+ 6 moreI am thrilled with the quality of work that was done in my remodel. Scott was very responsive and the sub contractors did a wonderful job. Only issue was delay in painting while trying to schedule painter because they were so busy. It delayed some of the project. However, the painting job of the cabinet was excellent and worth the wait.!! I would definitely refer Ceto Builders. Yvonne Riggan

+ 10 moreCeto Builders is a small Reno company. They have a team of external contractors - all who do really good work. This saves trying to find different trades people for different jobs. You know that they will get the right person for the job. The downside is that they are often busy, so there can be delays. Scott at Ceto is all about making sure the job is done correctly. We are remodelling a 2400sq ft condo and have used Ceto for all of it. We have been very happy with the work done and will use them again.

In fact, we are so happy with the work that we are having Scott and his team perform a major remodel of our house early in 2019. We are adding a second floor to the house and doubling its size. We have every confidence the work will be performed to the highest standards.
Description of Work: Windows replaced and French Doors installed. We also had a wall removed and electrical modified. Lastly we had a tankless water heater and gas lines installed. Plus other small jobs done.

+ 3 moreWe chose Ceto Builders because the owner and his assistant do the majority of the work themselves. They did an outstanding job. All sub-contractors they used were excellent as well. Everyone was respectful of our home and our schedule. The work was completed as promised, on time and on budget. It just was overall a very positive experience and we would not hesitate to hire them again.

Scott was always great about letting us know when they would be arriving, how the project was progressing, and keeping us informed every step of the way. We were very happy with all the sub-contractors Scott used also. Our daughter was graduating from the University of Nevada Reno and he made sure we met our goal of being able to use that new room for her graduation party at our home. We highly recommend CETO Builders.
Description of Work: We needed a second story room addition. It was about 400 square feet and involved construction, painting, electrical work, specialty windows, stucco work, and new floor supports.

+ 2 moreScott was very professional and gave excellent advice to the design throughout the remodel. Quality people tend to be busy and Scott had to juggle several other projects at once. This is not unusual. He communicated well in advance when he would come by and showed up on time. I made a couple of design changes and he was able to accommodate them without an interruption in schedule. I would choose CETO again for another project.

+ 11 moreBoth projects were quality work! We were very happy with the first project - It's amazing how well they were able to match the wood on the new kitchen island with the existing cabinet color. It looks great and gives us the open-concept we were wanting. Our large addition is the envy of the block! It doesn't look like an addition as many do. Everything matches perfectly. You'd never know the whole house wasn't built all at once. We LOVE the interior which includes a new master bedroom, bath, game room and den. It's beautifully done. Scott and his team are professional, leave the house orderly when they finish for the day and make sure that we have exactly what we want. One of the things I like best is that they are very good about staying in contact. That's super-important to me! Another truly important fact is that Scott doesn't waste our money. He's very good about making sure we get what we want but is always quick to suggest ways that we might be able to save a buck or two. I will never hire anyone else to do remodeling/construction work in our home. Ceto Builders is friendly, fair, timely and responsive.
Description of Work: We've had Ceto Builders do two fairly large projects for us - and we have them busy on a third right now. The first project was removal of a pantry and replacement with a large kitchen Island. The second project was the conversion of a three-car garage (plus an additional 200 sq. feet) into living space, which nearly doubled the square footage of our home and the addition of a four-car garage.

+ 9 moreAll the work Scott has done, and is doing for me now, is excellent. He communicates every step of the way, has a good temperament (I've had some contractors who are grumpy) and everything turns out like I expect it to. I've had no surprises or disappointments with his work or any of this subcontractors. He doesn't promise what he can't deliver - I guess that makes him honest and transparent. He services his work too. Once Scott was at my house, don't remember why, and I mentioned that my back door was sticking. He fixed it - and this was years after he had installed it. Things like that made him the logical selection to do my latest project. We just have a good working relationship. That's important to me.
Description of Work: Scott remodeled my kitchen, bath, closets and floors in my 1951 home. That was over 5 years ago. He is now building me an 240 sq ft addition.

He stated he just found my message, would be too busy to help but to contact him in future if needed. Seriously? Why would I even consider contacting this business again, knowing it would take 17 days to get a response! He could be one of the best in the area, but will never know as a prompt return call wasn't a priority. Gave a grade of "D" at least he did call back in the same month.

CETO Builders associates with a small select set of very good subcontractors who delivery quality services. The latest job that CETO Builders completed for us was a total kitchen and bathroom renovation with a cost exceeding $100,000. Their estimates were fair and the finished contract was within budget save for a change order. Scott (the owner) is an experienced craftsman with many years of contracting experience in the Reno area. He takes customer satisfaction very seriously and will do anything to make the customer happy.

Scott and team provided thoughtful suggestions regarding tile choices, stain colors, etc. At this moment, we are working with Scott and his team to start a HUGE kitchen renovation. With such a large job, I would not trust any other contractor.
Description of Work: Scott and his team have been the sole contractors assisting us with an entire home renovation - room by room. To date, his team has completely renovated our living room, main living space, and office, and we plan to start the kitchen remodel in the next 60 days. We could not be happier with his professionalism and quality of work. It also helps that his prices are comparable to other estimates we've received.

Scott is among the best I have seen. The true character of a contractor is when changes or problems occur on a project, as they always do, and Scott was able to handle this without additional problems or change-orders to the project. All the work was completed to our satisfaction and on-time. If you need a contractor Scott should be your choice. If I need additional projects Scott is my go to contractor.
Description of Work: -Remove kitchen appliances and disconnect plumbing. Demo back splash, counter tops and kitchen cabinetry. -Provide and install kitchen cabinetry. -Provide and install a chase for floor vent in toe kick at cabinetry. -Fabricate and install solid surface counter tops at new cabinetry. This includes cutout and polish for (2) under mount sinks. -Install back splash at kitchen. Tile to be straight set with accent diagonal squares. Tile a picture frame behind cook top Tile inside frame with 2”x 2” accent tile pieces. -Install range hood and duct. Hook up flue to existing flue pipe. -Install dishwasher, cook top, microwave, and oven, re-install fridge. -Set plumbing finish at kitchen sinks. -Move living room floor register approximately 6'. -Demo flooring at entry, closet, living room, kitchen, hall and dining room. -Install dedicated circuit for microwave from electrical panel. -Relocate existing 240 circuit from existing oven area to new area. -Add 20A circuit for proposed dishwasher and garbage disposal at island. -Provide and install 12' lineal L.E.D at (4) locations. -Remove and replace all switches and outlets in kitchen with white and stainless steel trim. -Remove telephone jack in kitchen, junction under house to retain functionality. -Provide and install (1) G.F.C.I outlets on kitchen island. -Provide and install air switch in island for garbage disposal. -Provide and install (9) 4” L.E.D can lights in kitchen (proposed layout to avoid skylight and work over island). -Provide and install (2) 4” L.E.D can lights in hallway. - -Move nook chandelier j-box to center of table. -Add dedicated 20A circuit to closet next to fireplace, install quad outlet. -Install 2” pipe from back of closet to center of fireplace mantle. + 8 moreScott was courteous and professional as were all of his employees. First project was the indoor remodeling and I liked his work so much I asked him back the following spring to build a deck. His woodworking is pristine. All work was timely and within budget. Scott is upfront and honest about all costs. The initial quote is what I paid. Plus, he tries to recycle old cabinets and other odds and ends from the project and donates to Habitat for Humanity. I would definitely use him again and have recommended him to friends.
Description of Work: Finish basement with drywall, flooring and paint. Remodel kitchen including new butcher board counter tops, refinishing vintage cabinets, and new flooring. Bathroom light fixtures, cabinetry and tile paint. Built new full size deck.

I used him for the remodel of my home when I initially purchased it. Ceto builders was amazing. Scott's crew came in and did a fantastic job. I had used other contractors in the past, however after a friend recommended Ceto builders I have never looked back. Scott's work has always surpassed all my expectations. I highly recommend using Ceto Builders to everyone and anyone who expects nothing but the best.
Description of Work: He repaired shower handles, replaced toilet flapper and filled valve, fixed bathroom cold side handles, replaced thermostat heater, replaced screen door by kitchen.

+ -1 moreWe bought a house that had the people had started doing work inside that didn't complete it, so we got a good deal on the house and then they came in finished up the inside, and then in May they painted the outside. The experience was great. They are very personable and they were willing to work with us. Scott was willing to work with us. We have his phone number; we could call him whenever we wanted and to see how things are doing. He just took care of everything. All the people he had because he was the contractor, and all of the subcontractors were really good. They were fair. The things was for our loan that we got which is a purchase with a construction loan, you have to have only one contractor and then the contractor is responsible for all the subcontractors. He is the one that got lined up all the people and did it, so whatever the price was fine. He knew what he had to say with them for our loan, and he did and everything got that, so that was good. He is very good.
