They were very polite and a few days later their main office mailed me a bill. The price was quite reasonable for the inspection by 2 men and the bill itemized the specific charges ( inspection and tubes of caulk)

Ben showed up on time and gave me a estimate that was half of the amount that I had received from 3 other roofers. They did the work the following morning and it took them the exact amount of time he told me it would. They clean up after themselves. The work they did looks great. + -1 moreHired another roofing contractor because, after waiting for more than two weeks, nobody from Prestige Roofing ever called back. Very unprofessional. If they were that busy, they should at least have referred us to another company.
Description of Work: Called for an appointment to get an estimate for a leaking roof. Spoke with Penni, who said they were very busy due to a recent rainstorm, but that she would make sure to keep in touch. After four days of not hearing from her, we called back. Was told they were too busy to set up an appointment, but they would keep in touch. It has now been over two weeks, and nobody ever called back.

+ -1 moreExcellent, they showed up when they said they would for the estimate and the work. Everything was done on time and explained to me why and how things were done. He even offered to take pictures to show how the repair was done.
Description of Work: The roof on my pool house had some water staining at the edges of the roof since there was no drip edge installed originally. I also need a pole flashed on my patio cover where there used to be an old satellite dish. We weren't having any roofing leaks, this was more of a maintenance repair, but I figured it was better to fix it early before the roof sheathing was rotten. Prestige came out and explained how they would have to remove a couple rows of roofing tile and replace that section of roofing paper and install the drip edge. The worker, Benjamin, found a couple other spots of water staining where the original roofing paper wasn't overlapped far enough and offered to fix what he could and explained in detail how he would install the new roofing paper and seal the edges with mastic (at the repair section only) to prevent water infiltration. It was just one guy working (Benjamin), but he worked quickly (took a day plus about two hours) and neatly. He offered to show me on the roof what exactly the problems were and how he was going to fix them. He also added the flashing I needed on my patio and the whole thing looks great. He asked me what color I wanted to match the existing material and you can tell he did a quality job and it's water tight. Much better than me going up and slathering on roofing tar and a piece of home depot flashing :) I didn't get multiple price quotes on this job, but compared to other roofing repairs I've had done in the past, I thought there prices were very reasonable, especially considering the estimate was free. I'm very happy and would definitely use them again.

I liked the professionalism that Prestige Roofing had. The price was same for all three of them with just 10 or 15 dollars less or more. So, I went with the people that if felt were the most professional.

+ -1 morePrestige Roofing came out on 11/11 for an estimate of repairing a tile on the peak of the roof which had slipped down and left a hole exposed. I asked Benjamin to look at the rest of the roof and see if there were other issues to be fixed, as we just bought the 12-year-old home this summer and had only had a ground-based visual inspection. Benjamin took pictures of two issues he suggested needing fixing: about 20 broken tiles, and raising the wood support and adding weather blocking along all of the peaks. (The nails were just barely into the existing wood, which is what allowed the one to slip, and they were unevenly placed and had a jagged appearance.) He provided an estimate of $707, and was happy to schedule the work for the following week after I had consulted with my spouse. Benjamin returned on 11/16 to begin the work. They had an emergency job come up that caused him to be late to the house, but Penny called from the office to let me know. The work was completed on 11/17, and the peaks are now straight and even, with additional weather blocking under them to help ensure that the weather will stay outside. Benjamin and Penny were both friendly and professional, and it was a pleasure to work with them both. We paid by check and I've already received an invoice/receipt in the mail. Although the repairs ended up costing more than we expected (because we thought it was going to be a simpler level of repair), the work came in right at at the estimate of the full recommended work.

+ -1 moreFantastic. Called Prestige in the morning. They said they could probably come out the same day. They called about 2 hours later and said the service person could be at our home in about an hour. Came on time, made a quick inspection and stated he had to go to the supplier to pick up the required design. Came back within 1 1/2 hrs and replaced 8 tiles. Before proceeding, he explained that they didn't have an exact replacement and asked if I thought the replacements would still be OK. Qverall, VERY professional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. While I didn't obtain an estimate, I thought the price they charged was very reasonable.

The composition shingle replacement on the south shingle section had some issues that I identified and pointed out to the Prestige personnel, they immediately called back their roofers and the issues were corrected in a timely manner.

+ -1 moreThe office staff is professional and courteous. Tom came to my house and evaluated the damage from the water leak. He was honest and explained that the leak is probably from the balcony but offered to troubleshoot it by running a hose/water down the roof line in question. The conclusion was that the roof was not the issue. His knowlege and integrity were impressive and I would not hesitate to call him for any future roofing issues. He spent over an hour troubleshooting the problem. He would not accept my offer to pay him for the appointment.

+ -1 morePrestige found the leak, pointed it out to me, and fixed it with a one year warrenty on workmanship against leakage, for the price quoted. It also nailed down loose tiles and pointed out and fixed a potential drainage probelm, where an extention was added to my home, no charge. I highly recommend this company over Dean who did not want anything to do with the leak if the whole roof was not replaced. Professional Roofing Services who wanted to replace half the roof and would give me no warrenty. TLC came in 200 dollars higher than Prestige. Ther was one other company that quoted me a price to repair the roof crown but did not find the leak. I told him where it was and he quoted me a price for the leak. I won't name that company because at least they came down to give me an estimate.
Description of Work: I live in Las Vegas and on 12/18/2009 it snowed to the tune of about 4 inchs. The snow took a few hours to melt and while doing so a leak developed in the ceiling. I call Prestige as well as three other roofing companies. Three of the companies either could not find the leak or wanted to replace part or all of my roof.

+ -1 moreIt went well. They assessed the damage, described it to me, and called the next day with an estimate. The estimate sounded reasonable so I hired them to repair my roof. The arrived a couple hours later and did the work needed to fix the roof. The only problem is that I can go up on the roof to see what was done, so I will have to wait until the next heavy rain to validate that they did a good job. That's why I didn't mark the quality section of your survey. But other than that, Prestige was very good.
Description of Work: I noticed a big water stain on my office/den ceiling. I figured it was a roofing problem so after checking Angie's List for roofer reviews, I settled on Prestige. A man was sent out a day later, he assessed the problem and described it to me. His office called the next day to give me the estimated cost of the repair. It sounded reasonable so I agreed to have Prestige repair the roof. They came out that afternoon to fix the roof. The water stained ceiling needs to be painted over; they suggested I get a painter to do that, since they only did external roof repair.

When they came to put the roof on they were very friendly. They left me extra tile and the roof looks beautiful. I highly recommend them. Their price was the most comparable out of all of the estimates I had been given.

I selected them based on their ratings, from the first phone call to schedule an inspection (awesome customer service lady by the way-Layla) all the way until the work was done, it was perfect. The gentleman who inspected also performed the repairs. I had another company charge me over $400.00 for replacing only seven tiles on my roof in 2004 and they used the wrong size tiles, which I had ordered extra of for future repairs. When Prestige arrived to inspect, discovered broken tiles (golf ball hits) and where the leak was coming from. When they arrived to do the work a few days later, after a wonderfully reasonable estimate, he informed me that the tiles I had purchased from the other company were not the correct size for my roof. He had to work to adjust and move to make them fit (extra time and labor he did not charge me for), he also asked me how many tiles the other company stated they had replaced, told him, he then informed me that he only counted seven that had been changed...he apologized for the obvious fact I had been ripped off by the other company. My roof is now ready for the monsoon season, and the new golf ball hits that will arrive. However, I am comforted to know that I have the best roofer ready when the time comes again...Prestige Roofing...THANK YOU SO MUCH!

+ -1 moreThe estimator was courteous, informative and knew his job. He came within a day or two of my requesting an estimate. The work started within days of my signing the contract, with the shingles being delivered and stored on the roof, then the workmen coming out and taking a day and 1/2 to go from ripping off the old shingles to completely done. They were fast, professional, and cleaned up all their mess and then some. They even trimmed back part of my large tree that had contributed to some of the problems I had with the former roof. I have a pool and there was absolutely no debris from the roofing job in it.
Description of Work: Removed old shingles from entire roof, replaced damaged plywood base where needed, put new felting material, doubled in the roof drainage angles, installed new shingles, new flashing and new metal edging along the entire exteriors. They would have replaced the venting but it was still fairly new.

When done with repair work, started replacing other broken tiles on roof, and discovered a small defect from original construction of roof, that would not have been found if broken tile was not nearby. Helped me to go up on roof so I could see defect, and then he fixed problem at no additional cost. Did a great job of cleaning up all debris when he was done.

Their estimator John promptly came out and gave me an estimate, thoroughly explaining the process and breakdown of steps. He spoke highly of the company and mentioned how involved the project supervisors are every step of the way. Anyone who has dealt with contractors understands the importance of quality control. The workers started on time, cleaned up each day and were extremely professional, the project supervisor kept in contact throughout. It was going to rain the second day into the project and they called to let us know that they waterproof at each step and we had nothing to worry about (they were right). Our neighbors watched the process and made comments on how impressed they were (2 of which are going to call the company for repairs). I cannot say enough about this company. The ground was spotless when they left.
Description of Work: They replaced our 20 year-old roof on our 3,100 sq. ft. home. The tiles were still good so they reused. They used two layers of felt underneath, installed flashings, vents, etc.

+ -1 morePrestige was very responsive to our original calls and to our needs during the contracting stage. Their man was right on time for the initial visit and estimate. The estimate was exactly what was promised and expected, and we were very pleased that they did not try to do more work than what was required. The contract arrived as promised and the work was scheduled and performed exactly as promised. They even cleaned up the patio thoroughly after the work to make sure there was no debris. I was very happy with Prestige and would hire them again, and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: The roof around the chimney occasionally leaked during heavy rains and needed repair. The contractor removed tiles and installed new flashing and scuppers, along with constructing a new roof peak that would shed the run-off around the chimney. They also replaced several loose and damaged tiles around the remainder of the roof, and resealed all of the flashing around the other roof piping penetrations.
