The technician was on time and very friendly, yet professional. He fixed everything quickly and saved us a ton of money. He was very nice.

They won't do any kind of estimate. They expect you to commit to their hourly rate without any idea of how long they'll be there.

Rakeman technician Robert (Rob) was outstanding, knowledgeable, efficient, and very customer-oriented. He did an amazing job and I was 100% confident in him diagnosing and repairing my plumbing issues. Gene from Rakeman arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, explained the issue to me and did the repair in a minimum amount of time.

It went well but tech was stalling for a while waiting for his drill to charge to use it. I thought if i was paying by the hour, this didn't seem right to charge me for all the time he was there. The work was done very neatly and I would use the company again.

When Gene, their service technician arrived, he promptly found the leak on the adapter for the Irrigation pipe. That copper pipe had a hole on the side of it. Gene removed and replaced the damaged pipe and fitting. Before he left, he also made sure that all my faucets and toilets were working properly. Gene was very professional and I'm glad to give him and Rakeman Plumbing my high recommendation.

We had 2 other companies give quotes but they weren't able to get the work finished that day. We didn't want to inconvenience the tenant any more than he had been. Jr. showed up on time and I met him at the house. He was able to stay and make the necessary repairs. Saved the day!! We were SO relieved to get this done so quickly. And not only that - it was much less than we had been quoted by another company. We saved $5000 by going with Rakeman!!!!! Thank you so much!

Never showed up for appointment. Somebody called my at 6pm, as they were closing, and said they were sorry they were not in my area that day and couldn't get to me. Are you kidding me? I had a scheduled appointment for an estimate, not a maybe we'll show up if available. They tried to excuse themselves because the estimate is free. Why didn't they just call me earlier and tell me they couldn't make it? If they can't show up for the estimate, how can I trust they'll show up for the job? Will they show up after the job if there's a problem? Maybe they'll be too busy. This isn't the first company I've dealt with that is simply too busy to place a phone call. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe companies so busy they can't call you is a sign they're the best. The company I went with for the job called, texted and even sent out an email.

They have done all my plumbing work for 50 years from when it was just old Mr. Rakeman and his truck and now, it is a huge office. It has just been a company that I know is reliable and I know they are reasonable. I know most of the technicians that work there now. It is just a company that I would go to.

I was jerked around the plumber sat outside for 30 min before even coming in the home then made me wait til he finished his cigarette before actually coming in the home then he didnt fix the toilet told me he didnt have the part and that he would return the next day i waited at home all day without even a courtesy call to notify me that he would be indeed coming to my home t I finally called the company and the reps were unkind and unhelpful so please people save your time and money use someone else anglist please remove this company from your trusted list

I was actually surprised by what was done. The job came out excellent and my wife was thrilled. She has wanted to move the disposal to the larger sink for some time. Mic did a professional job and came in lower than the original estimate because it actually took less time to get the job done. I would recommend Rakeman Plumbing to anyone. Cudos to Mic.

On April 4, 2016 Southwest Gas turned off our gas to our home because of a 'small leak" on a pipe coming out of our house. I researched Southwest's Gas and Angie's List website for approved and licensed providers to fix this leak. On April 5, 2016 (Rakeman Plumbing) Jim came to our home and gave an "high estimate" to fix the leak of $1300. He told me he had to have a pressure of pumped air into our system of 15psi for 15 min before the County inspector would approve for our gas to be turned back on. Jim told me at the time he hated to have to push that much pressure into a line at a home the age of our home. We built it in 1991 and it is approximately 10,000 square feet. He told me when you push that much pressure into a line that normally only hold less that 1 psi we are risking to create more leaks. After working in our home for more that 10 days he was still not able to get the line to hold the pressure. He told me he kept finding new leaks. I told him he needed someone else with experience with gas pipes I contacted Rakeman Service department on 2 occasions and asked for the supervisor Ronnie Greathouse. He never called me back. I then wrote a letter to owners Aaron Lathair, and John Paul Freeman requesting that they contact me. I never heard from either. Business license # 0021952A and 80907. They did send another plumber with Jim for 2-3 different times and ended up cutting 20 areas in our home to attempt to find the leak. I had asked if there was a more advanced way to find this leak and he said no. I asked if you could cap off areas and limit the areas they tested and he said No. In the end 13 days later they told me that the county codes only require 10psi for 10 min. They said it was Rakeman's policy to have the 15psi for 15 min. Finally after 16 days they were able to get the 15 psi for 15 min. The total charge was $10,038.00. I have 20 holes in the ceiling that have been estimated to cost $2100.00 to repair, They broke the handle on my oven and did not replace it. They permanently cut off the gas to two of my brick BBQ and told me to convert to propane. I have to pay for this conversion also. I am mostly disappointed with this company because: they lack experience in finding this type of leak, Jim on several occasions did not have the proper equipment he needed and came and went, supervisors and owners do not return calls, and it seems as though this a collaborative type of business that milks the time in your home. They also have a side business that repairs all the drywall and they recommended that company to me. Their name is CPI Restoration.

The plumber measured water pressure coming into our house and compared it to pressure at neighbor's homes after witnessing how low the pressure was at faucets in our house. He, like numerous other plumbers, water filtration experts, and city water technicians, confirmed our intake water pressure was same as neighbors, but could not find loss of pressure in house. He removed shower head and allowed water to flow in case debris was in system while simultaneously angering out toilet to get drain unplugged. He also saw that we had very low flow toilets with small drain openings that just could not handle our level of usage that caused daily drain plugs. He confirmed that our plan to change to Champion 4 toilets would work better for us as they had in other homes.

Gene came to my house and discover the problem right away. He explained to me what had happened and what he needed to do. So, he proceeded to fix the leak and it took him about an hour. After he was done he cleaned up after himself. He was very professional and honest. I would recommend Gene to my friends, family, and clients. I also received a 15% discount on my bill for being an Angie's list member.

They did a good job. They provided excellent customer service. The pricing was good.

That second day I did have the turn-off valve to my home replaced at a cost of $200+. I called their office to ask how the $1,800 re-route would work, as it was a homeowner's claim. I was advised that they will NOT work with an insurance company. I asked to sign paperwork to finance the repair; they advised that they don't do that. They said they would cancel the re-route and I could call them "when I had the money". I borrowed the funds from my parents, called Rakeman and had them agree to come in the next morning (day three without water to my house). This morning they came in; walls had been removed and the leak was clearly visible -- not below ground, not a slab leak, just a leaking pipe in the wall. I asked the tech if it was a slab leak, he said "no". I said then it won't be $1,800 and he said it still was a re-route for a slab leak and would still be $1,800. When they left, 13 feet of pipe (plastic) had been put into the wall. Leak is fixed, but the charge was $1,800. My insurance adjuster was astonished that they charged me $1,800 to put in13 feet of plastic pipe. They didn't have to do anything to get to it, as it had already been exposed by the wall having been removed. They wrote on the invoice that it was a re-route due to a slab leak; the insurance adjuster, and restoration company both clearly said it's NOT a slab leak and NOT a re-route. In addition, the kitchen sink has cold water only. The hot water side produces no water at all. After additional calls, this morning a tech did come to my house. He showed me a pipe that was taped off coming up from underground which was the original pipe, so that is the "re-route" (I can't argue price as I had agreed to it). The reason I had no hot water was, with the dishwasher out, the pipe wasn't capped off. He capped it off so I can have hot water until the rebuild is complete, so now I'm functional. Still not happy about the price, but I did agree to it, so I won't pursue this any further.

The office people as well as the plumber, were professional, courteous, and really did what they were supposed to do. It only took 1/2 hour for the plumber to come on a Sunday. He was there 3 hours, and the char4ges were quite responibhle, especially form a Sunday. I will recommend always these plumbers.

We are very pleased with the service we received. At 8:30p on a Saturday night, we noticed one of the connections in our Manabloc system was leaking, so my husband turned off the water to the house to attempt to fix it. When he went to turn the water back on, the handle to the main water valve freely spun and the water was not flowing. After reading reviews on Angie's List, we called Rakeman and were immediately quoted an hourly rate and told when the plumber would be here. He was prompt, nice, able to complete the job in a timely manner, and had all the equipment needed. Amazingly enough, the mere presence of a plumber scared our Manabloc system into not leaking anymore, but the plumber gave my husband a suggestion of what to do should it start again. We'll definitely be calling Rakeman again should we have plumbing needs arise that are beyond our skillset.

Rakeman Plumbing is an excellent company. I called and spoke with Ruby to schedule a technician to install a new water heater. Ruby was extremely professional and helpful; she was able to dispatch a technician within a few hours. The technician, Raul, was very knowledgeable, nice, and installed my new water heater within two hours (most of that time was to drain the water heater). I will definitely use Rakeman in the future and will ask specifically for Raul.

I am a loyal Angie's List member and a very loyal Rakeman Plumbing customer. I'm temporarily staying with one of my children, and this morning we had the dreaded tub, shower, and toilet(s) over flow experience. I called the wonderful Dawn at Rakeman Plumbing who is always professional, kind, and customer-oriented. Even with this last minute call, she was able to deploy Junior Sension, Service Technician, to my daughter's home and he is an amazing plumber, meaning: knowledgeable, efficient, pleasant, patient, and highly skilled. He snaked out the problem with success! Since something similar happened last year, Junior recommended that he go a bit further for more information both to us and the company by utilizing a camera underground to determine what indepth problems we might have. It was of course optional but I liked that idea. As a result, we were able to determine some future plans of action/choices: like annually performing tree root extraction like the work done today, or - a possible permanent fix that would be more costly. These are options but we now have a video that shows three distinct cracks in underground pipes that will have to be addressed annually or in one larger, permanent procedure. But he fixed the immediate problem which he estimated would carry us at least a year. I was so impressed with Junior, and as always very impressed with Rakeman who stands out for their honesty and expertise. Again, thank you Rakeman, Junior, and special hugs to Dawn!
