Jane Shadie is very pleasant and easy to work with. She is professional without being detached and "businesslike" in the negative sense. We only met in person once, as I was dealing with her from a distance. My initial contact was by telephone. I described my requirements and asked her if it was possible to find what I was seeking in my price range. She responded positively and we collaborated to build a list of properties for her to show on my single day visit to Reno. Before leaving Reno, I made an offer on one house and kept a couple of contingent bids in mind in case that one was not accepted. It turned out that the seller of the first house I selected accepted my offer. The remainder of the deal was managed by telephone, Internet and fax. I was not even present at the closing. Ms. Shadie kept me informed and, acting as my agent, did those things I was unable to do, owing to my absence. The escrow closed one day ahead of schedule. Because of personal obligations, I took possession of the property a few weeks before I was able to move in. The property was not in perfect condition but I knew all the defects before I bought, so there were no unpleasant surprises. I am very happy with my house and completely satisfied with Jane Shadie's performance in every regard. I am pleased to recommend her without reservation.
