I wish this could count as 3 or 4 reviews. I learned about SCK Painting at 1740 Pittman from my sister. She used them and was very happy with the service. My parents used them and were pleased with the service. We used them back in 2005 for interior painting and were happy. The exterior needed painting, so we called SCK. We got a couple other estimates too. The SCK estimate was the best on cost. They were very thorough and did the work over several days to allow time for powerwash, prepping and caulking, tarping areas and protecting plants, 2 full coats of paint. They did an excellent job of matching the original colors. On time, great clean-up, couldn't ask for more. The phone book is confusing because there a several firms with the same/similar name. I'm reviewing the one with phone 787-3169 located at Pittman Ave.

Grace, the owner, never showed up at our agreed upon appointment time of 3:00, which was a waste of valuable time for me. It would have been nice to at least receive a phone call if she had to cancel. Not very professional. The next day, I received a voice mail from Grace, stating that something came up the previous day which prevented her from making our 3:00 appointment, but she offered no apology whatsoever. I also found it amusing that she said she was on her way to my house for another 3:00 appointment, which I had never agreed to. Even more amusing is that she didn't even show up for that appointment. A double whammy for professionalism.

I have used SCK Painting several times over the years and am always very happy with their work. Grace, the owner and estimator, is extremely honest and their bids are always very reasonable. The work is good and in the few times that I found needed corrections they followed up immediately. I find their intense focus on customer satisfaction to be refreshing. On one job, where I needed to match paint and did not have any record of the color, they really did a good job and I could not tell the difference between the new paint and the previously painted adjoining wall. I had a little bit of drywall repair done with them and was happy with the work as well. I don't think that I have every used them for exterior painting, but based on everything else that they have done I would definitely trust them with it. I should say that I am a real estate professional so I understand that I may get better service based on referrals but I have recommended them to countless clients and they all seem really happy with this company.

I initially had a bad experience with this company; however, they have since corrected the original issues that I had. Thank you.
