This is the message that I sent the owner. I went with this company based on their reviews, but my experience was terrible. Some of the door jams don’t have an even coating of paint (and my husband was the one who noticed. Where there were nail holes he filled them in and just painted without smoothing everything out. I have never had to sit under a professional and tell them what to do. And even when my husband and I told him things, he didn’t get everything and had an attitude. We found two dents on our wall (a spot that they covered and fixed and we didn’t notice until just now). His partner hit our walls constantly so I am sure that that’s what had happened. My daughter literally watched him hit the wall. I really wish when they were in my home l that they were wearing booties on their shoes because they keep tracking rocks in my house. I’ve had to ask them repeatedly to not park in my actual yard. I told him the first day that he arrived that I just had my landscaping done. But I don’t understand why these types of things have to even be mentioned? Why would you park in someone’s landscaped yard? I feel like the lack of consideration for other peoples property isn’t there. You really shouldn’t have to tell an adult how to treat other peoples property. Honestly, this is all insane to me and it’s been the most stressful thing I have had to deal with in awhile. They started off ok and then just got sloppy. I also am still really upset about him putting toxic water in my grass! Who does this? I also have a sign to not walk through my yard yet they have been doing it this entire time. They put their equipment in my newly landscaped front yard. I know they had to walk through it to get to the backyard and to the hose, but whenever they’re coming in and out of my house they literally waled through the yard, and even knocked out some of our patio lights. Again, the lack of respect just wasn’t there. I let you guys finish because it took forever-for us to put all of our stuff out of the rooms and into other rooms, but now I am not so sure this was worth everything we have gone through. We told him we wanted the yellow in the hall to be in the bathroom and the laundry room, and even though he fixed it, he originally put the wrong color. I also never told him green in our toilet area, and they fixed that too, but that wasn’t our fault. The communication was not up to par at all. It’s hard enough that we had to push back this paint job two weeks in a row because my kids are in school now. I was accommodating you, and this is how I get treated? I’m not sure if you have different crews for different types of paint jobs, but I can tell you that this experience wasn’t delightful at all, and in these photos I showed you, you can clearly tell they started to get lazy!! Even when I tried telling them as they went to different rooms what to fix, it’s like they just wanted to hurry up and finish. My husband has been here for 5 out of the 7 days they have been painting and has witnessed everything I have been saying. I’m just flabbergasted mostly because I’ve seen your work and even read the reviews, so I am not sure what happened here? The paint job doesn’t look horrible, but it definitely looks slopped together in places. When he accidentally painted my toilet area green he didn’t put a white coat on before and now the green is seeping through the yellow. And this whole thing is just super frustrating because as I said before I am not good with confrontation. It took me a lot to say all of this. Confrontation makes me super uncomfortable but I feel this has to be said. But as far as everything else went, I didn’t have time to just be sitting around in my house anymore waiting for them to keep “retouching areas” that should have been retouched as they go. You as the owner should have been stopping in to make sure everything was going smoothly. I’m not sure if you’ve ever had unhappy customers, but I know that most people won’t say something if it isn’t up to par, but I am not one of them!! I have very good attention to detail and I can’t fathom how your dad and his business partner do this for a living and couldn’t see all of the things that I pointed out! I understand the work is time consuming, but you don’t get sloppy just because you are ready for the job to be over. You work as if the work you are doing would be the work you would want done in your home. It takes a lot of your workers time, but it also takes a lot of money out of my pocket for what’s being done. This entire experience was extremely unpleasant. I’ve been contemplating on how I was going to say this, but I needed to say how I really felt. I highly doubt that if any of this happened in your home that you would be okay with this. I also felt it very rude that instead of listening to what my husband and I were telling you, that you responded with “we aren’t going to texture your entire walls”, when that’s never what I asked you to do. I simply asked you to texture the areas that your workers put spackling on!!! Also, before they left yesterday they were supposed to finish the laundry room and they didn’t. I don’t know how you want to handle this but there are several areas that need to be painted including the bathroom because as I said, the green is seeping from underneath. The areas that my husband showed them, they never fixed. He did fix some of the blinds but he did not get them all unbent and he even broke one. He got upset when my husband basically told him that he did ruin our blinds. Your dad kept telling us that our blinds were supposed to look like that, and they weren’t. Accidents happen but as adults we should take responsibility. And I don’t really appreciate you not taking any of this seriously. I have pictures of how my blinds were before your workers came in and instead of just trying to originally take care of this, it took my husband raising his voice just to get you guys to take responsibility. I’m going to take pictures of what they left behind and YOU tell me what you think it’s worth. We have to go buy paint to redo the yellow and they never finish the gray in the laundry room. They also never finished the areas they said they would. So now my husband and I have to go spend money on paint to do all of the work that your worker should’ve done before they left. It really seems like you just don’t care. There’s no way on this earth that you can tell me that if this happened to you, that you wouldn’t be upset. There’s no way that in any of the pictures I showed you, that you would think that this OK. As a business owner this should bother you because this reflects you as a company. I will be sending you the pictures of all the unfinished work, on top of the pictures I sent you of the sloppy work they started to do. Also, I don’t appreciate your dad calling my daughter a liar. We all know that the area in the hallway they damaged!! My daughter has no reason to lie about that. Again, as a business owner you should really be ashamed of this, but by the communication from you, it seems like you really just don’t care, and you will do just about anything to NOT admit that their work was not up to par. Get back to me when you can, but I will be leaving my review because this is by far the most UNPROFESSIONAL experience I have ever encountered.
