Great. Got hold of Eric Torres just when he was to start another job at around 8:30 PM. He told me he was about to start a job, and that if he were to work after 10:00 PM it would cost double time. I agreed to that and he arrived at about 9:30. Before 10:00 he was finished and the clog was removed. Eric was professional and courteous. We are quite pleased with the experience and would recommend Michael's Plumbing to anyone.

Overall this was a great job. We had a bit of a rocky start due to some re-scheduling and shuffling of personnel, but the team ended up doing great work. Their initial estimate was not the least expensive, but the job was completed with very few hitches so we are pleased with value of the work.

Excellent! Kent came out and gave us an estimate. He was cordial, explained what we needed and how the job would be performed, and showed us on his phone the kind of pump that would be installed. He was not pushy. He has many years of experience doing plumbing and was straight forward. He said he would send an estimate on Friday that week, when he was in the office, and he did. Michael's requires half down before ordering the parts, and the remaining half upon completion of the job. Job went smoothly, Brandon showed up on time and ready to do the work that was needed. He did an excellent job, kept me informed and cleaned up every bit of mess that was made before leaving. An A+ experience!!

Greg really went overboard getting the washing machine drain unclogged. Exemplary job and quite a long time. With all of his dedicated efforts he removed the clog, tested the line and I am happy to say it works great now.

I believe they were just trying to sell a furnace. Beware!!!

I can trust. All these plumbers, you can't trust them. I think they are honest and they do good work.

It was uneventful. It was expensive.

They quoted one price, and called back after it was complete to inform me they under quoted by $300. They said it took longer for the technician to do the job and they had to call in another technician to finish the job. I told them he was a nice man but couldn't do the service and the technician told us he had to call for back up. I ended up paying it because he would have taken us to court. I felt sorry for the technician that he was put in that position.

I had originally gotten an estimate for this work from a local company that I have done business with for almost 50 years and installed the heating and cooling system in both my houses. I was shocked at the estimate ($ 650), so I decided to get another. I have seen the Michaels trucks around town for years, so I called for an estimate. The young man from Michaels that gave us the estimate arrived a little late, but he called and told us he was going to be about 20 minutes late. Scheduled the work for 3 - 5 PM on a subsequent day. The technician arrive at 3 PM sharp. In about an hour and a half he was done and writing his invoice for $ 215. I had the occasion to go into the crawl space the next day to move some electrical wiring and noticed the ducting was neatly done and sealed. Both of Michaels technicians were young professionals and obviously well experienced. Michaels has a new customer with 3 homes and the other company has lost a customer. I can only assume the other company feels their work is so valuable is because they call themselves "Energy Experts"

We were having troubles getting a plumber to return our phone calls to set up an appointment. The previous plumber had come out and immediately said we needed a new hot water heater for about $4K when he didn't even physically touch it or test it. I called Michael's plumbing in the morning and they said the only open spot on their calendar was for 3 to 5pm. We accepted this time. About 11:30am, we received a call that they were ahead of schedule, and if it would be OK if the plumber arrived in about 30 minutes. We said yes. When he arrived I showed him the water heater and the leaking PTRV and he said that the original expansion tank that was installed was too small, and that was causing the PTRV to fail. Within 30 minutes, we had a new double size expansion tank (properly pressurized this time), and a new PTRV valve installed. As it turns out, the 'technician' that came out was not just a technician, but actually the owner Michael. Fantastic service, arrived before their scheduled time, explained everything, and did not try to sell a whole new system..just did what was needed to be done. We will call Michaels first from now on, for all of our plumbing, heating, electrical needs.

We have used Michael's Plumbing for several heating/cooling and plumbing issues since moving to the Sparks area. The work has always been done promptly and efficiently. When a question arose about a service bill, Michael himself contacted us to resolve the issue. This company is committed to customer satisfaction and does quality work. We will continue to use them for our plumbing, heating and electrical needs. We have recently contracted with Michael's Plumbing to do a bathroom remodel for us.

He came out and took a look at my swamp cooler, and told me that I actually needed a roofer, not a plumber, and that there was nothing wrong with the cooler. I was not charged by him for the estimate.

Of course, nothing big EVER happens in the middle of the week so when the tankless water heater (side note: highly recommend these) went out on a Friday morning, we contacted Rinnai customer support who directed us to Michael's Plumbing and Heating, an authorized plumber for Rinnai tankless water heaters. We called, explained the situation and although they were booked solid, they said they would try to get out late Friday. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible but said they would be out first thing Monday. And sure enough, at approx 9 a.m. the plumber (Greg) showed up after a phone call to verify we were still in need of service. Greg was courteous, professional, well dressed and knowledgeable. And, he wasn't put off by our 125-lb FRIENDLY Rottweiler. After diagnosing the problem, Greg contacted Rinnai technical support and set to work. As it turned out, the recent moth invasion was the cause and he advised us to put a screen over the vent to prevent future infestations. Greg flushed the system with vinegar, cleaned out the parts with the compressor,, put it back together and now all is good. We were impressed with the company's response, concern for being out of hot water, effort to arrive on a late Friday, the contact to us initiated by the company, being on time, the plumber's knowledge, manner and thoroughness. Should it arise, we will most definitely call Michael's Plumbing and Heating and enthusiastically recommend them to others. A solid company you can be comfortable with and depend on. Thank you!

This was my first experience with Michael's having found them on Angies's List. I called at 6:30 p.m. 04/15/14 and left a message with the answering service whose operator was very pleasant and efficient. She told me the office opened at 7:30 a.m. asking if a call that early was alright. At 7:45 a.m. 04/16 I received a call and scheduled their first available appointment between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. that day. The polite & professional woman informed me that if an earlier time became available, she would call me. I asked for a call a few minutes prior to arrival so I could lock up my dogs & open the gate. She stated this was common practice and someone would call 15-20 min. prior. At 2:30 p.m. the office called to notify me Greg would be arriving shortly. I really appreciated the good communication and follow-through. Greg arrived in a large new van neatly dressed in a Michael's shirt and immediately handed me a business card with his name on it, not just a generic Michael's card. This made me feel like the technicians have some longevity with the company & I appreciate the professional appearance and introduction. He determined how to unclog the drain with a "power snake" and used a padded rug and numerous towels to keep the floor and under sink area clean. He worked quickly and answered any questions I asked in a friendly manner. The entire process was professional and pleasant. I would recommend this company and will call them again without hesitation.

Operative arrived within the expected time. One look at the water heater,and he knew the problem. Replaced the failed part, restarted the heater, and left an emergency number. There has been no recurrence.

Diagnose problem with smell in master bedroom

Performed a complete HVAC renovation with new heater and AC condenser with supply lines installed plus enlarging certain supply ducts and return air to improve air distribution to some parts of the house. Additionally replaced thermostat with new, programmable unit. New system performs as promised.

they overcharge they charged me $380.00 to light the pilot light and clean around it. what a scam the manager /owner was particulary unhelpful. i wont go back anymore

The owner, Michael, arrived on time (a bit early, in fact) and immediately put booties on over his shoes to protect our floors. He was very professional and knowledgeable, letting us know several possible causes of the problem. He tried the least intrusive solutions first (the second worked) rather than immediately ripping a hole in the wall to try to find the problem (some contractors will first try the most labor-intensive fixes, and we appreciated that Michael started with the small possible solutions first). Michael also found a problem with the overflow pan and fixed it.

One of the copper flex hoses on my hot water heater developed a leak that was flooding my garage. The owner himself came out within thirty minutes of my call and replaced the leaky hose! Michael is extremely an knowledgable plumber. He discussed our options without trying to "up sale" his services or products. Very nice guy I will use in the future for any plumbing or heating needs.

Greg came to the house on Tuesday to fix our hot water heater that had an A2 error. After quoting $237.00 to inspect and clean the unit I agreed to have him continue. Once the unit was cleaned (Greg stated there was very little soot or debris in the unit) he proceded to finish the job. When the A2 error returned he contacted Bosch who suggested they replace the fuse and it could be next day shipped to us (however due to the lateness of the day it would not leave until Wednesday and arrive on Thursday). Greg came back on Thursday, replaced the fuse and we had hotwater again. Through out the whole time he worked efficiently and professionally. I would not hesitate to call them back for any plumbing and heating needs.
