MORIN CHIMNEY SWEEP LLC

We used Morin to repair our firebox and chimney prior to selling out house. They came out and did the required repairs however during the new owner's inspection of the house they found cracks in the firebox mortar in some cases exactly the same cracks where they were repaired by Morin. My realtor tried to contact them to ask that they go and repair their repair to make it right for the new owners but we have yet to hear from anyone from Morin. We had this repaired prior to putting the house up for sale so it wouldn't be an issue on the inspection but it turns out it is.

Arrived on time and did a thorough job. Protected surrounding area and cleaned up after job was done.

No issues with the inspection. No follow up to schedule "needed" (according to them) repairs. Very unhappy with overall experience.

I think he gets pretty good reviews but he did something that really irritated us. We're not going to use him anymore. I needed some other handyman work done surrounding the house and he said he had a handyman service and he also did that. He gave us his phone number and his card and after inspecting some of the things he said, yeah, we need to do that. I said, well, let's do that but he never responded to my phone calls or my emails to get the work done. His chimney sweep side of things is really good. But I'd give him an 'F' for his handyman work.

Sam Morin was on time and did the necessary procedure to protect my floor and other areas. I will be using him again. I was very satisfied.

Robert was a most professional young man who removed a row of bricks and rebuilt the crown. He inspected the fireplace and fixed some issues as well. He also returned a week later to inspect the work. I felt very confident in his work and appreciated his demeanor.

I was very impressed with the customer service and professionalism of this company. Robert arrived 10 min early for our appointment. He did an excellent job of cleaning my chimney and protecting my carpet and furniture. He also noticed some areas that needed minor repair and provided me with some recommendations regarding those areas. I would highly recommend this company and I would certainly utilize their services in the future.

Very happy with service and professionalism. Price resonable. They answered all questions, provided a clean work enviorment while cleaning the chimney, and cleaned area afterward. I would difinitetly use there services again and recommend them to family and friends.

I have used these guys for 15 years, the guy who usually comes had retired so I got the owners son. He apparently tried to clean chimney and came in the house and vacuumed out my stove. He did not take the stovepipe apart like is usually done because he said he had good brushes? And I have a 90 degree angle. When he came with receipt he said my chimney had creosote so bad it was a fire hazard and it could not really be cleaned. The other guy never told me it was really bad only that I was getting creosote and I should use the liquid spray they tried to sell me. I was really upset and worried about my chimney. He said they sold stoves and brought me a brochure and took some pictures and said he would talk to his Dad (the owner) about how best to install a new stove and that his Dad would call me in a couple of days. I never heard from anyone. I called about 3-4 weeks later as I was concerned about the safety of using my stove. The owners wife said he would call me later that day. Well, 3 days later he did call and explain to me about what they would do to install new stove and chimney. He was very informative. He said he would talk to his son about the particulars and call me back with pricing etc. That was 4 months ago. He never called me back. They charged me the full price of a cleaning but he could not really clean the chimney??? A rip-off. I'm not happy with the customer service of these people anymore, especially since I was a regular customer for years. Will not call them ever again.

Fred was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and does a great job. We have been using his service for years and will continue to do so.

Fred provides a great service. He is very thorough, and we are always confident that our pellet stove is ready to go when the heating season starts. Since the pellet stove is our primary heating source, being able to rely on the condition of the stove is very important. We have been using Fred for 10 years and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended!

Fred, the owner of the company called us in the evening to find out exactly what our pellet stove was doing. We explained what the problem was, and he knew over the phone what part(s) he would need to fix it. So he scheduled an appt, showed up on time, and was very personable and professional at the same time, letting us know exactly what he was doing. Before we talked to Fred, we planned to replace our pellet stove since we were unable to find anyone that could fix it right. Fred is the guy if you want your pellet stove fixed the right way, it has never run better since we bought our house. His pricing is very reasonable as well. I would recommend this company to anyone, anytime.

Good/responsive/honest. Had them come to clean and inspect chimney of a house we bought. They advised us when they arrived that we didn't need a clean as it was in pretty good shape; they vacuumed a little bit, and didn't charge for the cleaning. They performed the inspection as requested. They were helpful with all questions we had; were clean, courteous, and professional. Will use again when needed.
