Mattress Land - Reno

I bought a beauty rest plush mattress set on Oct 9th 2013. I tried out the one in the show room and it was so comfortable. I have nerve pain in my legs and need a soft bed. They delivered my bed on Oct 19th and when I sat on it, it was so hard. I tried sleeping on it but woke to pain in my legs and back. I called the store on Oct 20th and spoke to the salesman that had sold it to me. I explained how hard it was and compared model numbers. He said the bed had to be broken in. On Oct 21st I called and spoke to the Manager and was informed that they could not help me until I had owned the bed for 30 days. He said the bed needed to be broken in. I had never been told that I was going to have to break in a plush bed, had I known it was going to be this hard I would have never have bought the bed. I paid $1289.46 for this bed and can't use it. Since he would not help me I filed a complaint with the BBB on 10/23/13. The headquarters for Mattress Land contacted me and waived the 30 days to exchange the bed. The manager of the store contacted me over the weekend and told me about a bed that he felt would work for me. He said since it was fairly new to the store that it should feel pretty much the same as a new one. I went to the store and tried it and it was a lot softer. so I exchanged what I had for this new Sealy Pismo Beach EPT PL pillow top. It is now Dec 2013 and the pillow top is flattened and the bed is no longer soft so I have ordered a memory foam mattress topper to put on it so I can sleep without pain. Buyer beware, many salesmen will not tell you about the break in period on a mattress.

Took measurements of old mattress and went to Mattress Land. Upon entering the store we were met by Mr. Dave Moffa, manager of store. Discussed several options and Mr. Moffa was very knowledgeable concerning the different types of mattresses being offered today. We talked about issues of any disabilities we might have at our ages. Mr. Moffa let us test out three mattresses to see what we would like in sleeping comfort. Ordered a middle firmness mattress. We set up a date to have the mattress delivered and the removal of the old mattress. Date was set and the arrival time was between 1:00 and 4:00PM. The delivery team showed up between those hours, installed the new mattress and removed the old. All of our expectations were met and am looking forward to a good nights sleep this evening. Amazing experience and would highly recommend Mattress Land.
