Lance did a wonderful job on interior prepping and painting for my kitchen and large livingroom. He suggested color options that complimented the open floor plan and completed the work professionally and promptly. While he was there, I asked if he could look at finishing my attic and framing a bathroom in the daylight basement. He took the time to review each area and discuss my expectations. He subsequently completed those additional jobs and I was amazed at how thorough and detail oriented he was, even with the bathroom rough framing I requested. I received compliments on the painting and some envy from friends who saw the great and much more useable attic I now had.

We contacted him for an addition/remodel. He met with us and turned us onto a designer to get the plans prepared. The designer was great and inexpensive. However, the plans were submitted to Kirby and we received no response. We called him after not having heard from him for a few months. He stated that he wasn't bidding the job. He never called to tell us that and never gave a reason as to why. A little professional courtesy and communication would have been nice.

Mr. Kirby responded promptly to my inquiry and scheduled a time to come to my home to provide an estimate. He was knowledgable, professional, and courteous. He provided a written estimate, and, after accepting his proposal, he moved forward with scheduling in a timely fashion. He completed the work within the time frame he gave. I would not hesitate to use his services again in the future.

Kirby is a true professional. It's rare to find a service provider who is so low-key, yet punctual and thorough. Kirby doesn't get excited about stuff-- he just gets it done. I was really impressed because there were quite a few little details that came up and Kirby just made sure they were all taken care of without trying to nickel-and-dime me. He also has a good eye for detail and picking sub-contractors. Although I've only used him for one house (my own)... Kirby strikes me as the type of guy you'd want to use if you were rehabbing rental houses, because he's responsible and you could point him at a project without worrying about it getting screwed up nor having to micromanage the project. But at the same time, he would be fine working on higher end homes, too. I knew I hired the right guy, when: After signing the contract, I peeked into his truck's back window and looked at the back seat of his Ford Crew-Cab: It was immaculate. And not surprising: So was the job site (our house) after he finished. [I think the little details tell a lot!]
