Description of Work: I requested that this company come and repair a badly leaking water pipe some three feet underground. They had originally been the contractor given the job by the builder of connecting the irrigation line to the water service from the meter. When they arrived I had already dug the hole for them. They were therefore able to see the problem immediatley. The plastic pipe connecting irrigation to the water main had broken. The tech got down in the hole and repaired the break. As a result of this break some 75,000 gals of water had leaked away underground over sevral months. I filled the hole again and thought no more about it. Silly me! This past October I received a water bill showing use of 48,000 galls at a time when usage is 3,000 gals. I called a helper and we dug in hole exactly where the previous hole had been dug. This time the plastic irrigation pipe had completely seperated from the water main. Seperated where the Interstate tech had made the repair back in 2008. The next water bill showed a loss of 33,000 gals. Due to the delay in receiving bills and finding the leak. We made repairs using copper piping and tested the joint over a week. Then refilled the hole.
