Had an unpleasant inspection with Matt their Manager who did absolutely nothing but give me excuses! I have used Davey in the past without any problems. I believe the liquid fertilizer that was used had some chemical issues on this go around or was too concentrated. I requested the shrubs that had issues to be replaced or process a refund. After demonstrating my dissatisfaction with Matt he just walked away with an attitude of "I could care less". Who would want to do business with a company that WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ISSUES?

They trim all of my trees, haul away the debris and do a wonderful job. Three large 'regular' trees and several very tall palms.

I've been using the company's services for about eight years. It's a bit pricey, but the manager, Ken, and his crew do excellent work, and I appreciate that they take care to avoid damaging my sprinkler system during the fertilization.

Timely response to my request for service. Gave me valuable advise and reasonably priced quote. Work done to my satisfaction would recommend them to people.

The work turned out great. They do a great job. I would recommend Davey Tree. I've used them for years. They sweep after themselves and they take everything away. I would say their pricing is not the highest and not the lowest.

This was our second time we used them and the owner's name is Mathew Haro. Our experience has always been very good. About a year ago they took down a huge pine tree and a couple of days ago they took down the other huge pine tree. The pine tree is in the corner of the yard so it had the potential to fall on four houses. They just did an excellent job. I did a tremendous amount of research on tree companies and they were just so good at removing trees. As I said, this was the second huge pine tree that they brought down. They clean up and there is no speck of anything left when they leave, like pine combs or anything and all the branches are gone. They come when they said they are going to. They are bonded insured. Matt is a horticulturist, so he gives me advice on the best way to do things, prune things and all that good stuff. For others it might seem expensive but I thought it was fine. They did an excellent job. Their responsiveness was great. They were here a little bit early actually. They had a slip up with their work. They removed one bush that they weren't supposed to remove but Matt had it replaced. He picked up the bush and never charged us. They rectified their mistake.

Danny took time to look all around our property and consider our present methods of taking care of our trees. His knowledge of trees and plant maintenance was extensive and very helpful. He gave us peace of mind that most of the things we were doing were OK and offered helpful insights for improvements. There was no pressure to sign up for anything and he was courteous and professional throughout the entire meeting. We're an elderly couple and appreciate Danny's patience.

Matt Haro came out to give us an estimate. He was lively, knowledgeable and prompt. The first time we had an appointment, for whatever reason, the provider did not show up and didn't call. After we rescheduled, they came on time and performed the service requested. I have noticed that my plants/trees have livened up since the service. Thought the service was very pricey but will try it out to see how much benefit my plants get from the treatment.

The workman were extremely professional and worked in a timely manner.

We loved the guy who came to speak with us, the arborist. Very knowledgable and friendly. Then he had someone come out and do the fertizaltion of the trees. Over all very happy and would recommend them to you. It was pricey but worth it.

Awesome! I called and inquired with so many other companies and they were one of three to contact me back. Prices were great, service was quick and very professional. I already have more projects ready for them soon.

He was prompt and knowledgeable, did a good job. Seemed a little pricey, but I would use them again.

So Far So Good, Trees seem to being quite a bit better...been in my home 10 years and never had anything like this done..I was concerned about a couple of trees and after having them come out and evaluate...feel it was worth the money.

Unfortunately I've already called a few tree companies and got a few quotes. Chris was the name of the lady that answered the phone. I wanted to know how backed up they were and she can't answer a simple question. My time is precious and I don't have time to waste because I'm always on the go. I didn't want to have them come out to tell me that they couldn't do the job right away because they are backed up for two weeks. I have other project going on in my house. I need things done within a time frame. So I told her I will give her my name and number so she can have one of her guys call me to tell me how backed up work was before even trying to come to my house and waste my time, not only for me but them too. She rudely says that they will need to come out to the house first before they tell you how backed up they are. I'm sorry no other company does that. They tell you how backed up they are. I told her I don't like the sound of that cuz Im clearly going to speak to someone who knows more about the job than she does. By me saying that I want to tear down and stump grind a 20-25 ft Mexican palm tree (easy access) You can have an idea of how big or small the job is, and you are telling me you can't tell me how backed up you are before coming to my house and giving me a quote before I waste my time or anyone else's. she rudely sarcastically closes the conversation and says. Ok, thank you very much. She obviously doesn't have an education since she knows nothing about customer service or being a professional. Only because you can answer a phone doesn't mean she is professional. I also told her I would be putting this on angies list.

They started on time and finished as promise, I still think that they could have done a more complete tree trimming.

Eric D came out to give an estimate. He scheduled a date within the week. His quote was one of several I obtained. Eric was fully on board with the removing just dead limbs from my trees. He asked if a cherry picker could be used as it needed to be driven onto the drive. He looked at the Ash trees and we agreed that they were too far gone to try and save thus we scheduled removal. His crew came when scheduled and got to work fully understanding the plan. Eric did show up during the job. The guys did clean up debris and disposed of all removed wood. I paid the bill later in the day. I actually picked Davey Tree because of Eric and his attitude about the trees. He saw them as living beings as I do. He was about educating and only doing what was necessary. He did what he said he would when he said it would be done. Now the "bad" experience Within the week of work being done, I called the office and twice that week spoke with Christine asking her to have Eric call me. Then also left a message on the companies answering machine asking for someone from the company to return my call. I had gotten a bill which I had already paid and I wanted to schedule the fertilization. I did not receiver a call back from anyone in the company. On March 21st I realized I had an email for Eric so I relayed my concerns. Eric called me within a few hours. He said he recalled getting one message and tried to return the call, thought he left a message but nothing showed on my cell log. He said a computer change was why I got a bill even after paying in full (I was one of 26). He then asked if I want to schedule the fertilization but I had already had someone else take care of it. I told Eric I was conflicted about how to rate the company. His service was good. The company was totally unresponsive as far as I am concerned. Use the company but get an email address for communication purposed.

I called Davey Tree for a free estimate and was scheduled to meet with Eric, the arborist, on a day and time that was convenient for me. He arrived, right on schedule. We discussed two options, all of which he documented and provided to me before he left. Eric could have recommended leaving the 6 African Sumacs which would have required ongoing and regular maintenance service. Instead, as an arborist, he told me honestly that the type of tree with its rapidly expanding canopy and root spread, was not a good choice for my backyard and were a threat to my pool and block wall. The two workmen arrived on schedule, introduced themselves, confirmed the plan and started right away. Within the allotted time, they had trimmed three palm trees, removed 7 trees and cleaned up (including sweeping the sidewalk). I was very pleased with both the price and the service. I will definitely call Davey Tree when I need my trees attended to.

The two gentlemen that came out worked started working in the backyard and then finished in the front yard. They worked non stop and did a great job.

The wood was great, it burned fast, and we didn't have trouble lighting it. They call us every year now, it's nice.

It's very expensive but It's worth the price because they send a certified arborist out. I've used them every winter forever. They send a certified arborist out to make recommendations. Once he looks at the trees in question he orders the work to be done based on my schedule and then a crew shows up to do the work. The quality of their work is excellent.
