they checked water valves under the kitchen sink and the hot water heater - found everything to be OK, requiring no service, and did not charge me for the service call - this is the second time i have used them - the first time to install a new toilet - they are the greatest and i will always call them for my plumbing needs.

A part on my water heater went out and the type of water heater I have is not easy to fix. 2 other plumbers came out, but recommended I call Rakeman as they know how to fix my type of water heater. They came out at 6 at night, needed to return the next day with a part. My hot water heater was missing the sticker on it that has the model and serial number on it to make sure Corky ( the technician) got the right parts for that model. He walked to my neighbors houses to check theirs. After Corky figured out what part I needed, he replaced it quickly. I would recommend them.

Had a self created leak due to adding a water filter. Didn't have the tools to repair the copper tubing. They came quickly, fixed it right away and didn't charge much for the work. Great Job. Friendly tech.

I called Rakeman on Monday morning because we noticed some discoloration in the baseboard on the first floor wall between the kitchen and dining room. I spoke with Dawn. She said that someone could come to the home between 3 and 6 on Monday for a free estimate. Corky came to our home around 5:45 pm on Monday. After determining that the leak was from the upstairs guest bathroom, he said that he could come back on Wednesday to cut open the wall to see what the problem was. As long as we don't use the guest bathroom, we should be okay. Corky said that the only way to determine the source of the leak was to cut open the wall. He said that we should call them on Tuesday morning to schedule him to come out on Wednesday because he was pretty booked on Tuesday. He said that he would be surprised if fixing this problem took more than three hours. However, he also said that because there was water and it was behind the wall, there could be mold back there. I called Rakeman on Tuesday morning at about 8:30 pm and scheduled for Corky to come back to our house on Wednesday afternoon to take care of the leak. However, I got a call at work from Dawn later that morning (about 10:40 am) who said Corky would be able to come our home at about 11:30 am. I headed home from work and got home at about 11:25 am. Corky got to our home shortly thereafter. He replaced the toilet fittings in the master bathroom and made toilet work much better (stronger flush) than before. This took him about 10 minutes. After he was all done, it seemed like he was never there. He cleaned up the area after he was finished. I had attempted to do this but couldn't get the toilet to stop leaking. I knew the fittings needed to be replaced but didn't have the confidence to do it myself. After Corky took care of the master bathroom, he started the dealt with the leak in the wall between the kitchen and dining room. After Corky cut away the drywall he found that the 3" cleanout drain pipe was cracked. Luckily there was no mold, just a bunch of wastewater from the bathroom, probably built up over several years or so. He cut out a section of the pipe and replaced it with a new section with fittings on either side. It was a tight area to work in because the cleanout drain pipe was super close to the opposite side of the drywall and a copper water pipe. He seemed to take care in the tight surrounding he was given. He finished replacing the cleanout drain pipe in about 40 to 45 minutes. In doing all of this "dirty" work, he was very careful in keeping the surrounding carpet clean. Corky did a great job of keeping the area looking like it did before he got there (except there was a rectangular hole in the wall (expected); no mess left behind!! All in all, he spent about an hour taking care of the two jobs, working efficiently and with care. Corky was patient with the questions I had. If I have other plumbing needs in the future, I would definitely like to have Corky come back. He seemed very trustworthy and honest. On his way out, he even recommended that we cover our antisiphon pipe for the sprinkler with a thick towel because he said it was going to freeze in the next day or two. I covered the exposed pipe as he was leaving. Great experience with Corky and Rakeman Plumbing!!

I called them in the morning and in an hour they were at my door. Mike was very helpful and went to work immediately. Everything worked perfectly after he finished. I would call them again. I also got a 15% discount for being an Angies list first timer.

Within an hour of my call, Rakeman technician Tommy was right on time. Very courteous, very professional, knew his stuff and did not waste any time in getting the job done. Any future plumbing needs, Rakeman gets my call.

Have used this company for all our plumbing needs since moving to Las Vegas. Can't speak to cost versus others since we've been happy with the service we don't bother to shop around.

They arrived late in the day, didn't know if he could get the new tank, but someone was right behind him with a replacement tank. I would have been upset if they didn't bring one since they told me on the phone that 99% of the time, the tank needs to be replaced. However, they did bring one and he was very fast. 45 minutes start to finish, would definitely use again.

He did good installation and took old disposal with him. Tightened all fittings under sink.

Called Rakeman Plumbing this morning.. They told me they would be at our home between 12-5 today. They neither called nor did they show up. When I called after 5 to cancel the only explanation was they were very busy today. I mentioned all it took was a phone call to let us know. No call...no show.

called for appointment to check one toilet which would not flush arrived on time and snaked the drain with no results then pointed out that refill tube was not getting enough air to aid the flushing process checked second toilet which flushed correctly because the toilets were thirty years old and discussed with us the benefits of replacements which seem logical we agreed and he returned the next day and replaced both toilets we are happy we made this decision and would use this company again we had a minor problem with the installation with one of the units and was corrected the day we called

When the plumber, Tommy, arrived, he parked a distance away from my condo. My friend went to see if he had gotten a bit lost because it's a condo complex with many buildings. He was rude and abrupt to her. He told her he knew where he was going and he'd be there when he got there. After he finished his 3-4 minutes of work, he refused to accept my Angie's List coupon, worth a whole 15% off, because the condo was vacant. I just moved on Wednesday. Nowhere on the coupon does it say the home must be occupied for the coupon to apply. He said it was his job to tell the customer the coupon doesn't apply. Then, after phoning the office, he accepted the coupon but only discounted 10% for a return customer. He said I had already used Rakeman. Absolutely false. I don't know where he got his information or he just pulled it out of thin air. I have never used this provider before. $98 for 4 minutes of work is absurd. He spent more time on the phone getting authorizations than working. I thought I would give this provider a shot given the glowing reviews. What a costly mistake.

Tech was clean, attention, on-time and very efficient. He cleaned up his immediate work area. The entire job was 1 hour.

Corky arrived on time and quickly repaired the leaky faucet in our backyard. This faucet also provides water for our swimming pool. He presented a cheaper solution but we wanted to replace the entire fixture as it was approximately 20 years old. We will certainly use Rakeman Plumbing again if we have plumbing-related issues in the future.

I had Corky come out to my house . He was very personable and professional. I told him I was not getting hot water and showed him the hot water heater . Apparently there was a thermo sensor which had gone bad . He replaced it and the hot water heater has worked great ever since. It would have been easy and a lot more costly to sell me an entire hot water heater but this technician was honest and treated me with respect . Thank you Rakeman and thank you Corky !

My house in Mt Charleston, NV, has two bosch tankless water heaters. One is about 15 years old; the other about 8. Neither had ever been flushed or serviced, and sometimes failed to function properly. I checked with a number of plumbers, and found several that would service tankless water heaters for $100 to $200 each. They did not charge extra to go up the mountain. Rakeman was the only plumber I found certified by Bosch to service their water heaters. Rakeman was expensive; $630 to clean and service the two water heaters plus a $243 trip charge to travel 21 miles up the mountain. I went with Rakeman in spite of their high cost and outrageous trip charge because I wanted someone experienced with Bosch products. Their technician Mic fit the bill. Mic spent three hours working nonstop. He knows what he is doing; the water heaters work well now. Rakeman did honor the Angies list coupon.

Our kitchen Kohler faucet would not swivel. We called Kohler and they sent us a new one free because they have a lifetime warranty. I called three places and like Rakeman best. Also a friend recommended them. Tommy came over within two hours, swapped out the faucet, and was on his way in 45 minutes. They charge $108 minimum less Angie's 15%. Tommy was great, service was great. What more can one ask for?

The plumber was very nice, professional and knowledgable. He explained everything and exactly what needed to be done. He was the only one that was ethical.

We were having problems with our water heater for a few months, and eventually decided to call a water heater company to fix it. Unfortunately, after coming in twice in a week to try to fix the problem, the water heater company told us there was nothing they could do. That is when we called Rakeman Plumbing. A friendly plumber (Jim Stout) came in on August 8 and did a lot of trouble shooting to fix the problem. The first thing he did was to call the water heater manufacturer (something that the previous repairman from the other company never did). From this call we determined that: a) the tank was still under warranty and b) that they would provide the parts if needed. Various steps were taken to fix the problem ? from resolving electric issues, to ordering parts for the heater. Eventually, after trouble shooting every single issue, we discovered that the problem was with the tank itself - calcification was short circuiting the lower element of the heater, and filling the lower third of the tank. Because the tank was still under warranty, Jim promptly ordered a new tank, changed it, and we are now enjoying the much needed hot water. Can?t thank Jim enough for his work. Believe me, the trouble shooting took a lot of time and patience, and Jim was able to handle everything professionally and answer every question we had. The pricing was fair and the job was well done. We would not hesitate to recommend Rakeman Plumbing for future plumbing projects.

Called Rakeman plumbing and within 11/2hours of the call the repair was completed by Junior Sension. He was very good and diagnosed the problem immediately - had the parts and also put in a new shut off valve. We were very pleased with the response time and the workmanship. We definitely will use Rakeman and Junior again.

Rakeman furnished and installed a new electric water heater in my high rise condominium apartment. I will use Rakeman for future plumbing work.

The plumber was able to come the same day and get us going right away! He was pleasant and suggested that we switch out a minor part ourselves because he felt that it was overpriced to purchase it from them. We would definitely use this company again!

They ladies in the office were abrupt and unprofessional. They asked for a printout of the 10% off coupon they are offering online to members. I was very disappointed with their unprofessionalism.

Everything was great and they are really responsive and professional. They even referred me to another company regarding a fire sprinkler line (which they can't do) so I was pleased with that help as well.
