Ron and Jan were great from the beginning. I asked a lot of questions because I was researching other companies and they never made me feel as though my questions were stupid or inconveniencing them. Ron dropped off multiple samples so I could choose the right color and let me have them for as long as I needed. His guys were very respectful of the fact I had dogs, they were timely and always cleaned up after themselves each day. Most of all, my roof looks fabulous!!

The owner, Ron Pratt, was very responsive coming to my house to have a look at my problem. He said he needed to send two men over to do water test to narrow down the location of the leak. Those fellas showed up in a very timely manner. The water test charge was $170.00. Ron then put together an estimate (at least I thought it was an estimate) on the cost to repair the leak. That cost was $1665.00. I called to clarify why it was so much. He stated it was going to take 2 men 6 to 8 hours to do the work. Since he did not break down the labor from the material, I can only assume the labor cost was based on the high side at 16 hours. The day the work was performed, 3 men showed up. They proceeded to my lawn to eat their lunch and lay down for a short nap. They spent 35 minutes on my lawn and then proceeded to work. I calculated the actual labor hours as 10 hours. That means the labor should have been $850.00. I was informed that the $1665.00 was actually a contract cost and not an estimate, meaning that is the price I am going to pay regardless of what the actual work entailed. So I can only assume with actual $850.00 in labor, he charged me $815.00 for material. I cannot imagine that the material was anywhere near $815.00. Oh yes, the contract price included another water test before replacing the tiles to insure that the leak was fixed. They did not perform a water test. I tried 4 or 5 other roofers to get other estimates but did not receive call backs from any of them. I was anxious to get it fixed before it rained again and that is why I hired Pratt n Sons without getting any additional estimates. Since I am feeling ripped off on this repair, I cannot recommend Pratt n Sons roofing to anyone else.

They have repaired a leak on two different occasions, and is continuing to leak. It is better, but it still has a small leak. For the second repair they charged me, and I thought it was under warranty.
