M. Cervantes Landscaping

I recommend M. Cervantes landscaping. The owner is named Saul Lopez. His business is licensed, insured and pays its fair share of taxes. He and his staff took two patches of dirt also known as my front and back yard and turned them into beautiful landscapes for a very reasonable price. They have proven over the past four years to be reliable and honest. M. Cervantes services the Downtown area on Tuesdays and the homes he services are, arguably, the homes with the best curb appeal. In the past four years, I've had M. Cervantes complete several projects for me. The first was a side yard. I was at a loss what to plan there as the area receives no sunlight during the day due to an awning I'd rather not remove on the side of the house. The area of the side yard is long and narrow. He suggested rock installation. I was hesitant since I pictured a side garden in the small, narrow patch of yard there but due to the lack of sunlight, I realized that was unrealistic. His staff came in, prepped the area, cleaned it of some debris and other weeds, lay down plastic tarp specially made to contain rock and brilliantly came up with a wonderful design with two different types of rocks. I really loved the creativity and ingenuity. Additionally, I've added a couple adirondack chairs and the area is PERFECT for afternoon reading. No sunlight - slight breeze. It's really quite lovely now. The other big project I've given him in the past four years was to prepare my back yard for a large wedding reception. Again, I was amazed by the results of their labor. They somehow tamed my out of control backyard (I have several trees and had overgrown bushes and oleander). They also re-seeded and fertilized my lawn with manure. It did smell for a couple weeks but the results were nothing short of dazzling. Many of the wedding guests commented on the beauty of the yard and the attention to detail. The last big project was a very large palm tree which was starting to encroach on my neighbors back yard and about to damage the cinder block wall behind it. Because I wasn't sure if this job was too large for M. Cervantes Landscaping to handle, I did call several palm tree removal specialists. The quotes came in SO expensive. Someone actually quoted me a few thousand dollars!!!!!! I decided to ask my landscaper if it was a job he could do. They not only removed the tree from the root but disposed of it and cleaned the area for a fraction of what every other tree removal service wanted. The price above is what I pay monthly for weekly maintenance and I not only think it is very well-worth it but reasonable for what they do. One warning: Some staff do not have very good English but communicate very well in-person. Additionally, I know they've purposely set their GPS to English only in order to learn which I thought was very cool!
