Geeze, wow, what a crew! They did far more then I would of ever dreamed of to get our home updated with paint and repairs. The guys are so skilled and perfection is what they seem to go for. I felt comfortable leaving them in our home without us there. I got referred to them by my mom and her friend. I am passing on their referral here, great Job guys!

Kirk and his crew were incredible. The project was from Tuesday - Saturday. The work is beautiful- we feel like we are in a new house! My favorite things about them: 1. Attention to detail- every little nook and cranny was meticulously painted. My pessimistic husband even commented on this. 2. Going the extra mile- they went and special-ordered some replacement baseboards to fix some dings in ours. They painted other parts of the kitchen that needed a little TLC that we didn’t even ask them to do- window wells, around a door, etc. they were awesome. Thanks Kirk!

EXTERIOR: job went flawlessly due to diligence of hard working crew. Vandermark ensured that needed paint and supplies arrived in a timely fashion. INTERIOR: interior painters were a different crew. They worked hard to minimize our ability to move around the house. They worked a full day with only a short lunch break and completed the job sonnet than expected. Vandermark was fair with all “change orders” that occurred, e.g., extra room painted, additional repairs required.

Kirk and his team were excellent and the work is amazing. True professionals from start to finish. They took time and care and did an amazing job. He is very responsive and easy to work with. Throughout the project the team was clean and orderly. We cannot say enough good things about our experience and their work. Our house looks beautiful! Hire Vandermark & Sons. After getting and evaluating several estimates, I chose Vandermark. His estimate fell in the middle between the hi and low estimates. I sent an email to him accepting his bid. Within about a week, the job was scheduled and was completed in two days. His crew did the job quickly and efficiently. I am very satisfied with the job as completed.

Kirk and his team are the best! They are very responsive, professional and punctual. The materials were of good quality. Kirk added some little projects to the work upon request and followed up to ensure that the work was done and that I was satisfied with the quality of the work. The crew did a great job keeping the paint off of my new pavers. The preparation and clean up were impeccable. I would recommend Kirk and his team to anyone needing a painting project.

I was referred to Kirk Vandermark from a friend. After doing some research on his reviews, I had him come over to give me an estimate. He came over and when I opened the door I realized that he had strong cologne on (I get an almost instant migraine from a certain men’s cologne, which is what he was wearing). I let him in and let him know that I’d need to step away so I didn’t get a migraine. He proceeded to look through the house. He said that he would email me the quote. I believe that he came out on 9/20/17, I received the quote on 9/24/17 which was fine. He quoted $8500 for the outside, $5800 for the inside. I let him know that I wanted to schedule. In the meantime, I own a business and have clients that need painting often. I referred him to a job in Incline. He got the job ($16,200). Not so much as a thank you call or note. Yesterday I referred him to another job and he agreed to meet me the next day (I’m handling the job for the client and have her key). I texted him back asking him not to wear cologne so that I could walk the house with him. After he had already agreed to a meeting time, he wrote back after seeing that and all he said was, “not interested”. Seriously? What he doesn’t know, is that I had referred another client on Friday with. $2m home in Reno who was going to call him to get the whole house repainted. I’ve already emailed her referring her to someone else. That would’ve probably been a $50k+ job. She’s a long time client of mine that has always used my referrals. I can’t believe how ungrateful he is and insensitive to a reasonable polite request not to wear cologne. I did get a migraine the day that he came to my house and spent the rest of the day in bed and throwing up. I’m sure he doesn’t care about that - which I never told him and referred him anyways. I will never refer him again nor use his services!

This is the second time that I have used their services. Owner Kirk Vandermark is very easy to work with. His entire crew is courteous and professional. And their work is quality. At this point I would not go anywhere else for home painting services. Highly recommended!

The job took one work week to remove and re texture all the popcorn ceilings by Jerry who did an excellent job and one additional work week for Kirk’s painters to paint the ceings, walls, doors and trim. Kirk also painted additional areas not included in the original bid plus re caulked and outside two story wall for NO additional charge! Kirk is easy to work with and he re painted the outside of our home about 4 years ago and the paint still looks brand new👍

I am so impressed with the excellent prep work and with the professionalism of every member of this business. The expert crew showed up exactly on time each morning and were diligent in doing an outstanding job. I have a historic home with lots of detail that needed expert care. I am thrilled with how courteous and concerned Kirk and his crew were about the care of my property. Every item that wasn't to be painted was carefully covered. Every blemish and every crack was repaired to ensure a perfect finish. The finished product is so beautiful and was completed in a timely manner. The quality of paint used, the quality of the work done and the professionalism of Kirk and his crew makes it so easy for me to highly recommend Vandermark & Son Painting.

He came and steam cleaned the exterior, which took about 1.5 hours on a 2700sq ft house? The front of the house went pretty well, except, yes, they did cover walkways and such, paint was everywhere splattered on our landscape, sidewalks and our front walkway, which is stamped concrete. They were here for three days and it progressively got worse, the mess was horrible, not only the paint but each evening after they would leave I was picking up their lunch trash out of my planters, cans, coffee cups. I found large pieces of their cardboard in our pond. I called the owner, he apologized and said he'd take care of it, he came over and scraped a few drops of paint off the front walkway. My husband had him come back after they finished because, they did not scrape the old paint off of the wood trim they just painted over it, you can see where the old paint was, the owner, also, said in the bid said that they would caulk and/or repair and cracks or seams. When my husband asked him about it, we'd got a yeah yeah, nothing done about it. On top of all of that he was totally wrong on his bid, he had to have more paint delivered and charged us for a change order that we didn't even know about. It was a $700 difference. Which we split with him. He came back and fixed a few cracks. We had waited a lot years to paint our home, we were very excited to have this done, overtime,when we did any yard work this summer, we would get angry, we would find more paint on bushed plants trees and boulders. I'm talking entire bushes covered in paint, boulders around our yard splattered completely. This was not a good job at all!

They were always on time, did a great job of painting the house. The estimate was a good price and it matched the final bill. Did a quality job, always cleaned up and left the place spotless. I would highly recommend Vandermark & Son Painting to anyone.

If I could give Vandermark & Sons Painting an A+++++ I certainly would. Kirk and his team have painted two of our homes, and a large barn, and their work is absolutely amazing! His painters have been with him for many years, which speaks volumes about the type of person Kirk is - professional, honest and a man of his word. Our painters fully prepped our homes and used the highest quality products to finish the job, they worked long hours and always showed up on time. I've rarely seen people work so hard. Vandermark & Sons Painting was suggested to me by a friend, and, after using them, and as a Realtor in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area, would not recommend anyone else to my clients. Many of my clients have used Vandermark & Sons for their jobs and have nothing but praise for the work done.

WOW, the a ratings I read were truly correct. From the initial contact thru work done--all punctual and professional. Kept us informed every step (we needed more paint because of the poor contractor grade paint on our fairly new home). Really a nice job--very particular that it all was done well.

Great. Kirk helped me decide what solid stain would look the best, including getting several samples and applying it in a small section. They carefully prepared the deck, sanding its entirety. Applied 2 coats and it looks great. The work was timely, excellent work, cleanup was thorough.

I am very pleased with the work done by Kirk and his crew. These guys are professional and take pride in doing the job right. I was consulted about the work and the various painting to be done, and kept notified of the work schedule throughout the job (some time changes were necessary due to inclement weather). The company did a great job of prepping and cleanup, leaving my house and yard looking terrific. I highly recommend Vandermark & Son!
