Update Jan 2024: More kudos for B&B – after getting an estimate for a heater replacement from another company, we called them for an estimate as well. They sent a person out the same day who inspected the heater and said the estimate we received was fair. We were not charged for this visit, although it would have been appropriate and we would have happily paid. Once again we were impressed with the professionalism and response from B&B. The only reason we didn’t use them for the heater install was that the other company had a quicker turnaround time and it was very cold that week.

We used B&B Heating and Air for the first time on 10-12-2023 for our annual heating system checkup and we were very impressed. As others have mentioned, the customer service is excellent. I left a message with my first call and Connie called back promptly. We scheduled a date for the service and Connie provided information about what exactly to expect. I didn’t need to ask any questions (and I’m a big question-asker!). She gave me an arrival time frame of one hour (not 2 – 4 like many other service companies), the name of the service provider (Randolph), the cost of the service, and proactively asked if either me or my husband were military, first responders, or seniors so she could provide a discount (my husband is retired military, so we enjoyed a 10% discount). I also gave her specific parking instructions as we live in an HOA with limited parking for visitors. At the end of the call, I asked to be put on a wait list in case another customer cancelled so we could get our heater serviced sooner. Lucky for me she called back the same day with an earlier option that we happily accepted. Today, the day of service, Randolph arrived promptly, parked exactly as instructed, and started work right away. After he was finished, he used his hand vac to clean up the bits of insulation that had fallen from the access area to the attic. As he was removing his gear from our home, he said he’d be back in about 10 minutes with his writeup. As promised, he returned in 10 minutes and explained everything he had found and answered our questions clearly and in a way that my husband and I, as laymen, could easily understand. He did not try to upsell us and in fact explained all the options (only after we specifically asked) we’d likely need to consider in the next few years as our unit is getting a bit long in the tooth. It would have been very easy for him to urge us to get a new system now, but in his expert opinion, our system should be good for at least a few more years and our annual checks should show anything concerning that might develop before then. If you need an HVAC company, we’d recommend B&B Heating and Air.

Connie's crew ( Chad and Randall) showed up early on the appointed day to do a furnace change out. The did a fantastic installation in a very few hours. I could not be happier with the great customer service from this company! Connie and Aaron gave me a great price and Chad and Randall were friendly, professional and did a beautiful job. They took my 40 year old junk away too. I recommend these folks for all of your HVAC needs. Nowadays it's hard to get contractors to even call you back let alone come to the house, but not this bunch! They were on it from our very first call! Fantastic! Great people perfect service!

Responsive and professional service from initial call for quote to scheduling, installation, start-up and clean-up.

He was prompt and thorough. He cleaned the furnace inside and out and fixed an ignition problem due to a clogged orifice. It didn't take long to get an appointment.

Mike showed up on time, and explained thoroughly all the steps he would take to service the AC system and outlined what we can expect in the process. His price was very fair and I would recommend B&B Heating and air to any household for great service.

It went really well. I didn't have to wait very long for them to come. I admitted to him that I hadn't changed my air filter like I should have done. He didn't make fun of me or give me a hard time. Very thorough and professional service. The 12+ year old furnace looked brand new after Mike & his assistant were finished cleaning and fixing the leaky pipe ! Am planning on hiring them again for a diagnostic check of my out-of-whack thermostat. The only thing that I would have liked was a bigger piece of paper on which the combustion analysis was printed on, and perhaps a terminology/metrics printout that described some of the ranges of number values that the analysis generates. Mike explained it all to me, but a cheat-sheet would help me to absorb all the info for remembering everything ! I felt like it was as much of an education session as it was a comprehensive service, as Mike took the time to explain things and even walked me through reprogramming my thermostat. UPDATE TO REVIEW: On 7/18 I received some of the best service I've had from a home services company when I called Mike for some urgent troubleshooting on a thermostat issue. B&B not only was responsive to my (minor) emergency, and clear in communicating what needed to be done (all over the phone), but they were even willing to squeeze me into their tight schedule to help resolve the issue so I could have my AC running again on a 100-degree afternoon in July! First of all he arrived on the dot! Super nice, professional and didnt waste time. Most the time Im afraid to let these guys in the house but mike was just great. Did a great job and instructed me on replacing a couple filters which I appreciated. I will refer him every time!

B&B are the first HONEST AC contractor I found. Extremely helpful and informative. Fixing old AC systems is tricky. All other contractors I talked to would not even look at the system without a service fee. The one company I paid this service fee to ($75) worked for less than 5 minutes before telling me he could do no more. NOT helpful. B&B helped me look for the leak (which was found easily), and helped my fix it BEFORE charging me anything! I was happy to pay! My system is working fine, and I have a new HVAC contractor.

I had a service time set up with Mike and he was finished with his prior appt. and called me to see if it would be convenient to come earlier or not. He did come earlier at my request and was very prompt and courteous and explained everything. Showed me when things were clean and did not need to be done and cleaned and serviced outside unit with coolant. Measured temps and gave me a plan for if the actions did not resolve and would check back. Very thorough I felt and pleasant to work with. Will use again. Will recommend to anyone who needs heating and air.

The owner (Mike) responded within a few hours when I placed my Angies List online coupon order (and this was on a Sunday). He provided service on the day I requested and came exactly on time. He not only provided maintenance on my AC per the coupon, but also inspected my gas furnance at no charge. Mike identified that a contact in the AC was on the verge of failure and replaced it for $65 (cost of part only, no labor charge). I was very pleased by every aspect of the job done. I have been looking for a "go to" HVAC company for our Reno house for the last several years that I felt could provide excellent mechanical skills and would be a straight shooter. After having worked unsuccessfully with about 3 prior companies, I know that I will be relying on B&B from here on out.

The appointment was made via email and the serviceman showed up right on time in fact a little early. That was great! When I ask a question about my Oil Furnace he was suprised and said the "deal" was not for Oil Furnaces. No where in the deal or special description does it say anything about no oil furnaces. I agreed to have the service completed however, he had to go back to the shop to get some special parts and tools. He returned and started the Tune-Up and came up from the basement very alarmed and told me that the motor was about to die! He said he has never heard a furnace make such a noise. I went down to the basement and simply touched the metal oil line that runs into the furnace and the noise stopped. It was simply a vibration! The deal or special also states that it includes a filter but I informed him that I had recently replaced my filter. In the past when I have had service on the furnace it has never been more than $120.00. This ended up costing me $132.00 for what was advertised as $69.00. I wrote a check foor the extra amount but am very disapointed that they offered absolutely no addition discount. I would have been okay if they had made the same special/deal off of $26.00 off their regular service. I will continue to use my regular Company. B&B did call the following day but not the owner. They apologized for the confusion but seem to keep blaming Angie's List when I feel it is their responsibility to proof read the deal. They offered me a gift card to Port of Subs or Starbucks but I try to spend my money with small independant shops or stores.

I was very pleased with this contractor. They were there exactly when they said they would be there. They installed the new duct work and fixed the old badly installed duct and they stayed until they were sure that the unit was functioning absolutely correct. After the job was done I inspected the duct work underneath the house and everything was done very well. Since then the system has been functioning flawlessly. I would not hesitate to hire again.

They did a great job servicing our furnace. We purchased a great deal through Angie's List for them. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them in the future.

I would highly recommend B&B. I called this morning and Michael thought he wouldn't be able to come until tomorrow but made time to come today! He was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Furnace was fixed and we are very happy. We would definitely have him back again. We are very grateful to him and would highly recommend his services.

Great job. Most important to me (aside from doing good work at a fair price): He showed up EXACTLY on time, both for the estimate and for the work. He was clean and professional. As the owner of Katz Trains Dogs, we needed to find somebody who could get our house warm, quickly. When the part was deemed not in stock by the supplier until the next morning, Michael offered to lend us a couple of electric heaters. Needless to say-- we had that one covered! (Wouldn't want the puppies to catch a chill!) Excellent service.

Mike came out with his assistant and we are very pleased with the work. He returned my call today within 20 minutes and came out this morning. The problem was diagnosed right away. The unit and thermostat were checked over and over to make sure the problem was corrected. They also cleaned the unit and all parts that were removed.They were both very professional, courteous, friendly and we would call them again if needed. I would highly recommend them to anyone having a heating problem. The price quoted was exactly the charge. Great to do business with nice people.

B & B Heating & Air was prompt, efficient, knowledgable and capable. They arrived on time and completed the work within the estimated time frame, even though they had to do extra work. They installed an additional vent for no additional charge. They made sure it all worked well before they left, and it did. Since the air conditioner was installed in October, they said they will get back with me in the spring to complete the inspection, although it is usable and works well. I am absolutely thrilled.
