Description of Work: Very competent and professional, but all charges for service have been high. For example, replacement of toilet flush mechanism with kit from manufacturer was more than $500, replacement of the anode rod in the water heater was $239 with a part which costs $65 from plumbing supply.

Description of Work: We purchased an "Angie's list" deal for $76.00 to video scope 100 feet of sewer line. When they came out to do the scoping video, they said they could not perform the service due to the line being clogged. So in actuality the service was not performed but I was not given a refund. We contacted several other plumbing companies who had no problem scoping the sewer pipe and provided us with the video.

Description of Work: We live in a 1979 manufactured home with old plumbing. We have not been able to fix the insanely heavy leak in the guest shower or get any type of water pressure in it. One home improvement and repair person told us we needed to replace the entire plumbing in the shower. We held off on that until I read the reviews on Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I also used the $49 coupon. Keith determined that the divert needed an adjustment. He also saw debris clogging the new shower head. He checked out our water heater (free) and brought a rod covered with dirt and scum. He explained we could just replace the rod or consider a new water heater (this one was 25 years old and rotting underneath). Without any pressure, we asked to see what his company offered, made our decision, and the equipment was installed within 3 hours. Keith is an outstanding representative of this company. Everything about him says professional, knowledgeable, and customer-oriented.

+ 1 moreKeith and Bobby spent two days digging a trench and installing a new water main line. I had an obvious leak with water pooling in the yard. I had an extra long run through a lot of rocks (over 130 feet) so the price seems justified. The boys said it was one of the toughest runs they've ever done. The poly tubing was installed inside a second PVC pipe for extra protection and the whole line has a 25 year warranty. The quote covered from the meter to the house's cut off valve. After digging, Keith recommended running new polyline into the house. He had assumed there would be copper to the valve and there wasn't. There was also no pressure regulator, which I had installed. That and a valve and stub for sprinklers bumped the price from about $8000 to $9000. Expensive, but not unexpected. Otherwise, the guys were friendly, worked hard, stayed busy and made a good effort to clean up the yard afterwards.

Keith diagnosed the problem he stated I would need a new water heater within a couple of hours Keith had a new heater for me he was very professional and put up with all questions as he was installing my new water heater. I have lived in NV since 2001 and have never had such great customer as I have got with Ben Franklin and Keith!!! Future problems I know who I will call!!! You guys rock!!!!!

+ 0 moreI called Ben Franklin Plumbing on the weekend of 3/1/2014. An appointment for service was set up for 3/4/2014 between the hours of 8am and 12 noon. I was contacted by the plumbing schedulers and informed the plumber was delayed and would not arrive between the scheduled hours. The appointment was rescheduled to Tuesday between the hours of 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The plumber did not show up and I was not notified by scheduling. At about 5:00 pm on the same day I canceled the request for service. Ben Franklin advertises their service as the "Punctual Plumber." This resulted in 8 hours of no show.

The owner of the company, Mark, came by and immediately fixed all of the problems. What Mark did was absolutely amazing and all problems have been fixed and I am so grateful for the quick response. I have changed my opinion of the quality of the work and the outstanding response to the problem. Now I can highly recommend Ben Franklin and will more than likely us the service again. He detected a potential serious problem, expressing surprise that the water heater had lasted so long - equivalent to two lifetimes of an average water heater. I decided it was time to install a new water heater with a more efficient gas-burning system and safety code upgrades.

The technician arrived on time, in professional uniform, was curtious, clean, and completed the repairs on the first visit. I was impressed! So, of course Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was my only choice to fix a frozen pipe; on a Sunday morning! Their standard of excellence is far above any plumber I've ever worked with. They are detailed, put the customer at ease, and get the job completed right; the first time. How refreshing.
