Yes, the contractor dug to the amount asked for--400feet.. Then the contractor said the amount of water there was not enough--5gpms. He told us we could not live on 5 gpms. .He said to dig deeper and then at 596 feet there was even less water, he said, 3 gpms. Then he suggested installing an underground tank to collect and store the water before it came to the house. He never gave us the model or serial number of this tank nor did he give us a pump installation log, that should be given. All this activity caused the bill to rise to nearly $50,000. Yes we have water, but now we have no savings, no IRAs and we had to refinance the house to pay this bill. I learned later that 5 gpms is just fine to live on according to the USDA "Water Systems Handbook". Again, this contractor misrepresented the facts. He actually violated NRS 624.30165 which terms this behavior as 'Unfair Business Practices, by misrepresenting that we needed a service, and replacement parts, equipment, repairs that we did not need. He should have stopped at 400 ft, installed a new pump, and then be gone. That was what the contract said. This contractor is the worse kind of contractor: he who preys upon the elderly and those with Alzheimers. He did not obey the original contract.. He never amended the original contract to reflect these changes. He just sent proposals upon proposals, which totaled to $39043.33 and then he sent invoices that totaled to $49238.80. Yes, I have reported all this the the Nevada Board of Contractors. This Aqua Drilling Contractor, Roger Thrall, is a nightmare.
