Black Rock Window & Door Inc.

We recently built a new house south of Carson City and used Black Rock Window and Door for our windows and sliding doors. Although their prices are higher than the big box stores, the service they provide is worth the extra money. They helped us work through our window and door options; submitted/coordinated/received orders from multiple manufacturers; reviewed our builder’s onsite framing to prevent future installation problems; ensured the delivered product was correct, complete and expected quality; stored the windows/doors until the job site was ready - then delivered them to the job site; held the screens until the house was completed months later; and ensured every window, door, and screen performed correctly, fixing all hardware, glass and frames that had problems, including those damaged during construction. Over the course of our project, numerous problems arose and they took care of everything.

I am hopeful for a good resolution.

Was referred to Black Rock by Velux USA for servicing in November 2016. They sent a technician out. He said they would be able to repair the skylights. Got an emailed quote in January 2017, it stated parts would be available in May or June. Just called a week ago to keep in touch. Was told the original sales person was no longer with the company but the new salesperson said he found my quote and would handle it. He called today to renege on the quote saying the company's owners weren't interested in doing this kind of a job. Also reneged on their separate quote to replace the failed seal on the other window. The owners didn't even have the courtesy to call and apologize themselves. Lost 5 months because of these people and not so much as an apology. Dishonorable company and owners.

Showed up on time and finished right on schedule. Their attention to detail was excellent and the windows look awesome.
