Quality Curb

Went very well. We are very happy with their work.

From first contact with Mike to the follow up with Tony we can't say enough about the operation. Attentive, punctual and detail driven, it was a large project with a bit of difficulty in blending the needs and desires. Kept the work site clean and organized provided no drama with the neighbors and exceeded our expectations. Delivers a quality product at a fair price with years of experience and happy customers that gave glowing recommendations. They can add mine as well. Already planning the next project.

They broke up and removed the old, laid a good base and rebar which was more than the old drive had, and finished up with an excellent broom finish. They had a 6 week backlog when I booked them and did not slip so I was able to get it done on a schedule that fit my needs. No collateral damage and cleaned up very well, including caution tape to prevent anyone from driving on it too soon.

We have used Quality Curb on numerous occasions and we have always been pleased with their service. This is the only company we would recommend for cement/pavers work.

The project went as scheduled even with me changing my mind a couple of times!

I contacted Quality Curb online and they promptly contacted me by phone and arranged for Tony to come out and give me an estimate. Tony called me on the day of the estimate and asked if he could arrive early since he was in our area. When Tony arrived, he asked what we wanted and then proceeded to take measurements. He then sat down in his truck and came up with a very detailed estimate with several options. I then tried to get some other estimates from other contractors and they went poorly. Most of them just wanted to give me an estimate over the phone without even looking at the place and one made an appointment to come over and never showed up. Another contractor came by and took measurements but never returned or contacted us with the estimate. After all this, I contacted Quality Curb and told them that I wanted them to do the work. Tony called me back and said that he would be glad to do it but it would be 4 weeks before he could start which I was OK with. After about 3 weeks, I called to see if we were still on schedule. Tony called me back and said that they had a canceled job so he could start the next day. They showed up the next day promptly, completed the prep work that day and then did the concrete pour and finishing work the next day. I was very impressed on how quickly and efficiently they worked and how beautiful the job turned out. I would most highly recommend Quality Curb for any of my friends.

We have had good experience. They did did a good job on both of them. They poured a patio for us and it messed it up a little bit and then they came back the next day and said if you don't like it we will redo it and we thought about it and we said we don't like it because we are going to keep this thing for a long time. But they came back a couple of days and they did the whole thing. He said, "You will be satisfied with it." and we weren't satisfied because at the end it was kind of dug out on the sides and it was kind of high. It ended up being about 7-8 inches high and we just wanted that to be a flat surface all the way around and it wasn't. They came back and they did it good.

Tony gave an estimate on both properties was on time and his crew did their jobs very professionally. I was surprised at the quality and how easy they made it for us.

The guy who came out was very professional and we like him. The price was well within the range and I got a quote from them.

We couldn't have asked for a better or more well organized 4 man crew. Next year we're going to replace our driveway and all front walkways. We have already stated that we want the same crew.

This is a very easy outfit to work with. Our interactions with the estimator and the crew that actually did the work were very pleasant. One of us is deaf and needs a little help in understanding what is going on: everyone was very patient with us and made sure that we understood everything perfectly. The final price was exactly as estimated; the work was done as promised when it was promised. We are well satisfied with the job and would recommend them highly. Our immediate neighbors had a similar job done a month before by another company; our sidewalk is finished better and looks much nicer. Also. the fittings Quality Curb used to divert the gutter down spouts look 100% better than those used next door. The price was almost exactly the same. They well deserve their good ratings here.

They were fantastic, did the work in November when we were a little worried about freezing. They came out every day and checked the concrete and now 6 months later it is in perfect condition and looks great. Definitely would use again!

Quality Curb arrived on time the first day ready to go. The crew removed the old walkway and pavers, and spent the rest of the workday prepping the ground for the new walkway from the rear porch to the garage, extending to the front gate, and curving with two steps to the driveway. Also prepped were two areas to either side of the walkway that had been mostly dirt but can now be used as seating/BBQ areas. At the end of the day the crew cleaned up the area, leaving it in perfect condition for the concrete to be poured. Due to a forecasted storm, Quality Curb's owner, Tony, decided against pouring the concrete the next day. His crew returned several days later to finish the job, again arriving on time and ready to work. The concrete was poured, leveled, and smoothed out. It looked fantastic when they were finished. Again, the work area was cleaned up and the only reason you could tell anyone had been there was the yellow caution tape and of course, the fresh concrete. Within a few hours, someone in my household who will remain nameless forgot about the fresh concrete and took a few steps on it, leaving marks. An immediate frantic call to one of the workers and he was at our house within 20 minutes to make everything perfect again at no extra charge (although we did give him a tip in appreciation). We would hire Quality Curb again for any concrete job and highly recommend them to anyone else looking for quality, professional concrete work.

not bad. the work was good. had to have them return to redo 1 section that cracked 3 months later. no problem getting them to redo the cracked area. the only thing I had an issue with, was they tried to ramp my entry way to the instead of steps. I had to talk them out of putting in a ramp. the supervisor kept arguing that a ramp was better. I don't like the look of a ramp and we did not need a ramp.

They took out the upper part of my driveway, cut out the roots from a pine tree that had been growing near and had lifted the drive way up creating a hazard for anyone walking over it. They poured new cement so now its flush with the rest of the drive way. In the back yard they extended the patio and over all did a great job, no mess for me to clean up, very professional crew and very nice. I will definitely hire them again if I decide to have more work done.

I have nothing but good things to say about these guys -- Quality Curb is a sister company of Legends Landscaping, and we're using both Quality Curb and Legends for concrete/hardscape/landscaping. From the very start Quality Curb and Legends worked extremely well as a team. From proposal/pricing through final execution and clean-up, everything went very smoothly. We got several bids for this job and Quality Curb was very competitive and by comparison MUCH more professional, e.g. written proposal detailing basic costs, as well as documenting additional add-on costs we'd be likely to incur like cost per square ft. for demolition and hauling off existing material, etc. (I was very happy to hear they offered these add-on services instead of leaving me wondering how I'd get those done). Quality's process for blanketing and curing concrete during winter pours also seemed more thoughtful than others', and the results turned out great. One other thing I'd like to add is that Quality Curb took extra measures that we didn't even discuss up-front, such as not pouring concrete right up to main gas supply lines -- instead that area was edged out and they left river rock around the gas meter/gas supply lines, which will make it a lot easier to access those gas lines if they ever have to be dug up. Quality Curb also installed a concrete post in front of the gas meter, which we did discuss up-front. Their pricing, professionalism, and attention to detail really won me over. I would not hesitate to use them again. And they're really nice people, you can tell they care and are very hard working, I'm not into writing reviews, this is actually my first for Angie's list, but people/businesses that demonstrate that they really care about doing a good job deserve praise to be shared on forums such as this. I'll write up a review for Legends Landscaping when that job's complete . . . to date, I'm also super impressed with the work Legends has done for us.

The job was done very well. I would recommend Quality Curb to anyone who needs concrete work.

I'm having my garage finished. The contractor I hired to finish the garage noted how impressed he was with the new driveway. I agree. Quality Curbs' representative busted my chops a tad over the service done in removing the silver maple and grinding down the stump. That was entirely unnecessary, but it would not sway me from hiring them again, recommending them to someone else, or detract from my grades here on Angie's List.

It was great! They arrived on time and the crew worked hard the whole time they were here. They used sledge hammers etc. to take out the concrete and also all the roots underneath. They also put in a sleeve so that we can run drip hoses to some other plants. We would use them again if needed.

Tony the foreman was on time, knowledgeable, and professional. Can not say enough superlative about him and crew the best.

Called Quality Curb to set up an appointment for concrete slab pour. Tony arrived on schedule and listened to my needs and budget. Was disappointed in the price only because my budget was $1000 and they do not do a pour for less than $1500. So worked out how much concrete $1500 would get me. He drew out a plan with esimate of cubic feet needed for the pour of 6' x 27' slab. Agreed on the plan and arranged for job to be done. Was advised probably would be 2-3 weeks out before pour could be done. I was disappointed in the time frame, but he would be in touch as he reviewed their schedule. Tony called within a week and stated he had an opening and could do the pour that week which was earlier than expected. I was thrilled that the pour could begin within a few days. Tony especially made me feel comfortable and confident in my choice to hire them to do the work, since I had shared with him a horrible experience with a previous contract where they did part of the work, took 1/2 the money and never completed the work. I had committed to myself that lesson was learned and would not pay until the work was satisfactorily completed. Tony worked with me and we agreed upon 1/2 the cost to be paid upon arrival for the job and the other 1/2 could be invoiced. Tony also committed he would be on site with his crew to get the job started. Tony arrived with his crew to go over the plan on Friday as scheduled and the crew immediately got to work. Crew was efficient and knew exactly what they were doing. Site was prepared for framing and all debris was removed from the area. Framing was set up and ready to go while waiting for the cement truck to arrive. Cement pour was efficient and methodical. Crew stayed on job until smoothing was finished maybe a total of 7 hours from start to finish. They even disposed of the dirt/rock debris that was removed from the site. Area was picked up and any remnants of the job were carted off or put in trash can. Elias and crew was respectful, helpful and did not seem to mind my watching all the activity on how they got the job done. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM...Tony and his crew delivered exactly what he said they would, in the way they would, when he said they would. Great bunch of guys. Would definitely call them again for any future concrete needs. P.S. Because my budget was less than the actual pour needed to complete the entire project, Tony was helpful in giving me ideas about how to finish the job when my budget allowed. Thanks Tony you made my day!
