The toilet was never fixed and the over charged us by at least $1500., when asked for a break down they never got back to us. next thing we know we, Lange Plumbing is putting a lien against our home for work that they never completed. They would not give us a break down for and never fixed our toilet. NEVeR USE this company as they do not work with and type of integrity what so ever. Save yourself a huge headache and run from this unprofessional company as fast as you can.

When I finally spoke to your husband, Lavert, in December to collect the $2,616 that was past due, he told me that you were having a problem with one of the toilets. Although it was past the 30 day warranty, I dispatched one of my technicians to go to your home to look at it. Kyle tried on 3 different days to contact Lavert, but was not able to reach him, nor did Lavert return his phone calls. Regarding the Lien, you were sent a Notice of Intent, NOT a Lien. A Notice is something that must be done, per statute, 15 days prior to recording a lien. Since we had not been paid for the work that was done, we had no other choice but to send the Notice to you. I would like to say THANK YOU for your payment last week and would like you to know that a Lien will not be filed on your property. You received an AMAZING price for a new main water line and 2 toilets repaired. It's sad, I had a customer call me the other day that told me another local plumbing company charged her $28,000, yes that is 28 THOUSAND DOLLARS, for a new 20' main water line. I'm sorry that you felt the need to damage our reputation by placing a bad Review on any outlet you could find, however, we are a good and reputable company and our customers know it. I called for a price and was told that the do not price water heater jobs over the phone. Many other companies were happy to provide such information. I was told they would need to come out and price the job. I think this is a scam to get you to invest more time and effort in comparing prices. Swapping out a water heat with one of like type and quality is a straightforward job when access is easy. Other professionals gave me a price and told me that if unexpected things came up that were not standard the price would have to be increased but most jobs go as planned. If after reading this review Lange chooses to get in touch with me with a price I would be happy to amend this negative review.

It was our experience that customers who received a price over the phone then received a different price when a plumber actually saw their plumbing issue, were unhappy because "that wasn't what they were quoted over the phone". This response was repeated for years, even though it was explained that if additional work was needed, there would be an additional charge. It happened so many times, therefore, we changed the policy to NO PRICING OVER THE PHONE. Your water heater (and its accompanying apparatus’) is 11 years old, and there have been many changes with the NAECA and local codes during that time. We like to provide our customers with as much knowledge as possible so they can make an informed decision. Regarding your review, considering we didn’t perform a service for you, how can you give us an F for Responsiveness (did we not answer your call quickly enough?), give us an F for Professionalism (I listened to the recording of your conversation, she was very professional); give us an F for price when your complaint is we didn’t provide you with a price? Since you don’t like our policy, you are free to use whatever company you like, however, we don’t deserve a bad review. We have 19 years of customer feedback that dictates our policies. They are a good solid company. They are not the cheapest, but they do comply with all the codes. I did not have any issues. I live in a manufactured home. Manufactured homes require special type of water heater. It is nonsense, but it is required by the state. So what they do, they end up packing $500 to $600 on their regular water heater. They basically screw you, but you do not have any choice. They understand that.

Description of Work: Drain would not drain at my office. They came out. They fixed the drain and broke the sink of which I had to pay for. They did not guarantee the drain clog and it clogged again and flooded our office. I am not a plumber and really do not understand why this happened. Maybe my office is really difficult? First of all, we didn't clear the sink through the drain line as you have a clean out under the sink, so there is no way we broke your sink; more importantly, it wasn't your sink that was broken, it was the drain line to the sink that was leaking; Also, as you clearly state in your review, this has been an unsolved "plumbing problem forever". I don't appreciate your bad review on a problem that has been ongoing. The line was clear at the time my technician left. Since this has been a problem, and the technician pulled back too much toilet paper, the cause could be that someone in your office is using too much toilet paper, or you have a break in your line which will allow some paper to go down, but not all. Eventually the paper blockage builds to a point that nothing else can pass. We recommend you have the line cameraed. If the line is fine, then you would need to have a discussion with your employees. The last suggestion we could make is that you put in a power flush toilet that will push the massive amounts of paper down the line further and will hopefully have a better chance at reaching the city main. Currently my KYK generation water machine ( $ 1400 ) is clogged and will not work even though I had it checked by the representative that sold it to me. Water flow throughout my house is slower and I think my new Samsung washer is being affected even though I had the other plumber also replace the valves and lines on the washer. To be honest, I think I got hosed on the deal and this guy just went right on with the big jobs without really checking my situation closely and I will never use Lang plumbing again. I think I may have to have all my water lines flushed and send my KYK in for some sort of overhaul. Honestly they stink and as I said they will never get a recommendation or more business from me. I am not sure of the date that the work was done but I do have the billing somewhere in my home.
Description of Work: My water heater failed and my washing machine also stopped working because the sensor went bad in the machine. Rocky, their journeyman plumber replaced the water heater and changed a configuration on my alkaline water machine to supposedly make the flow better. That did not work because in doing the way he modified it made the water pressure to high. After he left I noted that the water flow in my house had been reduced drastically. I called him back and asked him to replace the valves on my water line to the house but he never responded claiming that he had other jobs that came first. I paid $ 1700 for his services and had to pay out $ 300 to another plumber because he would not fix the main water line into my house.

I searched Angie’s list and decided to contact LANGE PLUMBING for an estimate for this job. On August 7th, a LANGE representative visited my home, and after viewing the faucets, gave me an estimate bid of $250.00. The bid included: #1. Cutting open the wall and replacing both faucets in the outlet box. #2. The bid also included checking for leaks and adjusting the pressure regulator. On August 29, a LANGE plumber performed step #1 and only the leak checks from #2. NOTE: During this whole process, I was never given any information as to what the finished job would look like, or type of faucets being installed. I trusted the plumber to perform a quality installation. That was my oversight. It was just cut, replace, turn on the water, check for a leak, sign the paperwork, take the $$ and out the door. I then contact a handyman recommended by the plumber to come in and repair the areas in the dry wall that the plumber had cut away to replace the faucets. It was only then that we noted the faucets were not properly secured to the outlet box, and moved every time the faucets were turned on or off or wiggled. The handyman also said he could not properly secure the face plate to the outlet box because the way the valves were installed. I worked with this condition for more than 3 year, believing the plumber had correctly replaced and secured the faucets. Finally, feeling the loose faucets shouldn’t be in this condition and discussing this condition with friends, I contacted LANGE PLUMBING through their web site. On March 2, 2016, I received a response to my message, stating they would get back with me as soon as possible. With no response from LANGE PLUMBING for 2 months, I responded to their March 2nd email on May 24th, again on May 31st and again on June 6th. Finally, on June 7th, I received a response from Bernie Lange, Owner LANGE PLUMBING. The response was basically we did everything right. LANGEs solution to this situation, “As far as the valves being loose and all the gaps around the box my suggestion is to replace the entire thing to get a perfect fit. The cost would be $350.00 - plus drywall repairs. Depending on the condition of the drain pipes.” That’s right; pay them another $350.00 to correct the initial installation. On June 6th and again on June 24th, I responded to the LANGE email dated June7th. Nothing but silence. After deliberating on the response, I feel I may post my comments on Angie’s list, making viewers aware of the quality workman shop that I did not received. One foot note to the LANGE plumbing response involves the mention of the 2” drain pipes. When LANGE made the estimate, the 2” pipes were fitting in the laundry room washer outlet box. And, the damaged faucets were secured to the box and the box was secured to the wall. At no time during the initial estimate or the actual faucet replacement, were any concerns about the 2” pipes. The pipes were never moved. And the replaced faucets move about ¼” when turning on/off the water.

One Friday morning (the date of is approximate), we had problem flushing the toilet. My wife is a stroke survivor and that particular bathroom is the one she uses; so we needed to have fixed quickly. We called another company and they told us the earliest they could come out was on the following Monday. We then called Lange and the woman we spoke to said they were busy but she would check and call us back in twenty minutes. Right on time she called and that someone should be out in hour. The gentleman came out on time and assessed the problem quickly. After he told us what he was going to do, he proceeded to work on the toilet. He was quick, neat and cleaned up after. He was very polite and professional. The bill was about $150, which we thought was very reasonable due the urgency of getting someone to fix the toilet. From the time I made the call, to when the work was completed and the gentleman left, it was less than 2 hours. That's service! I would definitely use Lange Plumbing again.

We are remodeling a bathroom, installing a double vanity in place of the current single vanity. We called Lange based upon a friend's recommendation, as well as the great reviews on Angies's List. The plumber showed up and within minutes quoted us $1800. We expressed that seemed high for only running plumbing off of the lines that are already there. He explained that he would do all the work - demo the old vanity, install a new one, install the faucets. We explained that there was a miscommunication - as we only wanted him to do the plumbing - nothing else. Again, he quoted $1800. My husband clearly told him 3 times that we were only looking for a plumbing estimate. He went out to his truck to write the estimate, and brought back an $1800 estimate. We were frustrated that he wasn't listening to our needs at all. During the conversation my husband asked him if there was any chance the plumbing stub out could be in the wall. He sternly said 'no, there's no possible chance'. The previous owners of the house opted for a single vanity, but the bathroom is designed to have a double sink and we thought there was a good chance there was plumbing already there. Sure enough, after he left, we broke open the dry wall and found water lines and the drain. We would have paid Lange to hook up the new sinks, an easy job. Instead, we will simply do the job ourselves due to the plumber's lack of communication and customer service skills.

Its been quite awhile ago. I had them do some minor work but was very nice and very prompt. When we had the water pipe problem, water was going into the street from the water line, it was broken somewhere. Anyways the water department man came by, he was going to check the meter to see if it was anything wrong with the meter that was causing this and he said I recommend lange and thats how we got the referral for lange. It was a good and quick service.

Mario couldn't get handle off shower so he used a saw and left all of the metal shavings in the tub, He put wrong cartridge in when he changed it so even when you turned it off it kept running. Terrible service. There is no way he was a plumber.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. The gentleman successfully repaired the leak, but I took issue with the price of the service. Specifically, the original estimate was $400, but I ended up paying $2100 which is exorbitant considering that they installed about two feet of PVC piping and filled in a hole that was no deeper than a foot. What's more is that he didn't have to spend any time or effort locating the leak since another company had already done so.

The only good part was the technician was nice and seemed like he was genuinely not trying to rip us off, but their price structure is very high and the garbage disposal stopped working a week or two later. Turns out it was wired incorrectly and I had to hire someone else to repair it. I should have called them back but I didn't know for sure if it was a wiring problem and I was afraid of being overcharged or them not doing it correctly again.

This is the second time I use this company. I was happy with the service last time. Fast response, punctuate, knowledgeable, honest and reasonable pricing. Darrel did a great job to fix my leaky pipe. He also honored my 10% discount coupon for service. I'll use this company again for my future plumbing problems.

On Monday, November 10, 2014 my husband called Lange Plumbing. We got this information out of Angie?s List November Monthly. We ended up with an appointment on Tuesday for 12-4pm. To my surprise the free estimate was quoted at $59. I accepted as I was serious about getting help. I was told I would get a call when the tech was on his way so I had a half hour notice to his arrival. I happened to be in the bathroom scrubbing the tub when that phone call came in and I missed it. I called back as soon as I realized I missed the call and was told it was too late. The tech was sent to another job on the other side of town. I was upset, but I missed the call so I re-scheduled. I told the gentleman I was here the whole time and would be here no matter what. We were scheduled again for Wednesday after 3pm. I explained I had a physical therapy appointment 5 minutes from my house but my mom would be here and I would answer the phone or call right back if I could not for some reason but not to worry because someone would be here. The person who originally and re-scheduled me, Andre, said, ?Ok, no problem, it will be 3pm or later.? I stayed at physical therapy for longer than intended but planned and followed through with being home by 3pm with my mom at the residence the entire time. My phone was in my hand at physical therapy and the call came in at 2:53pm but I had the therapist working on my neck and it was not 3pm yet so I called right back within 2 minutes. When I called back, a woman, Jen I believe, told me that it was too late that the tech was on the other side of town. I did not understand that at all. I questioned her until she said, ?ok can I just give you a call back?? I said, ?Yes, please?? I ceased my therapy, missed out on my neck stretches and massage and allowed their choice not to give me 5 minutes to get back to them upset me. When she called back she said once again that the tech was on the other side of town but he would be courteous enough to come by when he was done. I said, ?Thank you!? When he got there he was nice and I accepted the offer to get my kitchen sink faucet replaced and my tub water temperature and diverter fixed for $1,119. I paid $900 up front and told the tech I wanted the work done ASAP. He said he would be back for sure and most likely the next day. He also said, ?Just call the office and get it scheduled first thing in the morning because they are probably closed by now.? At 3:48am on Thursday morning I called the business to leave a message. To my surprise someone answered. I apologized and said I just wanted to leave a message because, although I paid $900 for service that had not been started yet, I was told I needed to call in to schedule it. The woman said, ok, I will let them know and they will give you a call. I got that call at 8:30 that morning and was scheduled, not for that day, but the next, Friday morning. I explained to the woman, Jen I believe, that I had to be somewhere at noon on Friday and she assured me that the tech would be there first thing in the morning and that it would not be a problem for me to make my other appointment at noon. The next day I waited patiently until 9:30am. Finally, with 2 classes that morning, a class that evening at 6pm, a pile of work from home to do, and the commitment at noon I called in to Lange Plumbing. Andre answered the phone. I calmly asked, ?Can you tell me what your company considers first thing in the morning?? Instead of answering my question, he questioned me. After I told him I had to be somewhere at noon again, he said, don?t worry the work will be done by then no problem. I said ok and waited. The tech came and I was relieved to finally get the work that I had already paid $900 of the $1119 I was to be charged, started. When I realized the promises made to me by the office staff were not true I was upset so I called the company and voiced my complaint and asked for a discount. Jenifer, or the woman who answered the phone said, ?Hold on, let me get you the owner!? I said, ?Thank you.? I can?t remember the gentleman?s name but I started to explain to him how I felt screwed up by his company. Mind you, at this point, my tub was torn apart. I explained that I wanted to watch the job get done to completion, did not feel comfortable leaving my 80 year old mother alone, and I was very displeased that I had been misled and would like to request a discount. He said, ?Well we will just have to re-schedule!? I was shocked!!! He rudely cut me off as I tried to tell him that was not possible and asked, ?What is it you are asking me?? I repeated, ?You can?t consider giving me a discount?? He said, ?No, because we did what we said we were going to do!? At that point I realized he heard nothing I said and asked to confirm, ?Are you the owner?? He said, ?No I?m the general manager!? I then said, ?I have to leave, I am not happy about it, can I leave a check for the balance of this job or can you bill me?? He said, ?I will transfer you back to our secretary and she can take your credit card information and you can finish paying now! These people want all of the money up front, do not care if they break promises, lie when you miss a phone call and call back two minutes later, and tell you that they will put the owner on the phone to appease you and give you some inconsiderate idiot that does and will not listen to or consider anything you say because not only does a free estimate cost money, but you will have to pay up front for work you will not even get to witness if you have a life outside of the fact that you need plumbing work done at your house! I will never ever consider working with these inconsiderate people again. It is a shame because the actual person who did the work was a decent man!
Description of Work: 1. Replaced Kitchen Faucet that I provided. 2. Provided and replace tub spout diverter and hot/cold lever assembly.

I requested Cameron to do the above work as I had read reviews about him on Angie's List. He was very friendly and knew exactly what needed to be done and did it in a very professional manner. Cameron is the type of person you hope will show up when calling a plumber. He went about his work when arriving and made sure all was satisfactory when leaving. Will definitely call for Cameron if we need any more plumbing to be done. Very likable person.
Description of Work: Replaced water fill valve - replaced sink stopper that wasn't working and fixed shower that was hard to turn on! After shower was easy to turn on it made a very high humming noise and he said he would return and install a new shower head if I purchased one that I liked. He promptly returned the same day I purchased the shower and installed it without charge.

At 2pm on Sunday I noticed water running out of the bottom of my water heater. I called Lange Plumbing and left my information with an answering service. My call was promptly returned. I gave the plumber the location of my residence and the size of my water heater. He told me the service charge to come out was $59.00. I asked if there was an additional charge for Sunday and he said "it will cost a little more if I come out today". He also told me that if I was incorrect on the size of the water heater he would not be able to replace it until Monday. I agreed to wait until Monday morning to avoid the additional Sunday charge. The plumber told me he would be at my home by 8:30 and he would call first. When the plumber did not show by 9:00 I called to make sure I was still on the schedule. I was told the plumber was on an emergency flood and they could get someone out around 10:30. I then verified the service call amount which was quoted to me on Sunday and was told that because I live in Lake Las Vegas there would be an additional $111 charge even though it is within the city of Henderson. I scheduled the appointment, then called several other plumbers and found that they do not charge an additional charge for my area. I made an appointment with one of them and cancelled my appointment with Lange Plumbing.
