Little City Appliance Repair

John arrived on time and brought a replacement defrost hose in case that was the problem but after taking it all apart, he said the hose was clogged (with pine nuts!) and didn't need to be replaced. He was very efficient and explained everything as he went along. The price was very fair and I would call Little City again should I ever need any appliance repaired.

John was at our house 2 days after I called. He was prompt, courteous, and very professional. The day before he came my husband called him to say he had cleaned out an awful lot of lint in the dryer and felt there maybe a hole in the aluminum hose that leads to the exhaust. John said he would replace it if needed and that he had all the parts in his van so the repair would take place that day. (When my husband called John concerning the hose John had asked for the model number to our dryer so that the repair would be immediate. What a relief!)

After looking at reviews called Little City (Derek) to fix a bothed self-repair. Derek arrived at the time promised and quickly diagnosed the problem and corrected it. As he was working he clearly described the problem and the repair needed.

Derek was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. He explained the problem and fixed it.

I explained I thought it was the rollers squeaking and Derek had me text him the model number so he could send out the right parts. John was on time, took the dryer apart and, after vacuuming out a ton of sand and pet hair, discovered the idler pulley was shot. He replaced the part, vacuumed a few more places (I was appalled at how bad it was!), closed it up and it works like new! I will definitely call on Little City again.

This is the second time we had him repair our appliances and will continue to use Little City. We had sent a pic of the dishwasher to him, showing the issue. Had a phone call explaining the issue, so he was able to order the parts from that. He is very nice, does good work at reasonable prices. Based on this, I can go without the expensive maintenance contracts and pay as needed with Little City. It will save money unless I have a major breakdown, at which point it is probably time for a new unit.

Classy business. Since he couldn't meet my schedule in a time manner, he referred me to someone who could and who provided excellent service. My repair was taken care of within the day. I'll always give Little City a first shot. Their price was the best I found, but the referral was very close in price.

My daughter woke up to a smoke filled kitchen and a fire could have ensued. GE service was called and it would take them a week to respond. LCAP was called and they were scheduled to come later the same day; however, they called back a made an earlier appointment and were finished before noon the same day. That kept us from having to move the food out and back in after the repair.

I have already referred him to several people.

Fixed the problem and told me how to maintain the refrigerator (something the retailer/installer did not).

The tenant in one of my rental properties notified me that the dishwasher was working properly, and as a result the dishes weren't getting cleaned. He believed the problem stemmed from a broker propeller at the bottom of the dishwasher. My regular plumber isn't an appliance repair person, so I had to find someone who was. I looked immediately to Angie's list because of previous good results in finding good businesses. I found Little City Appliance repair service which had good recommendations from previous customers. I called the phone number and Derek answered the phone right away. It was great not having to leave a message and wait for a call back. I described the problem to Derek and gave him the address of the rental property and the phone number of my tenant so the two could schedule a day and time. Derek showed up as scheduled and repaired the problem same day. I will definitely use Derek again for any future appliance repairs on my own property and for my rental properties.

My dryer is working, and my wife is happy. I think that sums it up.

Couldn't be more pleased

I contacted Derek on a Monday, and scheduled for after work on Wednesday (4:30). Derek was punctual, and I was late by about 15 minutes. He was friendly and courteous and came in and got right to work performing a diagnostic on my front loading LG washer. He indicated that the sound it was making was either the bearing or the motor, but believed it was the bearing. He made some calls and found that the bearing ws not replaceable, since it was connected to the drum. He did some additional testing, and worked on the drains, and found a huge clog in the drain. he also found sand, which made him think that the motor was experiencing nosie because of it. Bottom line, he told me the washer was not worth repairing, and suggested I continue to use it until it died. repairs would cost more than the washer was worth. He quickly switched out the cord, and even connected the vent for me. Derek was at my house for 3 hours, doing some additional maintenance, and charged me his trip charge only - $60.00. He explained he worked for the big appliance repair contractor (you know them by their catalog and their big department stores), and got tired of seeing clients ripped off, so he has started his own company. He was beyond honest, and explained how everything worked. My expectations were far exceeded with his work ethic, and decency. He could have charged me hundreds to replace the motor or the bearing with the drum. I would call him for any appliance repair. He doesn't overbook appts, works hard to earn your repeat business, and your reference to your friends and family. I am confident he will do it right, and save me money on any work I have for him.
