roofing. In the future, I will use you and recommend you to others.

Ken Dixon is their roofing estimator and he is very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Ken gave me three different estimates based on different types of asphalt shingles and we decided to go with CertainTeed Landmark shingles. His crew took off the old shingles in one day and also cut the roof ridge and the garage ridge for my new venting system on the roof ridge. The hot weather is just starting but I have already noticed that the house seems cooler with the addition of this new venting system and we used the Moire Black colored shingles which look stunning. Scott Roofing also upgrades your base felt to 30lb vs. the standard 15lb. felt at no additional charge and they also put in ice shields and removed two old roof vents and sealed the holes up. I could not be any happier with Scott Roofing and I would recommend Scott Roofing to anyone! I am sure I forgot some of the additional upgrades to the roof The roof looks sharp and with our new paint job on the exterior the house looks brand new and this house was built in 1986. Also ask for extra shingles and corner shingles which they will gladly give you upon request. Need a new roof, call Scott Roofing!!! Oh! If you plan on adding a new roof and also painting the exterior of your house I would recommend painting the house first so you eliminate the possibily of getting spray paint on the new roof!!!

Contacted me fairly quick . Gave me an estimate in a reasonable amount of time. Office was professional and courteous. The estimate was a bit high and higher than the other one received. I deffinately would use this company in the future. The insurance company only gave us 2/3 rds of the lowest estimate of another company and we had to make up the difference even though it was wind damage. It was based on the age of the roof. Since the other company had a lower bid that came closer to what the insurance was paying we went with them. But Scotts came to me highly recommended so I may use them in the future.

After I called Scott Roofing to arrange for an estimate, Francisco came out to do it. I had called 4 other companies for estimates as well, and Scott was the best by about $100.00. In addition they are a CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster installer. Apparently a special thing with the roofing product supplier. On the morning of the roof removal the crew showed up right on time complete with all tools, men, trash truck to haul away the old roof and even their own Porta Potty. The crew, led by Enrique, worked all day then cleaned up as though the job was complete. Very nice guys, very professional work. The next day they were back again, right on time for the installation. The new roof was installed with the same professional dispatch as the old removal. Several men walked all around out house to be sure every last scrap was picked up before they left. We couldn't be happier and would recommend Scott Roofing to anyone.

They were able to start the work within two weeks (and complete it in one day) and solved the leak problem. The only negative was they didn't give us the one day notice (before work was begun) that they said they would, but they were trying to get the work done before a big snow storm arrived (and I appreciate that).

Good company. They completed the repairs on our roof in a professional and competent manner.

They showed up on time and removed the old roof. Repaired a few damaged planks and installed a new rood. Took 2 days and the job was done to perfection. They cleaned up all the debris and nails and painted the vents and chimney pipe. I would highly recommend Scott roofing to anyone who needs a new roof in the Reno Sparks area!

All went really well. They were responsive from the beginning and timely. The roof looks great. The only hang up was that I had to call a couple of times to get the roofer to have the city/county inspector come out to certify the re-foofing. They got on it after the second call and all went well. I also appreciated the 5% discount they offered for paying with cash/check.

Overall, my experience with Scott's Roofing was a total disappointment. Here's why: I called on Wednesday, 8/3/13 and spoke to the receptionist, Mary Ann. She was professional and assured me someone would come out in a few days. I told her that I am not always in the office so it was important to have the estimator call as far in advance as possible so that I could arrange my schedule to be here to talk with him. She assured me that would happen. However, when I returned to my office the afternoon of Friday, 8/5/13, I found a brochure and the estimator's business card stuck in my door... without ever having called prior to coming. Again, I called their office and, this time, I spoke to Carol. She apologized for the estimator's failure to call in advance and said she'd have him call me on Monday, 8/8/13 about the estimate. When the estimator called, he couldn't even pronounce my name! Then he told me he'd already mailed a written estimate. I asked how he could prepare an estimate if he hadn't spoken to me about the scope of the job. His attitude was indifferent and he said something to the effect that "it was just a roof replacement." I assured him is was not that simple and that I had several ideas that I had wanted to discuss, including the addition and placement of skylights. He asked, "Well, do you want round ones or square ones?" The more we talked, the more frustrated I became, because it was clear to me that he really didn't care what I wanted. Finally, I said that if he wasn't interested in coming back so that we could discuss the scope of the project, then we were both wasting our time...and I hung up. Again, I called the office and spoke to Carol about my overall experience (no advance call, no opportunity to talk to the estimator, receipt of an estimate that wasn't based on the job I wanted done, the estimator's indifferent attitude, etc.). She was pleasant, but just kept saying how sorry she was. However, she made absolutely no effort to reschedule another estimator...nor did she seem to care that they had lost a potential customer. Based on the opinion of positive testimonials by other Angie's List members, I fully expected a pleasant, professional experience. And although the receptionist's were pleasant, they were not helpful in resolving this situation. I am sorry to say that I would never do business with Scott's Roofing nor would I ever recommend them to others.

Made estimate, came in at 10,000 below Sears; started work with a competent crew and equipment; finished work and clean-up within agreed timme.

We had they appointment booked out a couple weeks, but we got a phone call one morning at around 7am that they had a cancellation and that they could work on our roof that day. We agreed so that we could get it done sooner. They came about an hour after the call and didn't leave till 4pm. They let us know when they got there, and then when they left they cleaned up really well and thanked us for letting them come on short notice. Afterwards a supervisor came and check everything out. We were very happy with the work. The roof hasn't leaked and we have had several heavy rains. We would definitely use them again. When they gave us an estimate it was mailed to the house, and they also sent all their licenses, and a detailed sheet of what they were planing on doing.

The day after my initial call, Ken the estimator showed up, measured my roof, and informed me that he would e-mail me an estimate on the following business day. I received the e-mail estimate as promised and a mailed hard copy, along with a contract and other pertinent information, two days later. I signed the contract and mailed it back. Within one week of my initial estimate, Ken called to set appointment for work to begin. Three days later I had a beautiful new roof. I can see details that make Scott Roofing installation superior to others. I can drive through my neighborhood and identify their work by these details.

We overpaid Scott Roofing LLC by USD 11.00 and he sent us the check of the refund. They were good, they did it pretty quickly, they came out pretty fast, we were getting leaking so they came out pretty promptly. Their pricing was good, it was a little under what the insurance would pay.

I needed to have some concrete tiles replaced and a general check on my roof. I called a few companies and price wise Scott Roofing was competitive. They came out next day and were able to match existing tiles and did some other small work all within an hour.

I called Scott Roofing and they gave me their hourly pricing, it sounded fair so I faxed a credit card/ work authorization form to them. Within two days, the roofers came out to assess the damage. I have a custom clay tile roof and they were able to find the exact tiles with the proper stamped end caps and same color tiles that were on my roof. The next day they showed up and replaced apx. 40 tiles. They were courteous, clean, and professional. I will definitely call them again when the wind removes my roof tiles next time.
