helped us with selecting colors by painting small sections with choices my wife selected. power washed, scraped and sanded the existing finish and applied two coats of premium exterior paint. repaired front door finish and applied special color wife selected. the crew was very professional protecting paved areas and decks. they cleaned up as they finished each area. one neighbor watched them working and questioned us about the service, they're getting quotes for having paint their houe also.

Kirk was very reliable and kept his time commitment. He was flexible, as the job had extra components which I had mistakenly not mentioned prior to his coming to give the bid and do the work but he didn't skip a beat, really hustled, and got the job done, and done well. Pricing very reasonable for the circumstances and competitive with other painters I have used.

I also had another recommended Angie list painter give me a quote which was actually $500.00 more then Vandermark and Son just for painting the house only!

The job went really well. They did a good job. I don't remember the price of their work but it was better than the other ones.

It was very good. They are good painters. They called on time and followed up as needed. He followed up on his bid in a timely manner. Great crew. They cleaned up well as needed.

The crew was always on time, professional, and did a great job, with attention to detail and clean-up. My house had over 15 different colors used, five different shades of white. With a lot of color, and finishes, flat, eggshell, etc. Kirk and his crew always confirmed they were putting the right paint in the right room, cabinet and trim. When is came to the outside painting, they did a great job in the prep, calking and finishing -- with not as much as a drop of paint on brick, sidewalks or decks.

He did a great job on the room (which had an angled ceiling that went quite high on one side) and he cleaned up nicely afterwards. He even referred me to his wife Amy for her housecleaning services, which we happily use to this day. I would definitely use Vandermark & Son Painting again in the future.

On time and on budget. This is the second time I have used them, and both experiences went very well.

We hired Kirk and his crew based on the agreement that he would be able to complete our garage floor, painting the inside of the house and wainscot in the dining room by our move-in date. I was honest with him that we hired him based on timing. He was kind enough to be competitive with the pricing and that's where the service level I expected ended. He was disorganized, late with completion, the job is sloppy (for example: they didn't paint the inside of the window sills- because they didn't think to open the shutters- still not done) and over all I wish I had gone with the other company. It might have taken a week longer but it would be done right. Even the wainscot, which he brought another contractor in to complete, is cut short on one of the outlets and I'm left with an open gap. The only shining star is the garage floor. The epoxy is beautiful. That earned this rating a D, instead of an overall F.

We used Vandermark & Son Painting over the summer to paint the exterior of our home and I was so impressed with their service that I used them again to paint my home's interior. Kirk Vandermark was absolutely fantastic to work with. He helped us choose colors and he walked us through all the logogistics of the project. His crew was great. They were courteous, helpful & neat. They were very prompt with their starting time each day and were very trustworthy in my home. Going through an interior painting project is almost like moving with all the funiture & 'stuff' that needs to be moved however Kirk & his crew made it very easy for us. The actual painting was top notch and they took care of all the drywall repair work. We used 2 different colors and we are very pleased with the results. They were also very good with the clean up each day and at the end of the project. They also did some exterior fence painting that also turned out perfect. I would definitely use Vandermark & Son Painting again.

The owner Kirk came to estimate on Labor Day, that was the only day I off from work and also he had time to come. 2 day later, I got the quote already. Even he has 6 projects going on and still got my house done in one week which was 7 days including Saturday and Sunday. His workers were very responsible for the job and Kirk had the Sani-Hut for them. Kirk even patched and did a few touch up work inside the house.I am very pleased their work.

Called Kirk for an estimate, he returned the call promptly. Quickly gave me an estimate. Set a start date and stuck to it. His crew was professional and thorough including clean up. We are extremely pleased with their work and would certainly recommend them.

Very well, really glad he brought the paint samples for me to try before huge mistakes were made. He and his crew did a good job and were a pleasure to work with.

Overall completed job looks good. Kirk (owner) and his guys are laid back and easy to work with., however, I had to stay on top of them in a couple areas. My job was quoted as a one week job. It took two, including Saturdays. Most days there was only one guy and a few of those days he was only there 1/2 day. He said he was working on another site too. Monday and Tuesday of the second week, no one showed up. I called Kirk to find out what was up and he said one was sick and another one had car problems. I had to call him. He didn't call me first. I had them replace a section of panel (in the original quote) and the worker did not line up the pattern with the existing pieces. I had to have Kirk come over and he agreed to get another new piece and hang it correctly. The prep and caulk did not go as I expected. They prepped, caulked, painted in sections, not totally prepped and caulked before they started to paint. I came home one day to find the front of the house painted and saw air/gaps between the horizontal siding pieces. I had to call Kirk to come over and he said to caulk that much it would be an additional cost. I paid an additional $250 for the caulking and another coat of paint. The original quote just said prep, caulk. It was not specific. I suggest you get VERY specific with any contractor you use and get it in writing. They took all the outdoor lighting fixtures down so they could paint. They put them all back up, but did not seal them with a silicone seal. I brought that up to Kirk and he said I had to do that. Again, try to ask about every aspect of the job before they start.

Went great, Kirk and his team had never used the Rustoleum Restore before. He took the time to research and learn about the application. Had a few bumps in the road but he and his team made it right. The stain job on the deck cover and side railing look beautiful. All looks wonderful and Kirk and his team were so nice to work with. We are very happy and will use Vandermark Painting again.

Vandermark & Son Painting did an exceptional job on my house. The cost included some extensive stucco repair, wooden stairs refinishing and some fence painting plus all materials. Kirk was exceptional with his communication from the quote to the final inspection. He and his crew was outstanding both in the quality of their work but also in their friendliness & professionalism. The site was kept very clean throughout the several day project and the final cleanup was great. They were very happy to work around the schedules of both my wife (night shift) and me (day shift). I am very satisfied with their work and I have already scheduled interior painting for later this year. I highly reccomend Vandermark & Son Painting.

My home was built in 1990, is about 1975 sq. ft., a 2-story, and I am the original owner. The home exterior had only been repainted one time since it was built, so it was in great need of painting - especially the trim, which was incredilby dry and peeling. Kirk was extremely friendly, with a positive attitude - a joy with whom to work. And his 2 helpers were also friendly, smiling, and noticeably enjoyed their work. They have been with Kirk for a long time, which speaks for itself. Kirk did most of the prep work himself, which allowed him to identify problem areas, and be directly aware of what was needed. The quality started with all the preparation, which created a good foundation for the work that followed. The windows, fixtures, and surrounding ground areas were well protected. I would not have known that a satin finish could be used on a house, until it was explained that it will hold up longer, take the elements better, and be easier to clean. It is absolutely beautiful. When my home was finished, it was the talk of the neighborhood. All my neighbors, and anyone walking by, raved about the work. Many neighbors stopped to get one of Kirk's business cards. Kirk does other work as well, including interior painting, drywall work, and popcorn ceiling removal - which is best done during months that he is not busy with the outdoor work. I already have plans for multiple future indoor projects for him.

I was very satisfied with the work done by Kirk and his team. I would definitely hire them again. A friend has already scheduled them to work on her home.

I met with Kirk Vandermark two weeks earlier to obtain an estimate of the work I wanted done. He did request a small deposit at the conclusion of our agreement and though we had one reschedule, it wasn't a problem. Kirk arrived at the home just slightly earlier than the set time. His crew was thorough and meticulous and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had even painted some of the borders along the cabinets and a garage shelf. I was very impressed with his honesty, proficiency and professionalism and would gladly recommend Vandermark & Son Painting to others.
