I first put in a service request to have my AC fixed on Monday (wiring issue). Their contractor came out Tuesday, said he fixed the problem and went away. Four hours later, my AC is blowing hot air into my house again. We re-opened the issue with American Home Shield, and the same guy came out Wednesday, and he said the problem was fixed (he added coolant). Eighteen hours later, the AC is blowing hot air into our house again. I called AHS on Thursday, and after several excruciating minutes with their automated response, I was finally able to speak to a person to again re-open the issue. I even asked for a different vendor to come out this time because the last one hadn't fixed the issue. On Friday, the SAME guy comes back to my place and decides to put in more coolant. I expressed some skepticism about this, but he assured me that this time it would work, despite not working the first time. Eighteen hours later, again, on schedule, my AC started blowing hot air into my house. I gave up and contacted another HVAC company outside their network, and within minutes, they found three leaks in the unit, plus a LOT of corrosion from where the coolant had leaked out. I saw a video, and the problem wasn't subtle. It was obvious. Anyone could have seen that. I told AHS multiple times that the people they were sending were incompetent, but every time I was met by a wall of resistance from staff who couldn't care less about the problems their customers are facing. AHS is a complete scam. Don't waste your money on them.
Description of Work: I needed my AC repaired, and I paid AHS $80/month, plus a $125 service fee to have this fixed. Now I'm getting a new AC unit installed at my own expense because these scammers refuse to listen to anything their clients tell them.

We have been with them for about 10 years, and they were good most part of the time, but you don't get the best contractors most of the time, the contractors sometimes call American Home Shield for repair approvals, kind a waste time and very frustrating sometimes.
