Cool Air Now!

They were pretty good. I am a part of a club where they come out once a year to check up your air, furnace and hot water heater for $75. They are very efficient. They seem to know what they are doing. I was pleased them them. There is a new unit I bought, I thought it was a little expensive, but for them to come out and check everything it is very reasonable. They are pretty good. I would use them again.

See comments under work done ...it started wrong and ended wrong. I found out about the improper installation 4 months too late ... now even the Nevada State Contractors Board cannot go after them for poor workmanship ... the statue of limitations expires after 4 years! I am 4 months outside of the window!

Salesman Andre sold me a Rheem HVAC system. The installers installed a Grand Aire. After contacting the BBB the owner, Juan offered a $100 refund. I turned him down. The difference between the two HVAC systems should be greater than $100. I believe they did this "bait and switch" because I am a senior citizen. Please check all boxes before install begins. Keep cool, but not with Cool Air Now.

It turned out well. I believe there was an additional charge on top of the 25. To a certain extent I felt like the whole was intended to make more business other than what was intended, but I was satisfied with the end result.

The service went very well. As a concerned and inquisitive person, I generally am on-site while all of my services are performed anyways because I like to ask questions and the see the work being done. While I'm no HVAC expert, I know enough to ask intelligible questions about what is happening and am smart enough to understand the process that the technician is following. In this case, Mark, did an excellent job was professional, communicative and quick. He started with the electrical componentry of the condenser units outside the house. He tested the capacitors and controller boards of the condensers and then activated the fans manually and checked the voltages. Next, Mark checked the pressures of the freon in the system using a trusty HVAC multi-gauge tool. Those pressures were in line with manufacturer standards and there was no leaks detected. Next, Mark actually checked the physical attributes of the condensers. There was a lot of vibration when the fan motors kicked on, so he inspected them all very closely for bearing wobble. After not finding any bearing wobble, he tried tightening everything on the entire unit which was exactly what was needed to quell the noise. Mark, could tell that the units had been repaired in the past and that some of the wiring that could have been done to allow for multi-speed fan operation (more eco-friendly under partial load) was not done. While I was disappointed by this fact, the care that Mark had to notify me of this was fantastic. I like to know everything about my home appliances and Mark helped to keep me in the know. After receiving an A-OK, Mark put the condensers back together, and put them in standby mode, ready to go for summer time. I couldn't be happier with the service and as long as Cool Air Now keeps offering that $25 service coupon and undercutting the competition, I see no reason not to use them in the future.

It was really bad actually. They had services they offered to me that they would inspect the AC unit in the spring and then come back in the fall to inspect my furnace. When they had the AC unit inspected, they gave me an estimate that was really high so I went with their competitor. When I called to have my furnace inspected in the fall, they never sent anyone to come out. They didn't follow through with their offer. Their offer was for new customers and that was my first experience with them. They didn't live up to their agreement. They come out late when they schedule something. After I'd called them one or two times to try and schedule the furnace inspection, they gave me all kinds of excuses like, the guy was at a different customers house and couldn't make it on time and after a couple of times, I just gave up on that. I use a completely different vendor now.

Cool Air Now! did not fulfill what they were supposed to do. They did three different houses for us, ours and two others that we own and we had a list of things of things. They were supposed to come back I think and service late this fall and they didn't, they were supposed to leave filters and they didn't. The only thing they did was they serviced the air conditioning and they caused problems in one house and it cost me over $6000 to fix it so I did not call them back. I called them back a couple of times and they were still not good. The price was great if they did what they were supposed to. They don't do what they are supposed to do.

This did not go well. I tried calling them back the same day and was told it would be the next morning. Mind you first thing in the morning which it was not. And that really matters in the middle of summer especially when a child and a senior with asthma has already gone two days without air. When the technician returned and after he checked out the unit he told me this did not work. I needed to by a new unit that my compresser was shot. I was talking to my son about whether nv energy still had the weatherization program or if there was any other help. The technician said all monies had ran out and if anyone would know it would be him. He said if I got a new unit now he could credit me the $1100 I had spent yesterday. When I questioned him he assured me they would not be on angies list if they weren't totally honest.The technician told me his boss said after all he gave me such a great deal he expected me to give a good Angie's list review. I had to borrow the money from my ex mother n law. I really feel I was played and that they took advantage of a disabled senior, especially when I called nv energy and found out there was still help out there. I hope this helps someone else

I bought the Angie's Big Deal coupon for an HVAC tune up, that was supposed to include cleaning the inside and outside coils, along with a flush of the condensate drain line. I scheduled through Angie's List, and confirmed the order by calling the company to schedule a time and date. The tech who was sent out to inspect my Goodman HVAC system said a lot of parts needed to be replaced. He said he could not perform all the work promised on the Angie's "Big Deal" because he had not been told about the coupon. His proposal/estimate to move and repair the condenser unit was twice the price of his competitor - the "quote" was done verbally and no written estimate was provided, although the work was to be over $1600. He said another tech would stop by the next day to flush the condensate drain line. No one ever came out to flush the condensate drain line, so this company did not honor the terms they had offered via Angie's Big Deal. On the phone, the Cool Air Now representative said they did free plumbing estimates too, so I had them schedule a plumber to come out the next day and do an estimate for replacing the corroded water main valve -- the quote was triple of what it should have been. Unimpressed, I had the plumbing work done by a different firm for 1/2 the price.

Michelle (dispatch) was excellent. She was kind and patient, despite what I could tell was a very hectic day. Fernando (technician) was equally great. He quickly diagnosed the problem, then took the time to tell me why it happened, what needed to be fixed, and how I could prevent a reoccurrence. Overall, the experience was excellent.

August 11th, my air conditioner went out. I called this company and they showed up within 3 hours. The name of the person who showed up was Raul. He is HVAC technician and he was very well mannered, professional, presentable, and knowledgeable. He identified the problem and gave me the price. I spoke with the owner of the company who was very polite and just as nice as Raul and he gave me a good price. The job was done properly. The work was done the following day since it was late in the evening he was not able to get the parts. I am very pleased how the whole transaction went and will recommend them anytjme.

Loved the membership options they offer.Now I have someone to service my air units and furnace twice a year. Additionally, they will replace my filters as well.

We are very satisfied with this company. We called the company back a few days later and asked if Fernando could give us a quote on the costs to make the recommendations. He called us back that same day and within a couple of days, he was back out to our house and all the service was taken care of within a couple of hours. This included replacing the motor on one of the units.

Technician was nice and professional. However, my 20 point service consisted of about 5-points. Didn't do half of what the service advertised. I wouldn't recommend this service.

Provider tried to sell me on a complete replacement of my unit. I told him to send me estimates in writing, which he said he would do. To this date, I've not heard from him again, even though he said I'd have the estimate within a couple of days of his visit. When I said to him I wasn't going to make a decision until I saw everything in writing and got a second opinion, he seemed to lose interest.

They are very friendly, informative, and accommodating. They offer emergency 24 hour services, that really saved us from the heat. Their prices are very reasonable, and I would recommend them to any member of Angie's List!

They arrived right on time. They were ready to get the job done. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. They explained what they were going to do. When the inspection was complete they explained one single small problem. Unlike most other companies-these guys were ready to fix the problem IMMEDIATELY. Cost was very reasonable. We would recommend this company and crew to all our friends and neighbors.

From the beginning, Dawn the receptionist was excellent with helping me when I called. She gave me such a great impression. Gabriel was also excellent. They were on time and knowledge. I took their spring and fall member package. I am truly satisfied and would highly recommend their service.

The house was built last year, however there was an issue with the system, or at least I thought. I purchased this deal to help narrow down the constant on/off of the unit. When Raul came out, I explained to him what I thought was wrong. He asked me several follow up questions, inspected the system then gave me the report. Nothing wrong! He told me all about this type of HVAC system. The dampers / dual zone cooling / efficiency design, etc. and to expect. The service charge was way too low for such an inspection. I was very, very impressed with the communication by the office, as well as the integrity and professionalism of the technician. Should anything come up in the future, this company will be my new go-to HVAC company. Thank you for the honesty guys.

I CAME HOME FROM WORK TO FIND MY HOUSE FLOODED AND WATER DRIPPING INTO MY UPSTAIRS AND DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOMS. I CALLED COOL AIR NOW AND THEY WERE AT MY HOUSE WITHIN 45 MINUTES AND UP ON THE ROOF AND IN THE ATTIC ASSESSING THE SITUATION. THE OLD AC UNIT HAD STOPPED WORKING AND THE CONDENSOR LINE WAS CLOGGED AND IT CAUSED THE WATER TO BACK UP AND DRAIN INTO OUR HOUSE! WE WERE TOLD THAT THE UNIT WAS TOO SMALL FOR OUR HOUSE AND THAT THE UNIT WAS BAD. JOE, THEIR SALES REP CAME OUT AND QUOTED US PRICING ON A NEW UNIT, WHICH WE NEEDED, AS IT WAS OVER 100 DEGREES. THEY WERE SO GREAT IN HELPING US WITH PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS AND FINANCING AND THEY SCHEDULED THE NEW UNIT TO BE INSTALLED THE VERY NEXT DAY! THEY ALSO HELPED US WITH GIVING OUR INSURANCE COMPANY THE REASON FOR THE WATER DAMAGE TO OUR HOME AND WHAT CAUSED IT. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND COOL AIR NOW TO ANYONE! THEY WERE FANTASTIC AND VERY PROFESSIONAL, UNDERSTANDING OF OUR SITUATION AND THEY MADE SURE WE WERE TAKEN CARE OF FROM THE SERVICE TECHS, TO SALES, TO THE OFFICE PERSONNEL. THEY TURNED A BAD SITUATION FOR US INTO A VERY PLEASUREABLE EXPERIENCE WITH THER KNOWLEDGE, THEIR EMPATHY FOR OUR SITUATION AND TREATED US LIKE WE WERE THEIR ONLY CUSTOMER. I was very happy that they were able to replace the A/C unit the very day they came out. Not having air for one day was all my family can take. They provided excellent and prompt service. However, they still need to come back to fix the trimming of the attic entrance. Someone came by two days later to fix the trimming. Excellent service and I would recommend them to family and friends!

It did not go very well. They were just too high and then they didn't show up here on time, they were late and then they never showed up after the second day. I just would not use them again.

It went very very well. The service tech who came out was very caring about what was going on. The manager sat down with us and explained what was going on with our A/C unit and why it would need to be replaced and also provided a good deal on a warranty. He has been in contact with us with making sure that the unit was working up to our standards. A very pleasant expiree working with the service people.

I was told I needed to have special drip pan fabricated. The price quoted was $600.00. I thought that was outrageous. The owner of Cool Air explained why the price was so much. I was not pleased with the price, but was pleased with the service provider.

Same day service. Our initial call was for a special that Cool Air Now was running for furnace cleaning. Had all of our 4 furnaces cleaned. Technician reported that blower starters on all 4 units were deteriorated. Had parts with him and replaced on the same day. Fast and friendly service.
