The workers were very thorough in cleaning up after the work. They came with a big truck that has a shredder on it and hauled it all away. It was nice and clean and they also took care of all the leaves that accumulated under the plants. They blew it out then hauled it away. The yard looks spic and span, I highly recommend them - they are very good. I thought the price was reasonable and the quality was excellent. They were very conducive to any suggestions, we wanted it done a certain way and they did it for us. That made it easy for us to get our yard the way we wanted it. The foreman arranged to be at our house Saturday morning and he failed to record that and he missed it. We were waiting for him and we called him and he apologized then came on Wednesday. I called the main office and they don't have office hours on the weekend so I left a message on the cell phone. That was the only bad part, otherwise it was fine.

Overall I think they did a good job. Never had this service done before, so can't really comment on the price. However I know we couldn't have done what they did and they had to bring a huge truck to grind up the really large branches so I think it was worth it.

Trimmed 3 trees. One tree was massive and covering everything in my front yard including scraping against my roof. They did an amazing job keeping the same overall shape of the trees while making it more manageable!

Generally, this company is good. However, my concern has been in regard to one of my trees in distress, that was named differently depending on the "expert". Also, various reasons for the distress have been given with no good results. I've used this company for several years, but may look for someone else in the future.

Matthew Haro,Certified Arborist, came on time and diagnosed the problem and told us what we should do about it. We are working on repairing that now. He did not charge for the visit but did offer to return and do some trimming, etc. We do not know as yet if the problem is solved but if not, we will be seeing them again in a week and will follow their advice.

Matthew was very professional and came to my home to provide a free estimate right away. The crew came over just a few days later and trimmed 20 trees in my yard. It was a huge job - I was shocked when I got home and saw how much they had done. A few days later some of the remaining branches began to droop since they didn't have the weight of the old branches supporting them. I called and Matthew came over right away and fixed them for me. They were very responsive and their price was significantly better than their competitors. The other thing I liked about them was that they listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and together we figured out what was best to do. I had them come back to feed the trees and trim my palms, and while the person who came to feed the trees was not quite as accommodating as Matthew, his work and the palm cleaning went very well. I will continue to use them for all my future tree trimming and feeding needs.

They were reasonable and I spent about $900 on the job. They guy that did the original estimate was punctual, professional and really knowledgeable. He had given me volume of work and cut me a really great deal. They were awesome.

To summarize, I was very happy with this company and will have them back to work on my yard again. For details, see below. I have been trimming my own trees for the 9 years I lived in my house. However, some of the trees got too tall for me to handle, even on my 8-foot step ladder. I decided to get professional help this year, so I consulted Angie's List for a reliable service. That's how I found Davey. The estimate was done professionally and I felt comfortable that the estimator understood my concerns and answered my questions. The crew showed up when they promised and went about their business quickly and professionally. They cleaned up and removed all the debris, leaving no bags behind for trash pickup day. The lead guy spoke English, and that helped. I was very pleased with the results. Although the price was a little high, it was by no means outrageous. Because this company has a good reputation on Angies List, I decided to pay a little more and go with them anyway.

They were punctual, the price was good and everything went well. They did such a good job our neighbors were happy and are now planning on using them.

Like the vast majority of reviews here have indicated, I too had great service and professionalism from Davey Tree.

Let me just start with the fact that we purchased this house BECAUSE of the trees. Our house in on a quarter acre and the landscaping is beautiful. It was neglected by the previous owner, but the trees are gorgeous and provide wonderful shade and our yard is completely private because of them. It was very important to us to have a certified arborist prune the trees as well as have someone who knew exactly what we wanted. I called and left a message on their main line. A friendly woman called me back almost immediately. Spencer came out on time for our appointment for the quote. I was very satisfied with the quote. I had received quotes all over the board, one being for several thousand dollars! Davey's price was the best and they seemed to have a great reputation so I went with them....I'm SO glad I did! Spencer called me the day before the work was scheduled as a reminder. He informed me that two men, one of which was also a certified arborist, would be there. He said he would go over the work in detail with them as well as come upon their arrival just to make sure they understood our desires. The men were very professional, kind and spoke English. They cleaned up the yard and even tried to rake out some of the leaves from the pool, which I would never expect them to do. I am so very impressed with Spencer, the two workers and the company. It is refreshing to know that there are companies who take pride in the services they provide. I was so worried that the trees would be cut back too much or not enough...I wanted it 'just right' and that is exactly what I got! The yard looks so much bigger and our privacy is still in tact! At first it was terrible but they came back and corrected it. They guy came on a Friday afternoon and didn t really do what they were supposed to do. It was rather expensive. They came back right away and did it right. I think it was a lack of communication.

This was a very good experience. They were very professional, they came on time and they gave me an estimate. They did a good job! They are reasonably priced, maybe a little higher, but you get what you pay for.

Two workers from Davey arrived at precisely the scheduled time. They protected two air conditioner units from abrasion with tarpaulins that may have occurred as they removed the tree branches from the back yard. In one and and a half hours they cut down both trees down to the ground level, disposed of all limbs and tree branches, used blowers to clean off my patios, sidewalks, driveway, and the street from in front of my house, and applied an industrial grade tree stump killer product (Round Up). Both workers were polite and professional and spoke and understood English.

They came back with a reasonable bid and took care of the work in a timely fashion. They were very prompt and professional. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

Excellent Service! I called on Thursday and got an estimate appointment for Saturday a.m. Service was performed Monday a.m. before 8 a.m. Very Courteous all around from women who answered the phone to the gentleman who came out for the estimate to the workers who cut the fronds off. (they even offered to trim up a couple other palm trees while they were there!!) Everything was cleaned up and not a thing was broken or disturbed under the tree. Great Job!!
