Description of Work: Contacted company for an estimate. Ron Cohen came over to see what the job was on 1/31/ 12. I needed new counters and flooring in my kitchen. I live in a small condo. He was supposed to contact me with an estimate. As of 2/14/12 I have not heard from him.

I actually had them come over to check on the job, but they are yet to get back to me even after a month, even though we have had correspondence. My first impression about Ron Cohen was that he was very well qualified, professional and everything. I felt very comfortable with him. They showed up on time and were professional in evaluating the job. I did not have a problem with them and would have gone with them. My first attempt after a month was to check if they were still interested. I called and talked to a woman in his office, and she told me that they were interested. We had a couple of emails back and forth. I wish they had got back to me with a definite answer than leading me on. I was not impressed. They had good reviews on Angie’s List. I don’t want to judge them too soon, but I was very disappointed. I don’t have really good things to say about them. I spent a fair amount of time with them, and they seemed capable of doing the job. I asked him if he could give me a kind of ballpark, and he said that he would get back to me; I have never heard from him. I met them on the 13th of May, and enough time has gone by. I kept waiting for them to revert to me. I had hoped to get a couple of bids on the project, and I ended up going with a company that actually gave me a bid. In all fairness, we are in Zephyr Cove, which is about 70 miles from Reno. They do market in our area, so I figured that should not have been a problem, but in retrospect, that may actually have been my problem. They probably felt that this place was farther than they wanted to go, but they could have told me that. I asked Ron whether they had done work here, and he said that he had worked on the hotels, which was probably a huge project. We had a pretty significant renovation going on. Our renovation was not one of those where there were a lot of problems to deal with. The unit was empty, and it is a 30-year-old standard construction, so it was basically an interior remodel of a well-built townhouse. I am amazed that they weren’t coming back. One of the possibilities was that they had a lot of work on their hands. I had checked with other contractors too, and they responded with a lot of calls. I would have been happy if they had just told me why they did not want to do the job. I probably would not seek a quote from them again because I felt like I got stood-up.
Description of Work: I contacted Building Tectonics Inc for the renovation of my townhouse.

Overall design, demo, quality and construction excellent. Very willing and able to work with a budget. Great suggestions for design, budget management, etc. Tile installers were skilled craftsman. Project took longer than expected or planned but owner was responsive to our needs. We are pleased with the outcome and would definitely use Building Tectonics for future projects.

I wanted to upgrade my condo and in doing so, I thought new doors, baseboards, trim and paint would be fitting. There was also a small amount of dry wall work that was needed to be done. The owner of the company was very polite on the phone and was eager to work with me in what I wanted. He was there with me picking out colors, doors, and walked me through the whole process before it even started. All in all, the experience was great and I love the outcome.
Description of Work: I had a great experience with the way Building Tectonic handled everything with my remodel. The craftsman ship was excellent. I felt comfortable in having them work in my home. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for high quality work and professionalism.

They were referred to us from a friend and they over exceeded our expectations. We had many questions and they took the time to explain it in detail. They were also very professional and we trusted then fully with handling our belongings. They were also very efficient, I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: A complete remodel of the kitchen and bathroom. Which includes all new fixtures and appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplash, new cabinets, tile flooring, and all new lighting. One of the neatest things of working with Building Tectonics Inc. was that they are also a design contractor that provided us with many options such as, color 3-D renderings. They walked us through the whole process from start to finish.
