Very well. Joe was here right on time. We went over what I was asking for and he went to work. He explained that ho wouldn't be "steaming" our dining room, living room and family rooms, but using another "dryer" tool to get out carpets clean and dry rather quickly at the quoted price. This is my third time hiring Joe for my carpet cleaning. We were at a point where, even after a professional cleaning, the carpets looked bad again after just a few days. We thought the only solution was to buy new carpets, which would be almost as bad as moving, as we have a lot of furniture and rooms we'd need new carpeting in. As a last resort, I started doing even more research both on Angie's List and on Yelp for professional carpet cleaners and found Five Step Carpet Cleaning. I contacted the owner and made an appointment. Since this is my third time hiring Joe, I'm sure I don't really need to say how thrilled I am with his service. :-) He's very professional, takes pride in his job and makes my carpets look fantastic, and we're talking about 15 year old carpets! Before, if we had stains, they'd reappear in just a few days. With the care and skill of Joe, they do not come back! On his first visit, our beloved dog had just passed and I was trying to get rid of as many painful reminders she left behind. Even though it wasn't one of the jobs we originally hired him to do, he very nicely offered to clean our runners and the large area rug she used to love to lay on. They looked great! We just had him back again yesterday and, as always, he did a fantastic job and gave me the same discount I had last time. How nice is that? I would definitely recommend Joe for your carpet and upholstery needs.

GREAT! Joe was a few minutes early. Walked the house and firmed his estimate. Carpets look great. No smell, not wet for days. He was professional and thorough. Even cleaned the acrylic separate hall runner which catches all the garage traffic.

I was skeptical of this, but it has been two weeks since service, and I am duly impressed. The carpets are a beige color and 12 years old... but you would not know it, they are soft to walk on and stains that had been there were removed. I fully indorse this provider.

We called Five Step Carpet Care after our beloved pet passed away. We needed a fresh start and saw on Angie's List some great reviews for this service. We had used other companies in the past and the carpet would look bad just a few days after it was cleaned. We didn't know if it was just bad service, or it was time to replace our carpeting. We called Five Step Carpet Care and was surprised it was going to take longer for him to come out, but at the same time, that's good as that means people are using this service. He arrived on time, was very professional, and I gave him the tour of the house showing him the bad areas that needed to be addressed more fully. I talked with him about our area rugs and he very nicely took those out front (since it was a warm, sunny day) and took care of those as well. He got right to work inside the house, and he really does five steps!! :-) He worked hard, taking his time and did such a wonderful job. I'm writing this review a few months after his service and I'm happy to report, that our carpets look as good as when he left!! I will definitely be using this service again in the future and am so thankful for websites like Angie's List that have helped me find good service in our area time and time again.

Joe is very knowledgeable. He did an excellent job. I was impressed that he is the only carpet cleaner that I have heard of to clean stairs by hand! Hard worker!

Joe did an outstanding job for us. This was our first experience with 5 Step so we were a little skeptical. Also, the home we purchased obviously had not had their carpeting cleaned in a long, long time. When Joe finished, the carpeting looked soooo much better. After years of obvious abuse, there is only so much one can do to restore it. We weren't sure how clean the carpet would be after cleaning. Frankly, we half expected to replace a room or two, but Joe saved us from having to spend a lot to replace some carpet. Overall I doubt our experience with Joe and his unique methodology could have been better. We wholeheartedly endorse 5 Step.

It was a Big Deal purchase. It went well. There were no additional charges. He took the time to get the job done. He cleaned thoroughly.

Joe was prompt and courteous and very conscientious about to be expected on an old carpet such as mine.

The results were outstanding. The only thing I didn't expect is that the provider came by himself and wasn't able to move furniture and clean underneath it.
