ALPINE LOCK & KEY

2 bad back to back experiences. A few weeks ago I scheduled Alpine to come put a deadbolt on our door and they were a no show. 2 days ago, our landlord keeps going into our IT closet and I had Alpine come out to lock it so our server does not get shut off again. This morning the landlord showed up with a master key given to them from Alpine and entered the IT closet again. Don't worry that I have 125 businesses incubating in my space. I called Alpine and they said talk to the Landlord. Now the person I was trying to secure my IT closet from can access it again after paying 400 dollars to secure it. I am not EVER using or recommending this place again.

Excellent. When the locksmith (Jeromi) looked at the door he told me that the lock button on the door had been accidentally pushed, causing the door knob to freeze. He showed me how the mechanism worked and told me the door knob assembly was still in excellent condition and should last another 10 years of so. So instead of replacing the door knob I had Jeromi clean and lube the assembly, saving me several hundred dollars. He could very easily have taken advantage of me and my lack of knowledge. I now know much more about the lock I inherited and how it works.

Alpine showed up on time, did the work quickly and charged a fair price with no surprises. He even put booties on when he came into our home. We will use them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs a locksmith.

Very well. Able to repair existing lock. Was able to avoid having to buy a whole new lock and possibly having to repaint the door if we couldn’t find a lock with the same silhouette.

Provided prompt, courteous, and accurate service. I will definitely hire again to install a lock set on the door from the laundry room into the garage.

I made the call expecting to have an appt in a few days and was pleasantly surprised to find they could come within the hour for this routine service. The tech arrived and changed the locks, everything went well

Everything went well. The technician was running late and called to let me know. I appreciated this very much. I wish he would have cleaned up the marks he left on the doors, but other than that, it was good work.

First of all, the receptionist in the office was not professional and lacked knowledge on how to talk with a customer and procedure for changing locks. Being in property management a very long time, I know from experience that when you make an appointment for a locksmith to help you enter a home when you do not have a key, you much prove you are the owner of the home. The lady in the office just told me to meet him at the property and he would gain entry with his tools. I asked her if I needed to prove ownership and she said "no". When I asked her again she said we should bring our title. Now how many people have a title to a home sitting around? We asked her if we could bring our mortgage papers and she said "ok". Once we got to the home, we found the tenants left it unlocked so it was not an issue. But I would not have been happy to drive out 20 miles to find I needed to prove ownership of the property. We arrived at 11am. We waited an hour and then we get a call that they forgot to get us on the schedule and can they re-schedule it. We told the office we had been sitting at the property an hour so they pulled a locksmith off another job and sent him right over. He came prepared to do the job except he was not sure he had a part for the slider which he ended up having afterall. He was good and we had not problems with hime. The job was done quickly and he made us the extra keys we needed. All the problems we had were with the office not the locksmith. I felt bad that he had to leave another job because the office made mistakes. Overall, I rated them a "c" because he did a good job on short notice. I would try them again and hope they get it right. My time is valuable too and an hour sitting in the sun is just not good for making a long-time customer.

I called and got same day service. I had tried to install the lock myself but failed. The technician took the time to explain to me where I went wrong. The installation was speedy. I would definitely use Alpine again!

New to the area and called for an appointment on Tuesday the 24th and was able to schedule service for the next day at 2:00pm. Technician was on time, professional and prepared for the service with the right lock and key system and completed the job within 20 minutes! GREAT service and will use them again!

Alpine lock and key was courteous, professional, and the technician was knowledgeable, skilled, and took pride in his work. He worked efficiently to finish each component of the job and made helpful relevant recommendations for the current installation and the future. I will definitely use them next time. Another plus, pricing was competitive and quoted completely upfront.

While I was out of town I learned that the lock on one of my exterior doors had somehow become broken. I looked on Angie's list and chose Alpine Lock and Key to contact. I called Alpine Lock and Key from out of town and asked them to go to the home and take care of the broken lock. It wasn't a simple task. Seems the lock was no longer manufactured, and replacing it with another lock, due to the physical measurements,wasn't going to be easy and so it took a couple of days, but Alpine was able to locate a replacement part and repaired the lock. Mind you, they did all this while I was away from the home. THIS IS RARELY A SIMPLE TASK, BUT IT WAS MADE SIMPLE BY USING ALPINE LOCK AND KEY. They did a great job, and yes, I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone that asked for my opinion. The cost to me was very reasonable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TERRY was my contact person at Alpine Lock and Key and she did a splendid job of working with me on this matter

Called Alpine in the late morning and they were at my home in less than 2 hours. The locksmith was professionnal and pleasant. He re keyed the lock and provided me with new keys. He then adjusted another a lock that wasn't working right. A great experience. Will definitely use them again and certainly recommend them. Thank you

Done well, quickly, professionally and in a friendly manner for a reasonable price.

It took six months to locate and receive the special lock parts, but it was worth the wait. The dispatcher, richard, is very considerate and helpful and always truthful with what I could expect. It took 3 trips, including the last trip by the owner, to make sure that the old lock and the new parts were synched perfectly - but it was worth the hassle because I do not believe that there is another locksmith in northern nevada that would have continued with this project to such a satisfactory end.

They were very good. We were a good bit out of the town and hence, they charged the service charges. Their price was very reasonable.; we bought a really high end box. Their service was good and they knew as to what they were talking about. They gave good products if you asked for it. I was away when they came out and so, it did not matter as to when they actually came but I thought that they were on time. I would absolutely use them again.

I checked Angie's List before I called anyone and got the best, most prompt, most courteous response from Alpine Lock and Key. I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment for 5:00 on the same day. The technician who performed the work was on time, very helpful, very courteous and very fast. I have nothing to complain about.

We have actually used them several times - and almost always because we need them ASAP. On almost every occasion that we've used Alpine it's because someone has moved out of a property and we needed the locks changed immediately. The first time I called Alpine they came out within an hour of my call and had the locks changed really fast. The next time they came and changed all the locks - it was on a weekend and on very short notice. I think the last time we actually were not in a hurry - and they still came out right away. Another thing I really appreciated was that they always give me as many keys as I ask for - and can even stamp the address on them which is nice when you have a lot of keys that look the same.

They response and service was prompt, professionional and reasonable. Very friendly.

Scheduled an appointment with James on Sep24 for Sep27 at 1pm. By 1:15pm, no one had arrived. Called to confirm the appt and spoke with Rick (dispatcher). Rick said my appt had not been written down in the dispatch book so he was unaware of it. Rick was very accommodating and was able to send Tyler out who arrived ~2:30. Tyler was very professional and did a fine job. For some reason our locks were troublesome to rekey as it took Tyler ~2.5 hours to complete the task. It was considerate of them to provide the extra keys at no charge.

On the Friday I expected my home purchase to be completed, I called Alpine's office several times to tell them how the transaction was progressing. I didn't receive an entry key to my new home until the end of that afternoon but Alpine nonetheless dispatched one of its workers to meet me at the house. He surveyed the job, then proceeded to re-key all my door locks and fix the few locks that were malfunctioning. The work was done quickly and without any difficulties. Alpine's employee explained a few lock "issues" to me that he felt I should know for the future. In general, Alpine accommodated my challenging timetable for this work, did a professional job in good time, and took a moderate fee. I was very satisfied with this vendor.
