Be wary! I should have known better than to hire Shane Hunter without insisting on a signed contract. The work performed was top notch, however, Shane "forgot" about our initial appointment to bid the job, and then after confirming a start date, he wanted to postpone the day before the work was to begin. He left his helper to finish the job without talking to me (although I was home) and then wanted a check at completion made payable to Sherwin Williams paint store. When he bid the job, the window frames were included in the quote, but he didn't paint them.

I was referred to Shane by a friend. I was in kind of a time crunch and let Shane know that he should only give me a bid if he could complete the job in the specified timeframe. We had just purchased this house and the paint was peeling and the trim was in really bad shape. Not only did Shane get the job done on schedule but it came out better than I thought possible. I thought I knew what a good paint job looked like, as I had been looking at newly painted houses for ideas but when he and his crew were done it looked like new, probably better than new, or in Shane's words "like a camper shell". The trim especially was an impressive transformation. As a first time home-owner this was the first time I had ever hired a contractor for anything and Shane put up with my endless (and probably dumb) questions pretty well. This job was done beyond my expectations, on a crazy tight schedule and I would recommend Shane and his crew to my friends!

He took some of my money and ran. I made the payment to a Sherwin Williams for $1000. He had completed $650 work of painting for me. I had a lot of people coming and going during this time. He sent in another guy who did a wonderful job. He dropped paint on my newly laid ceramic and wood floor. Sean came and took photos of the paint spills which were minimal. He said he was going to talk to Larry who did the work and said this was unacceptable. He left and said he would be back next week to complete the garage door painting. The next week he sent me a text message saying he would not be doing any more work for me and needed to come get his ladders. We did not know why he said this. We told him to come get the ladders and asked when he would finish the job. He did not return the money or finish the work. He called me foul names. My husband tried to reach out to him advising him that we had a contract in black and white with the services already paid for. He then said that he would do the garage door for $1,200 now instead of the $400 we had already paid him for it.
