Fantastic job....in design, quality, beauty of plants and for the overall concept that Joe came up with. Aesthetically very pleasing in how Joe blended everything into our existing house colors and chose plants/shrubs/trees that met our preferences. Just an outstanding job using very responsible workers. Great quality control.

Contact with company representative was difficult to achieve. Owner and irrigation crew were friendly and efficient. Provided repairs with minimal disruption.

I simply can't say enough good things about Hillside. The owner, Joe, came out a couple of times to meet with us before giving us his proposal. We feel he really listened to what we wanted in a backyard. He gave us a lot of ideas and options about placement and styles of water features, fire pits/rocks, trees and plants, etc.. We decided on a waterfall and a fire rock with surrounding boulders. His foreman, Jacob, did an incredible job of building a waterfall with three layers of falls. He also installed lighting in it. It looks, and sounds, incredible. The fire rock is also really incredible. We selected it from several large boulders Joe had. He then had it carved out and fitted with burners, etc.. to make it a fire pit. He surrounded it with other large boulders for seating. Jacob and his crew did such an awesome job for us. They were very punctual, organized, got right to work and really knew what they were doing. Everything went very smoothly. They even cleaned up the worksite every day at the end of the workday to make it look as neat as possible during the construction process. Now that's being professional! Now we have a backyard that looks like something out of a magazine!

Joe Colacurcio and his very capable crew created the most beautiful back yard we could have imagined. He turned dirt and weeds into a peaceful, stunning oasis full of healthy plant life and trees. The rock water feature his foreman Jacob built is gorgeous and makes the most wonderful sound, and the size and variety of trees and plants Joe chose are amazing. We are so pleased with the results and so thankful we chose Hillside Landscaping. They care about quality, and best of all, they provide a lifetime guarantee on all of their work and plantings. Joe is a great guy who takes a personal interest in giving his clients the best possible outcome. He will provide ongoing oversight and maintenance of our plants and trees, and we look forward to having him improve the landscaping of our front yard.

Their quote included lawn cutting and was from mid-August to the end of the season. They wanted over $2,700.00 for what - a couple of months work. Is he crazy? Even the person who referred Hillside to me thinks it is an outrageous quote. Obviously, I didn't hire them.

It was proposed at $2750 and it didn't take as long as they thought so they only charged us $1850. They also cleaned up all of the mud and dirt that slid onto our driveway and our yard. They did a great job on the trenching, and were honest and very kind.

Hillside was doing some landscaping for my next door neighbor. I talked to Joe on 7/17/14 when he was working next door. He gave me a bid to trim the 3 large trees in my front yard. His bid was $350 but he was very emphatic that it would most likely be less than that. He said the "runners" needed trimmed off the trees and if it took longer to trim the trees, that might keep the price from dropping. (I had a note pad with me and wrote down the info. I also gave him a card with my name and phone number on it. On 7/19/14, my lawn person trimmed off all of the "runners" from the front yard trees, so knew that work did not have to be done during the trimming. Joe said they would be back next door the following week (7/21-25) and would probably be able to trim the trees then. On 7/21 and 22, I left a message on the office phone 775-745-6765 to try to get a date when the work would be done. Neither call was returned. On 7/23 found their website and left a message there. On 7/24, Joe finally called from his cell number (not listed on his card) and said he had been very busy and apologized for the delay. He said he would try to get by the following week (7/29-8/1). After hanging up, I realized that I was not going to be around much the week of 7/29-8/1, especially without a specific day or time. I left a message that we were going to be out of town and I did not want anyone on the property when I was not here and would call when I got back to set up a date for the work to be done. (That was easier than trying to tell when I might be around.) Again, no return call. I called Joe again on 7/25 and told him to hold off on the tree trimming because I had an unforeseen expenses that required I use the tree trimming money for it. Once again, no return call. Around noonish on 7/29, my significant other came home and noted the guys in the yard trimming the trees. We had not discussed the tree matters so he just figured this was something I had scheduled. I found Joe's cell number that he had used for his call on 7/24 and reached him. He said that he had not received any messages on the office number (or perhaps had not checked for any messages). I was extremely upset that he had come onto the property and done the work with no one home. I asked him what the final cost was and he said $450. I reminded him that he had quoted $350 and told me that it would more than likely be less than that. He then stated that he had not quoted that amount and I must have been mistaken. I reminded him that I had a note pad and was writing down the info. He then said very rudely that he wasn't going to argue with me about the cost and would send a bill for $350. I do not plan to use Hillside again and I only hope that my situation was not something that happens regularly when dealing with them. I do not consider Hillside or the owner Joe to be very professional to deal with.

Since we built our house we have had Hillside do all of our outdoor projects for our home. We have a large lot and have had him do the complete landscape in several phases including a paver patio and most recently a paver stone driveway. The variety of plants and design he comes up with are exceptional; we know that no one will have a yard design that looks like ours. His vision is what we especially like; we usually let him come up with the design and let him run with it. All of his crew are friendly and polite as well as very knowledgeable. Although pricing is probably a little higher than most, you are getting the best quality and service available. You can't go wrong with these guys!

Great. These guys work hard and fast it only took 4 days and it's done. People Have stopped and asked who did our yard. Great people to work with.
